No, NO, N.O

Here is my story.
I first tried out native now, then bought native komplete.
I started working with kontakt. And within a couple month, accumulated a large number of project including it.
One morning, I try to open live, and well, it does not.
I Send the crash report to ableton, and they reply explaning the problem comes from kontakt.
Now, I think it is important to mention that, at the time, I was using the trial version of live. And it is mentionnned on their support page that the trial version does not benefit from support. YET, they replied promptly and someone was there all along to advise and try to help me fix the problem. And this over the course of a few emails.
That is customer support. That shows respect for the people that put you where you are.

Now, let’s turn to NI.
Getting hold of them in the first place is a joke. Not the funny type, mind you.
They pretend you can get in touch with them through email, and they provide a link that supposedly does that, when actually it leads to a page that says:
Due to heavy ….blabla..we do not support by email at the moment.
BAM, in your face, first hit.
Tried to use the chat. It is actually not a person chatting with you. But, a program, with pre-determined answer. Which in my case did not help in anyways.
I could once send them a email, never got any answer.
Read that again please, I NEVER GOT A REPLY
So basically, I have a brand new computer. Modern specs. Brand new ableton live. Brand new komplete.
And all the project started with kontakt in it do not even open.
And kontakt 7 crashes very often. That should be said too.
I understand that software have issues. That is normal. But what is not is when you offer no support to your customers (especially at the prices they practice) and have no shame as to trest them as fools.

What they do is putting the middle fingers at their customers.
So there you go NI, Just as everyone (almost) before me. I'll leave one star for the joke of a company you are.
Fool me once....

Oh, and they kept charging me komplete now after I purchased komplete (what's the point?) And got no answers either on that subject._

Kontakt is the worst interface ever…

Kontakt is the worst interface ever made. Very expensive, demands tons of money to be update (scheduled Obsolescence). Support is not good either.

Not to mention that the interface is ugly and counter intuitive. Couldn't hate it more.

Their FX plugins like phasis and replika are amazing but Kontakt is such a disservice to the market that I'm giving them one star even considering that.

Avoid

i try to get in touch with them about my 100e cashback from black friday deal and its impossible mission. They clamed money will be with me in 90 days of purchase, but money is still not on my bank account. Ill stop using all of their products, and i had them a lot.

I purchased a lot of plugins on black…

I purchased a lot of plugins on black Friday and I still have yet to use them. I couldn't get it set up with Fl studios so I contacted support for some help. Support still hasn't helped me. They even had the nerve to tell me to contact support. Made me send all this diagnosis and screenshots nothing im very disappointed. Can't even return downloads waisted 500 dollars. I literally have 26 emails of just nothing Stick with spectronics and arturia they got waaaay better customer service and products and easy installation. Got an update the support tech guy Terry just said who've been emailing me for two now finally said it's not my problem! Just left me hanging. Idk what to do now.

Lack of return policy, slow responses.

Purchased a keyboard from them. Return policy doesn’t exist. So even if my keyboard was broken, they wouldn’t accept it, probably wouldn’t accept an RMA.
Sent and email and they took almost a week to respond saying “our return policy states no returns on open hardware”, but still not supplying the return policy. I have yet to find it anywhere.
Along with that, the keyboard I purchased has extremely limited capabilities in most softwares and you have to use their confusing and annoying software for every vst if you even want to hope to use any of the dials or sliders on it.

Buggy Software, Support Inconsistent

I was so excited when I bought my Mikro MK3, but found out from their support team that they had issues with AMD systems. I was going to sell, but decided to wait it out and they eventually fixed the problem. Things were good for a little while until Maschine 2 refused to open plugins, and Native Access restricted access to products that I bought.

Customer service is slow to respond, and depending on who you get, you will go around in circles or just linked to troubleshooting guides on their website.

I will NEVER buy another NI product. I should've just gone with Akai like I wanted to in the first place. When everything does work, the workflow and hardware/software integration is incredible... but they don't work most of the time-- that's the problem.

Native instrument sell terrible and…

Native instrument sell terrible and dated software. Basic missing features like no ‘undo’ functions or resizable windows on cornerstone products make them unusable at best and obsolete if one is honest with themselves. Their marketing is offensive and annoying. I cannot scroll through their site with having a giant BUY NOW plaque follow me whilst scrolling up and down the page, without an option to ‘X’ it. The team should spend less time at the Berghain and more on making better products.

I’m rating 2-5 because the product sounds amazing. The customer service is nonexistent and same with support. There are issues with installation and I haven’t received any help my money could of been spent better in other places.

As such a profitable company with such a monopoly on the the market, the support is terrible. the worst I've experienced.

CUSTOMER SERVICE NEEDED TO MAKE NATIVE ACCESS RUN - INTEL MAC BIG SUR, CATALINA

[EDITED] NATIVE ACCESS DOESN'T WORK ON MAC OS CATALINA AND BIG SUR Intel processors - BUT IT CAN BE SOLVED BY CONTACTING CUSTOMER SERVICE.

In time spent a lot of time (20 to 30 hours total) and countless mails of assistance but it just doesn't work when downloaded from the site, actually I spent more time trying to solve tech problems, than using the software. I had it on Mojave, had to update to Catalina for work reasons, it worked for a while then stopped again. Recently I had to update to Big Sur for study reasons and here's the same problem again. This issue is years old now, and still not solved. Downgrading to Native Access previous version (v.1) doesn't work as well. UPDATE: I opened a ticket, received assistance, and it worked by inputting a Terminal command. It took around a week to receive the full assistance and get the program running. The staff member that assisted me was kind and helpful; yet, I find it concerning to have such tech problems in 2022.

Won’t be doing business again.

Won’t be doing business again.
Bought a S88 for a lot of money.
Broke after a year which they fixed and sent back.
Broke again within the year out of warranty. Now the cost and brexit mean it would cost nearly €200 to get it fixed and re delivered.
Bearing in mind it’s the same fault as when under warranty. Will never buy another product. I wish I could resell my entire library that I now have no hardware control over. Software control of komplete is utter nonsense I can’t find anything.
Less than one star review. Never again. New Arturia keylab way cheaper and offers far more integration. It’s a no from me

Horrible

Horrible, Native Access doesn't work, I'm trying to install the Collector Edition since one week, it keeps failing and hanging.
On top of that, they're the only big company still not providing support for Apple Silicon M1. Technical support is awful. I can't believe a company selling so expansive products can behave like that.
Unfortunately I can't pick 0 stars, that would be the correct rate for Native Instruments.

Playing Politics with Overpriced Crap

I don't care what anybody's opinion is concerning Ukraine or Russia. I got all the way to checkout only to see a ridiculous notice about standing with Ukraine and not doing web transactions in Belarus or Russia. The Russian government doesn't give a rip about music producers and there's probably a Rimsky-Korsakov or Shostakovich that can't do an upgrade. IMHO it's just dumb to persecute individual artists over what governments do. So, I guess it will be a long while before I'll do business with Native Instruments again. If ever. I spend too much time babysitting software licensing when I want to be creating. Very annoying. No artist should support any action that suppresses or disfavors other artists. What are these dummies thinking???

The bad service that the company has is…

The bad service that the company has is incredible, I bought an S4 with the case and they only sent me the case🤦 I had to contact them to send me the S4, and it took a long time to arrive. Later I returned them because they took a long time to arrive, and they did not pay me the shipping fee. Well today it's been more than 9 days since the items arrived and they still haven't returned my money nor have they told me when it will be. The lack of commitment that this company has is incredible.

First I was served by Cronway, who did not help me, and it seems that he/she did not care what happened to me as a client, and now I am supposedly served by Patrick, who does not answer my emails.

I had to make an account just so I could leave this review.

I've bought a bunch of stuff for Kontakt through Native Instruments, and this morning I felt like playing around with their Session Guitarist plug for Kontakt, so I went on their site and I bought it.

About 6 hours in, and I still can't access my purchase through my account in Native Access, and my order status on their website is "under review". Why? paid for a digital product, just give it to me?! Anyway, fine! I'll write in their support chat when it opens I thought.

Time comes around, the chat opens and I ask why my order is under review. The support guy says "Oh, I'll review your order, you should have it now".

Well that was easy enough. When I ask why this is the case, and why Native Instruments are the only ones that do this with DIGITAL PRODUCTS (I cannot for the life of me wrap my head around this), he closes the chat on me.

So that's it I guess. Trash system. Give people their digital products instantly for gods sake.

Native Access just doesn’t work

I tried to download the available plugins as soon as Native Access was installed on my computer. It got stuck on the first one with no possibility to pause the download - not even exiting, closing NA in task manager, restarting the computer or reinstalling the app did anything. I was stuck on the first plugin and obviously couldn’t install anything else. 0/10

Horrendous Avoid At All Costs

Bought a Maschine+ Which meant to be a standalone except the cpu overloads at the sniff of activity in fact 1 kit can have you maxing out cpu, the available software in standalone is pity full I paid to upgrade to komplete 13 to have use of strings pianos etc if I used it through the computer well that another nightmare waiting to eat up considerable amounts of your life its as unstable as a 3 legged donkey nothing works as intended can’t integrate anything into my daw tried other daws same story I spent a month trying to get the equipment and software to work and created nothing in that time the first day I gave up using it I recorded a brand new song and felt so inspired by not using the NI products absolutely the most counterproductive investment in my whole life making music which is over 30 years and I’ve never ever encountered such feeble hardware/software
