Annelise from New Caledonia organised my 9 day trip to New Caledonia which included a 5 day French language immersion program with CREIPAC. Jeremie of New Caledonia voyages organised my two weeks in Noumea with my wife and my enrollment at the French School (CREIPAC). His planning was delayed twice by the riots in New Caledonia and the classes being postponed. Despite these out-of-the-ordinary setbacks Jeremie organised everything superbly and I could not fault the travel arrangements, the hotel (Chateau Royal) and the French School. We had a lovely vacation in New Caledonia and isle of Pine in October celebrating our 25th anniversary. Jeremie and the New Caledonia Voyages team had everything planned according to our requests and gave us plenty of material to inform us about what we could do and enjoy in our trip. Things were cruising along and we enjoyed one beautiful day after another until the last day.

A tropical storm named Lola affected air travel from the small Isle of Pines to the main island and we were stuck for another day. Jeremie took charge straight away and helped us along the way to secure another day’s stay in our hotel, Le Meridien, and when the situation repeated next day, he was there to help us again. Of course he was back-pedaling in the office to also change our international flights back to Sydney, and rebook our taxi transfer and last night’s stay in Noumea, twice. Finally we were able to secure boat transfers to Noumea on the third day and we arrived late night to our destination. Jeremie had transfers and accomodation sorted. We ended up spending one third extra from our budgeted plan and our peaceful trip was transformed into an adventure.

We arrived safely back to Sydney in the end having quite a few experiences added to the voyage. Of course we started to arrange all our extra expenses by type in order to claim the incidentals incurred from our comprehensive travel insurance package and Jeremie, once again, had written a very professional letter detailing the reasons for the extras to help along with our claim. We ended up getting back all of the claimed extras, less the excess of course.

We did enjoy our trip very much and the destination was extraordinary! We felt this was a place that needs to be revisited again and again to get more out of what it has to offer. The local were very courteous and accomodating and the air of French culture made us feel like this was a place we could see ourselves live in permanently. We would highly recommend Noumea as a city to experience and the Isle of Pines as a destination to be one with nature and water. The pine forests and the beaches were always inviting and the natural pool was the highlight of our journey. We felt like we were swimming in an enormous aquarium full with exotic tropical fish and corals.

However, none of this would have mattered if Jeremie was not there in the background, having our backs and protecting us like a guardian angel. He is a professional in his line of work and a true ambassador for New Caledonia and the values of hospitality.

We are so glad we chose New Caledonia Voyages to book our trip and we are going to use them again for our next trip to Tahiti and Bora-Bora. I cannot recommend this agency highly enough and particularly Jeremie for all his help and knowledge in getting us through a sticky situation.

Thanks to Jeremie at New Caledonia Voyages we had a great holiday in New Caledonia. He proposed the best holiday for us and worked through all the details with us and made sure we understood the package. The Isle of Pines was a paradise and I look forward to returning there.

We contacted New Caledonia Voyages asking for a quote for a week’s stay including the overwater bungalows at Hilton Double Tree on Ilot Maître. My wife and I were celebrating her 60th birthday. Within 24hrs we had a response from Jeremie who provided a suggested itinerary and cost. It looked very suitable to us so we agreed.
Jeremie then forwarded us all the documentation needed. And at the last moment, when one flight was cancelled, he immediately organised a replacement flight and provided updated docs.
In terms of the organisation that New Caledonia Voyages arranged for us, everything went perfectly. The flights, the transfers, the accommodation were all booked and everyone was expecting us when we arrived. Transfers especially were great and we didn’t have to worry about anything. There was always someone to meet us when we expected, and the staff at hotels, ferry etc all seemed to know when we were coming and leaving. I’m a real worrier normally but I didn’t need to be.
The holiday itself was great.
Hilton Noumea is located near many nice eateries and we enjoyed our stay there.
Hilton Double Tree on Ilot Maître was fantastic. Really a dream come true. The overwater bungalows looking down through crystal clear water at massive amounts of sea life: huge fish, colourful fish, sea turtles, banded sea snakes and different corals. There were a few sea eagles on the island which we watched fishing. The resort has many staff. They were all very friendly and helpful and even made good suggestions to us to save some money. We went back into Noumea a few times on the ferry which was so easy, and again friendly. We had some very fine food while we were there.
I tried to refresh some of my school French before we left and I think it really helped. All the staff spoke good English, but just the fact that we tried to speak French I think helped. Also we had a lot of fun with some of the confusion I created by saying completely wrong words and getting corrected. Of course anything serious we could clarify in English if needed.
Overall we could not be more satisfied with New Caledonia Voyages. As they say, our experience exceeded all our expectations.
Also the price was good I think, and we are not wealthy.
Lastly I would advise anyone travelling to New Caledonia that the prices in general are about 30% higher than in Australia at this time. And that is in the supermarkets etc, so do prepare enough spending money for restaurants, souvenirs etc

Great suggestions re how long to spend in each place and in what order. All bookings and transfers worked without a hitch. Could not recommend more highly. Especially loved Isle de Pines, the snorkelling was just so amazing and easy.

We had a truly wonderful holiday in New Caledonia. All reservations Jeremie made for us worked out well, no hick-ups whatsoever, everything went smoothly which we really appreciated (after the initial disaster with our Qantas flight).

The whole itinerary Jeremie prepared for us was fantastic with plenty of time to explore all the different areas on Grande Terre and the Loyalty Islands without rushing. So many great memories with the glorious snorkeling trip to the South Pleiades in Ouvea as the absolute highlight of our holiday.

Thanks again for the excellent work in putting our whole trip together, we could never have done this on our own without the benefit of your contacts and experience.

Just a final word of caution, New Caledonia is expensive! Probably 30% more so than Australia. Also, most of the resorts we visited are old and in need of maintenance, quite a challenge post-Covid. Just put on rose colored glasses and enjoy the whole experience without being too critical about the little things.

We had a trip to New Caledonia in November 2022. All flights, transfers, and activities were organized very well. We received all step-by-step instructions from New Caledonia Voyages (special thanks to Jeremie!). That trip was so amazing that we are looking for another trip to Noumea this year as well. We stayed at Noumea and Ilot Matre - both were perfect! Hopefully, Jeremie (now he is our adviser!) will find an option for 2023 as well. My advice - you need to see this amazing place, that is very stylish and relaxing.

My wife and I were in New Caledonia end of Feb early March we had the best time and will definitely be going back the most relaxing holiday we have had Jeremiah at the NC voyagers was wonderful nothing was to much made our stay so much better will be going though him again .we would like to thank you all for a fabulous time .

We recently went on the best of the Loyalty Islands tour and it was amazing - a really well-paced tour which gave us time to explore each of the islands. My Noumea trip was exactly what I was looking for - a French immersion experience including lessons and a homestay to ensure I was always using the language. My host family offered so much more than what I was expecting and their friendship is something I will trasure forever !
