Messini Beach Club has a lot going for it: excellent food, great activities, beautiful gardens, comfortable pool areas and some genuinely outstanding staff. We particularly enjoyed the e-bikes and sailing, and there was a great balance between being active and relaxing. However, the persistent sewage smell, tired-looking areas, bathroom layout and lack of privacy, limited access to the local area, and particularly the lack of communication around our late check-out meant that the experience wasn’t quite as polished as we had expected. Importantly, our experience at Messini hasn’t put us off Neilson as a holiday company. Everyone in our party would happily book another Neilson holiday, as we really value the active holiday experience and the range of activities they offer. However, based on our experience at Messini Beach Club, we wouldn’t choose to return to this particular resort.

Fantastic sports facilities with so many great options. The instructors are excellent and really friendly - they make activities great fun. The accommodation and food is good. And transfer times are short. A fantastic holiday and our second trip to Messini.

Good resort with lots of facilities and friendly staff. shares amenities with the Buca hotel next doo so can seem very big in terms of guests ( and staff ) went in a peak week which was a bit overwhelming for me.

Great staff and great atmosphere. Brilliant facilities and great food. As a single parent with my daughter, the kids club was a key reason for returning to Neilsons and Gina and Charlie who were in charge of the surf squad were brilliant, my daughter had a blast so massive thanks to those guys! On the beach, Izzy and Ell who helped get me back in a dinghy were also fab. On a slightly negative note, our room had a bit of an ant problem (they seemed to be getting in around the sliding door frame) and despite a couple of reports to reception and a couple of attempts to rectify it with silicone, the problem persisted throughout our stay. If not for that you would have got a 5 star review!

A few basic things would improve the place. Black out curtains !! It’s bright sunlight in your eyes from 5am. The beach is disappointing. Other than that - the teens love it and the food is good. People are friendly and fun atmosphere.

Great resort apart from not enough basic cycle rides mostly aimed at serious cyclists. Conversely exercise classes were not varied enough as too much yoga and not enough for those of us who go to classes regularly. Pilates was an example of a class which was aimed at someone who has never exercised. The manger Toby is brilliant and all the team but timetable needs to be looked at as it’s not balanced. There is a great choice for med to good tennis players but not the same for exercise classes.

The Neilson holiday to Messini Beach Club was simply fantastic! The resort was beautifully kempt, extremely clean and tidy and very well cared for. The facilities were amazing - the outdoor platform for yoga and pilates, the air conditioned studio for the fitness classes, the pickleball courts and the facilities at the beach were brilliant. The staff were helpful, friendly and very good at their jobs. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Great selection of activities, with mostly excellent equipment. Some of the pickle ball bat handles were unravelling. The kids clubs and entertainment was excellent, as was the food. Garden rooms were spacious and well equipped. All the staff were fantastic and really made the holiday special.

Our first time with you & we had a fantastic holiday, everything about it was good…..our accommodation, the activities & the food even the recommended restaurants for the nights off were great. And especially the staff everyone was so friendly & helpful. However my only disappointment was the cat situation in the restaurant……we love animals & I know they didn’t go into the food area itself but they were extremely annoying even jumping up begging for food, getting under our feet & generally being a nuisance. Some holidaymakers were feeding them & using the water tray for food & drink, very unhygienic !! The waiters weren’t always aware & are these trays are they put in the dishwasher ? probably not so I’m afraid our whole group were not impressed by this.

Fantastic holiday June 2026 - 2 Adults and 2 x 18 year olds. Beautiful resort and lots of activities for all. Excellent food, staff and service . The resort is a little remote.
