Recently bought a 5080 GPU on launch day and had my package stolen at a UPS store. Luckily I made a post about it on r/Newegg and almost immediately u/Newegg_Support helped me out and got me situated almost immediately :) Now 2 weeks later I've managed to secure another card and the reddit account has been helping me throughout the whole process and I can't thank them enough!!! Best customer support I've ever received and the person that helped me should get a promotion. Straight up turned a worst case scenario into the best case and I can't be any more happy about it. I bought H&R Block Tax Software Deluxe + State 2024 PC/Mac [Download]. Despite Newegg’s dismal reviews on Trustpilot I felt comfortable buying a download from Newegg. I got a $7.50 discount with my order and with tax, it came to $24.01, $13 cheaper than a major online retailer. I got the download link 8 minutes after I made the order. The product key worked fine and I was able to download and register the software. Newegg was one of the sellers listed as an answer to the question of where I purchased the software. While I would hestitate to buy a physical product from Newegg, I wouldn’t hesitate buying H&R Block Tax Software Deluxe + State 2024 PC/Mac [Download] from Newegg again next year.

Can't handle a tech launch what a suprise
You'd think that by this generation of GPUs that newegg would be able to handle a product launch. Had four different 5080s in my cart and because of newegg's technical incompetence none of them made it past the check out phase. Even when I was ready to go, having had my banking and address info on my account prior to the launch, newegg still asked me to confirm them by typing them out again. That 20 seconds prevented yet another sale due to selling out.
Newegg can screw itself. They are simply incapable of doing the bare minimum of a tech-oriented store which is to have a somewhat functional store.

Sellers are thieves, even though they have the package they make excuses to not refund, thank God I have USAA and paypal should be refunding either way.

CPU Defective - Minimal Help
I ordered a CPU from Newegg which turned out to be defective. Upon requesting a refund and a reimbursement for the PC troubleshoot that I was forced to conduct to learn that it was defective I was told that I would only be reimbursed for half the amount of the troubleshooting service and that they could not provide an international return label or reimburse me for the cost of purchasing an international return label.

They are slow to respond. Their customer service is terrible. They ship slowly. There is no reason to use newegg anymore. They didn't ship my package for a week then they lost it. Now the only solution from them is to buy another one while they spend 2 weeks on a claim about my first order. And I have $700 in limbo while they investigate and refund.

After a couple hours on the phone, I was able to get ahold of a manager who was able to replace the items quickly. She was professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. Thank you Anabel. Bumping this up to 3 stars.

I bought a desktop labeled as open box and they sent me a very used refurbished desktop. The manufacturer confirmed they weren't even the original seller. They refused to refund. Im going to try and take them to small claims to recover some of the money, BEWARE this scam company. Newegg that we use to love was bought out by a new company that is very shady.
Beware illegal bait and switch tactics…
Beware illegal bait and switch tactics on NewEgg.com! I purchased a laptop clearly labeled as coming with Windows 11 Pro but was shipped a laptop with Windows 11 Home. These are two completely different products and I was sent the much cheaper option although paying for the more expensive one. Being a computer professional I understand how they are probably getting away with this scam as most home users would simply not notice. However, when attempting to install a Home version in a business environment you are not only violating Microsoft licensing but it simply will not work as Home does not have the networking features to join into a work domain.
Attempts to make it right resulted in being pawned off to their reseller partner who subsequently provided not one but two bogus windows 11 pro keys. This did nothing more than waste another 4 hours of our time...
I also reported them to the FTC for the clear cut case of violating the FTC Act.
Timely resolution of issues
Customer service was pretty good and helped me out with problems during the purchase. But hopefully next time it will be a smoother transaction and will be more enjoyable.

The agent did a great job swiftly rectifying my issue. The issue itself is annoying and idk why it had to happen, but at the end of the day it wasn't that big of a deal given the resolution.
Stellar customer support on a shipping issue
I was having some issues with shipping and reaching out to customer support I went back and forth on what solution would work best for me. Fortunately, my customer support representative was Vince, who patiently waited through all the times I changed my mind and even came up with creative solutions like offering my free expedited shipping on a new purchase while refunding my old one. I was very grateful for his professionalism and helpfulness, and it definitely makes me likely to return to Newegg again and again.

Vince D was able to work through the inadequacies of the system to accomplish what should have been a simple task not requiring customer service intervention.

Ordered laptop battery. Vendor sent wrong battery. Vendor unable io issue RMA label. NewEgg issued RMA label. Vendor had moved and UPS was unable to deliver. Clive D at NewEgg made it right with a refund and another vendor who could provide the correct product.
Delayed delivery with a good ending!
Paid for expedited delivery and it got delayed. Customer service was quick and responsive and refunded the shipping cost. Awesome customer service. Shoutout to Doreen for helping me out!
