They are so useless they border on comical.

They are so useless, clueless, rude, arrogant, incompetent, bunch of people I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with and I have worked with many many Estate Agents in my business. They are so bad they are like a Monty Python skit. Use them if you want a good laugh or avoid them if you are a serious purchaser of property.

Terrible!

The (male) agent who called me back was one of the rudest and most patronising people, I have ever had the misfortunate to deal with.

You could have the best property and I would not buy it from this agent. There is a reason why this agent attracts bad reviews.

I will update this with more details and proof, immediate when I will find bit time to write a properly review.
I have got a property in bad condition, awfull one, after that everything started to broke down one by one. Newman always delay any repair, also 2 months for simple curtain rail as example. We are not allowed to call nobody who is not aprooved by Newman si we must live in this poor conditions till they decide to come. Usually they not answer the phone, sms or emails, or answer very late and not provide a date or time when the problem will be sorted. In this time you must chase them, if not, they not bother. They are never helpful and they answer very late or avoid to answer clearly and specific, they are tricky as well. In this moment I have water on my floor and on the wall, a broken sink, broken radiator and broken boiler, We are freezing and got ill and newman not consider this is an urgency for what they must come urgent. They delay as usually and we are living in inappropriate condition passing with our foots in the water, putting our towels and street clothes on the floor to absorb the water. The wall started to get damaged. The neighbour probably soon will come to complain about water damaging her ceiling. Course this is not an urgent matter for newman and they not feel like they must come in the same day or next day,at least the water to nit come in the floor amd în the wall, they just wait for that plumber to make time,maybe after more than 2 months will make time for us. I strongly suggest you to run away when you hear newman and never collaborate with them if you want to not deeply regret later.

This estate agent is one the most…

This estate agent is one the most incompetent companies I've had the misfortune to come across , firstly I wanted to view a house they have on the market & after listening to the person on the phone saying they had nobody to show me round for a week I asked if they were actually interested in selling the property ? eventually they got the seller to show me round. Since making an offer on the property they have lost my personal information , said they would take the property off the market , which they haven't.I could go on & on ......... If you are selling a property use another company that is bothered ! If you see a house you like & see Newman as the agent , knock the door & say you want to buy it but not through Newman.

Matt O'dell

Matt O'dell, from Newmans is an excellent Estate Agent and even more a great guy, you can't go far wrong, if you choose him to assist with your requirements

I started my journey to sell my house with some trepidation, having only bought before and not sold, i contacted various agents, but i wanted someone who would be patient and cooperative and Matt from the very first initial meeting, understood what we needed

Matt O'dell always goes the extra mile with help, guidance, replies to messages quickly, even when technically off shift, i can't stress enough how efficient, punctual, easy to speak to and in tune with customer service Matt is

Matt did successfully sell my house, but with some post sale hiccups, i was unable to complete, upon this conclusion, Matt
at no point showed any frustration, continuing to demonstrate grace and understanding at all times

We wouldn't hesitate to use Matt again in the future, and strongly recommend him if you are looking for an Agent who is forward thinking, proactive and offering a unique bespoke personal service

Poor customer service.

Recently rented an apartment through Newman that I lived in for just over one year.

The apartment itself was perfect with no issues, however the customer service and professionalism I recieved from Newman was nothing less than poor.

The impression I got was that they were quick enough to ask me for the deposit money and show me around any apartment I was interested in, however when trying to vacate the property I was passed around between departments over the phone and messed around for weeks before being given my deposit back.

Even after weeks of phone calls and emails I still had to chase my own money and was given the wrong information; I still do not have my deposit back. Overall, my experience of customer service was very poor and well below the standard I would expect from an estate agents. I would recommend going through a different agent to save the hassle if possible.

Completely worthless agency

Completely worthless agency! Lots of issues during my renting period with this agency. Didn't manage to do a proper check in but when I left the property they manage to do a proper check out and ask me a lot of money because it was in the original state! They didn't read the contract and it was never mentioned the property was in the very good state - actually it was not and we had taken pictures to prove this. This agency is just managing to take your money and we ask for solving the problem they are very rude and never been helpful. One episode was hilarious when they lost the cheque and they ask us to contact the bank. They promise us £50 compensation and obviously we've never seen the money, even if we asked lots of time to have this back!
Well, to avoid as much as you can - or take a lot of pictures and never trust them!
