On March 27th - Sold car to Nissan of Sacramento - 6 weeks, still owed $20,726.67

On March 27th, 2021 Nissan of Sacramento purchased my 2019 Toyota Avalon XLS, VIN: 4T1BZ1FB3KU015631, for a price of $24,700. Nissan of Sacramento paid off the existing lien with Golden1 for $3,973.33 leaving a balance of $20,726.67. To date, after six weeks (on Saturday May8th), I have not been paid the balance no matter how many times I contact them.

Well maintained... Broke down at 65K

I bought my 2016 Nissan Sentra brand new on August 2016. Since purchase, it had a lot of quality issues. Currently what's plaguing it is electrical wiring issues... What a sham. I'm still paying for the car and warranty is 5K out, and it breaks down. The car was such a hazard that the engine just shut off while driving. Then nothing worked. All the modules such as power steering, lights, brakes, ABS, etc. stopped working. I really don't need this in my life to spend more on something that shoulden't be having issues. Like I said, my car is pretty well maintained.

From when I first bought this car, this car always had airbags issue. It was recalled quite a few times, which I doubt anyone even worked on this car. Whenever I have passengers, the "airbag off" light is still on, assuming if I were to crash my passenger would be a bye-bye. I don't even believe my airbags would work. This is how little confidence I have in this lemon..

Honesty is NOT their best policy.

Honestly, if I could rate this with zero stars, I would. I have purchased 2 brand new Nissans, neither one lasting more that 40k miles with their CVT transmissions. Brought the car to multiple dealerships between 2 and 4 years of owning the cars. I expressed my concerns with the safety of the vehicle. Nissan only cares about your money, not the safety of an unsuspecting driver. The car will progressively get worse as times goes on and they will deny the fact that their scanner "throws any transmission codes." What's funny is that any other non-nissan mechanic would quickly diagnose the vehicle with a transmission problem. Prepare to be going 65+ on the highway when your vehicle suddenly dies and you are left with an ever-lasting car payment, ONTOP of paying for a "REFURBISHED" transmission, as Nissan will put off any safety concern of yours until it is JUST out of warranty. Please do not make the same mistake I did, take your money and your family's safety and go ANYWHERE ELSE. Do your research diligently, as you will find MANY lawsuits regarding these transmissions under Nissan. Do not fall for their untrustworthy scams, they do NOT honor their word, their motto, or any of the crap they use to sell you these LEMONS. Sadly, you will be faced with a higher up who sits at a desk all day, definitely DOESN'T drive a Nissan, and could give a crap less about your argument, your financial situation, or your safety, so long as he/she is getting paid to screw you.

COVID-19.....Deferred Payment Scam

COVID-19...... I don’t have to say nothing more.
I just finished calling Nissan asking to defer my current lease payment and extend my lease at the end by the month or two of the extension. They said NO, THEY DON’T DO THAT. They are helping their customers by deferring their payments, their customers will not be paying late fees, but at the end of your lease, you will have balance to pay in full for the missed months. So, at the time of your lease maturity date your payment will be double or triple from the regular monthly payment!!! And that’s what they call help.!?!!!?? SICK
Other companies do extend for their current customers lease maturity date, but NOT NISSAN! I will NEVER EVER lease/buy any NISSAN PRODUCT. I will definitely tell everyone how they treat their CURRENT CUSTOMERS, because they only care how to trap a new customer into their new deals (check their pitch offer on NISSANUSA.COM). They are not helping people during these hard times and DEFINITELY they are NOT working with their customers!

I bought a 2012 Nissan Quest Oct

I bought a 2012 Nissan Quest Oct. 31, 2012. Had it for 5yrs until the accident. Praise God it was a tough enough Vehicle. My daughter walked away from the accident. Van was totaled. My daughter is alive. I experienced good Customer Service when I went there. Just bought a 2019 Rogue on Jan. 2,2020. Right now the MainThing I’m really disappointed with my new vehicle is that the front Power driver seat does not tilt upward. This really takes away from having a more comfortable driving experience especially on a long trip. Why Nissan decided not to include this seating option is beyond my understanding. I did not realize this until after I purchased this Vehicle. If I had known it was gonna take away from experiencing a more Comfortable ride, I might have bought something different. And I would have being led to maybe even purchase and pay extra for the Honda CRV. What’s done is done now. Really not happy about not having that tilt option for the power seat. Other than that not a bad SUV.

Nissan Never Again

Nissan Sentra 2015 with 76K.
Batch of Nissans with CVT transmission problems.
After reading all the issues with A LOT of Nissan cars, found out that Nissan has lawsuits regarding this problem.
Went to the dealer to get the car checked and was told that the transmission needs to be replaced and the cost is $3,900, so I told the person in charge, about the extended warranty I had read about on the internet and he told that my car is not under warranty.
My car has 76K and supposedly Nissan extended the warranty to 120K miles or 10 years for this issue.
He said you're going to have to talk to your lawyer.

Bought a new 2018 Frontier and with…

Bought a new 2018 Frontier and with less than 10000 miles the paint started chipping off. The original dealership did not do anything when I pointed it out. I had stopped at another dealership closer to home for warranty work(a leaking rear seal at a little over 30000 miles), pointed out the paint chipping and was then told of a paint test. Of course Nissan wrote off as rock chips. Not sure how you get rock chips on the sides and back. More especially when Nissans own paint test pulled paint off! Will NEVER buy again or recommend Nissan!

Another Nissan CVT Lemon....

Who makes a $40,000 car that will only travel 100,000 miles before major service ($5000) is required? Nissan, that's who.
I inherited a 2012 Murano with 55,000. Took it in for complete service of everything so I would know I was starting fresh. Now another 55,000 miles later the CVT (continuously variable transmission) has failed. To my surprise this happens a lot (search nissanmurano dot org/threads/failed-cvt.2002) to see that more than half fail between 100k and 120k. Needless to say I will never buy a car again with a limited life built into the vehicle. And that means I will never buy another Nissan. It's back to Honda, which carried me well over 200k before I gave it to a friend for another 150k (351k) with no transmission issues.

Unscrupulous Company!

Nissan is an unscrupulous company that makes shoddy vehicles and passes on the costs of their mistakes to the consumer. I would strongly advise against ever buying a Nissan, used or pre-owned. Even if you are considering a model that does not have a CVT transmission as described below, Nissan clearly does not take responsibility for their poor workmanship which leaves any Nissan customer vulnerable.
I own a 2013 Pathfinder Platinum (review written in 2019). Despite keeping up with all recommended maintenance, the transmission of this vehicle failed in 2017 at only 80,000 miles. Fortunately it was still covered under an extended warranty, and Nissan installed a new transmission. The transmission has just failed a second time, only 2.5 years and 60,000 miles after the first. Absolutely outrageous. Nissan refuses to offer any restitution for the failure of a nearly-new transmission that they installed 2 years ago. This is a known issue, and thousands of consumers around the country are having problems with the CVT transmissions in the 2013-2014 Pathfinders (including frequent failures at around 70,000 miles). In fact, Nissan settled a law suit stating that it knowingly put faulty transmissions in these vehicles. Yet they still try to suggest that there is no problem with these vehicles and that it is just ‘too bad’ for the customer that they wind up with a $5K repair. Shame on Nissan.

Sales/service, Cool Springs in Franklin, TN

Sales at Nissan of Cool Springs in Franklin is concerned 85% with bilking all it can from it’s customers. At least one sales person lied to me making false promises; when I had signed the papers and proceeded to drive home, I discovered that the car was not equipped as described. When I brought it back, he told me that the equipment I described was available only on costlier models.

His cynicism was shocking.

And the sales manager stood behind him.

I fear that this is good new to you, because yours is a typical too-big-to-exist corporation obsessed solely with more profits and more tens of millions in compensation that in a just society would be felony larceny.

Until now, however, I did have confidence in the Cool Springs service department. The technicians are excellent—to the best of the knowledge of a person like me, so bereft of the expertise possessed by those technicians.

But the ICC sensor has been a problem. It has been replaced once, and now it must be replaced anew.

I was called and informed that the part had been ordered and received at the dealership, but I could not come in because I was due for surgery.

Now recovering from that surgery, I was told that no appointment can be made until next Thursday—a week for now.

I am still on medical leave and I can take the car in today. Even tomorrow, a Saturday, or Monday.

The next available Saturday is not until November!

Am I a customer or a serf requesting a favor of a noble in the castle?

I have owned a 2018 Titan Platinum for…9 mos

I have owned a 2018 Titan Platinum for a number of months. Since 400 miles I have complained about the transmission. It jumps into too high of a gear and then "chugs" because it needs more power. It fails to downshift like all other multi speed transmissions ( Ram 8 speed etc). The factory expert agreed with the issue but said there was no fix. He stated that the engineers could be working on one but they never told him anything. The truck also starts out often in some gear other than 1st, like maybe 3rd. This is a safety hazard if you are pulling into fast moving traffic. Also the Nav is a total joke. It doesn't show street names....hmm. The radio has dozens of presets but they don't show you what channel is saved to a preset. If you let the truck idle very long in hot weather, the AC quits. Don't park and leave your parking lights on for safety, the truck is so smart it turns them off. And for only $58000 you too can enjoy a truck like this. Oh..the heated steering wheel doesn't heat. And Nissan will do nothing. They give the dealers no tools with which to resolve these problems. It is not the dealers fault they can't fix the truck, IT IS ALL ON NISSAN. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS POLITE BUT WORTHLESS.

Nissan Titan SE king cab

I own a 2005 Nissan Titan SE king cab. The truck had a recall on the towing harness in 2006 for it catching on fire. I purchased my truck in 2016 and about a month ago while I was at the gas station the "fixed recall" part caught on fire again, AT THE GAS PUMP!!! I contacted Nissan USA to see if they would fix it as it was a recalled part and they told me that part was fixed in 2006, I told her obviously not. So now I have to shell out $2500 to fix a recall fix and all Nissan could say was, "we are not covering your part." Thanks Nissan for selling and not fixing your junk fire hazard truck! I'LL NEVER BUY OR RECOMMEND YOUR VEHICLES AGAIN!!! Buy a Ford, Chevy, or Dodge and save yourself some money and headaches!

2015 Nissan Murano

I purchased a 2015 Nissan Murano June 2015 because my family and I love the new body design, over all performance in nice and I wish I did not have to send a bad review. My problem is with the tires installed on this vehicle by Continental Tire, I first started noticing the problem around 25k miles; I noticed cracks and pieces of rubber are coming off tires. at 26,000 I contact Nissan customer service and continental tire with no success. This experience is leaving a bad taste of customer satisfaction by Nissan USA for next time I decide to buy another new vehicle. I do not think is fair that buying a $40k vehicle should need new tires before the 50 to 60k miles. I took my vehicle in to Mossy Nissan in Houston the dealership I purchased from, and I been told that Nissan denied any warranty on tires. I am in the auto service industry and I know the importance of maintaining once vehicle so I rotate the tires twice year. When I first notice the problem I check the alignment thanking that it may be alignment issue but was not the case; in fact my front end tech explained that a new vehicle should not need a alignment unless it had been on an accident or in abused driving. Our family's vehicle is used for pleasure weekend driving, and week wife works 5 minutes from home; so must of regular city driving about 7,500 miles per year, other highway miles 3 to 4 trips to the Valley in the last 3 years.
