Honestly these guys feel like cowboys. They constantly suggested they might put fake charges on my account for fake damage, and that they were "letting me off", while in addition having absurdly large... See more

Please Please Avoid....horrible company
Like many of the other reviewers on here we were ripped off by Nizacars for damage we never caused. The car was covered in scratches and nicks when we picked it up. The car was parked up for the whole time and when we returned it we were ripped off for €300 because they said the scratches were bigger!!
Horrible attitude and replies from them. Said it shouldn't be a problem as most people have excess insurance, so it's easy to see where they are trying to scam and just make money from these poor excess insurance companies....and those who don't have it.
AVOID
We rented a beautiful VW T Cross car…
We rented a beautiful VW T Cross car and the service, efficient and helpful staff was very impressive. Shock to read other horror stories. We took the full insurance, on returning the car I mentioned how impressed I was with the car provided and asked the staff to check the car over and see I had returned the fuel full and the staff said "You had full insurance, we don't need check anything". Our experience was very impressive and I will use again soon.
Just following up my post of a week…
Just following up my post of a week ago. We corresponded with Niza Cars a few times but they still went ahead and "as a gesture of good will" only(!) took £435 from our deposit. We have excess insurance so we will recover this and not be out of pocket but it's the principle that Niza cars probably knows this and is exploiting this. Do not use!
Zero stars if possible
I would not recommend this car rental. We waited in total 55 minutes to be picked up by the shufflebus. After 30 minutes I called the office and told them how long we have been waiting and they let us know that it would only be 10 more minutes. We waited for 10 minutes and no one had shown up to pick us up so I called again, and the office said it would be another 15 minutes. Then they finally showed up, 55 minutes later. On the web page it said that the shufflebus would turn up every 10-15 minutes. It took only 5 minutes to the office so I don’t understand what took them so long. When we asked for a compensation, like a bigger/better car, they told us they couldn’t give us that but recommended us to write a complain in an email. After this they talked about us in Spanish, which we understood, and they were pretty rude. Seemed like they didn’t have much to do this day so I don’t understand why they didn’t show us some respect and give us good service? Anyways, I will not recommend this car rental to anyone, and I will not book a car here in the future.
Zero star if possible
Zero star if possible. Like others say rubbish report of existing damage, can’t see anything in the photos, the car was so damaged and marked on every panel, you would need 24 hrs to photograph everything. It’s a big scam they charged €300 for a scratch UNDER the bumper and a 20mm scratch on the inside of the door frame ! Avoid like the plague
Horrible experience !!!
The only enjoyable part of the experience was having the car; everything else turned into a nightmare, from the airport pickup to returning the vehicle. What's particularly concerning is that this car rental company seems to operate in bad faith by unfairly charging customers for damages they didn't actually cause.
To make matters worse, they don't conduct a thorough inspection of the car with you. Instead, they expect you to meticulously examine the vehicle and photograph any imperfections yourself. As many have pointed out, failing to capture these imperfections in clear photos can result in unjust charges for damages caused by previous drivers. Despite my efforts to document every flaw, including the one they billed me a staggering 425€ for, they dismissed my photographic evidence, claiming that the scratch appeared larger in reality, all based on a low-light iPhone picture taken at night.
Additionally, be cautious about their long-hour charges, such as the 40€ fee if you happen to arrive at 10 PM. This entire experience raises serious concerns about the company's integrity and their questionable practices regarding damage claims.
Never this car company again. Better pay more at a well known international one than this.
absolute awful customer service
absolute awful customer service!
i was late to collect the car which was just after 10pm due to me following their instructions to wait at the terminal where a shuttle will pick me up- i then had to call them and then wait to be collected which resulted in being late and getting a 40 euro fine!!!!
there are much more friendlier car hires in the area so please be careful if you choose these.
AVOID AVOID AVOID absolute scam.
AVOID AVOID AVOID absolute scam.. hired a car for 2 days for our family to go to Marbella. We drove the car to the apartment and parked the car in a secure underground garage and didn’t drive it due to eve being on our doorstep so no need it was just a transfer to and from the airport. We didn’t pay for the ‘extra’ insurance as it’s covered with the standard insurance cover for damages. We took a video of the car before we set off and we noted all of the damages from previous users.. when we returned the car the rude, aggressive woman observed the car and immediately said there is new damage to the underside of the front bumper and that the manager had to have a look but wasn’t there until 10am (our flight being 11:15am) we wasn’t able to wait to dispute the damage that was there when we took the car as shown in the video we took.. they provided blurry images of the car from 5 months previous and said this is the damages pointed out before you took the car.. we pointed out the damages before taking the car and they said don’t worry you have a video! They are ABSOLUTE CON MERCHANTS PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM I am more than happy for anyone to message me to verify this but please you will be SCAMMED if you don’t take the extra insurance / commission!!
Nizacars Car Rental, Barcelona – Not So Nice A To Me
Things didn’t start well when the Nizacars courtesy minibus was not waiting to collect me outside of the terminal, as was stated on my rental voucher. I had previously Emailed my flight arrival time to Do You Spain / Carjet. After waiting for 40 minutes I decided to phone Nizacars, although it wasn’t clear on the voucher which number to use. The man who answered was rather offish with me when I told him that I was waiting outside of the terminal. After waiting an hour in total the courtesy minibus finally arrived.
At the office, the staff member who dealt with me was quite pleasant and efficient. The car I was allocated, although had some previous minor damage was fairly new and clean.
When I returned the car the same staff member alerted me to some minor damage to one of the front wheels. I can honestly say that I was completely unaware of this. When I went with her to inspect it she agreed with me that it was really nothing however she told me that she would have speak to her boss, the next day.
The first thing I knew about being charged was when I received my credit card statement over a week later. My full excess had not been reimbursed. They had charged me 280 Euro. In my opinion this was totally excessive for such a small scrape.
I never received any proof that the repair had actually been carried out and that the car had to be off of the road for 2 days, as was stated by them on their final invoice.
They did not automatically send me the full documentation I needed to claim on my insurance and I had to Email Do You Spain / Carjet several times before I received it.
In addition to the above I was dropped off at the wrong terminal and had to walk 5 minutes with my case, which was quite heavy.
Unfortunately, as a result of the harsh way I was treated I don’t think I will being using Nizacars again.
I would advise anyone using them to, on collection to take an EXTREMELY DETAILED video of the vehicle before leaving the car park.
Be careful when renting for longer than 7 days as you might lose part of your deposit
I rented a car from NizaCars in Malaga, Spain, through DiscoverCars website. It was not a good choice. To start with, we had to wait 1.5 hours in 30 degrees heat for shuttle bus transfer from the airport - there was only one small shuttle bus operating and a lot of people waiting. At least the driver was nice. Once arrived, and after waiting another 20 minutes in a queue, we were met by a team of unpleasant and unwelcoming, if not rude, staff. I had bought the full insurance from DiscoverCars and wasn't interested in purchasing another one from NizaCars. They were trying to sell it to me in an agressive way, threatening almost, saying how I'd need to call the police to report the tiniest scratch if I wanted to get the money back from the broker (which is definetely not true, as I have had a very positive experience with DiscoverCars in the past where there was damage to the car and no police reports were necessary).
Upon returning the car, the car was inspected by a very nice guy (him and the two shuttle bus drivers were the only ones smiling and pleasant to speak to - which is why I am giving the second star - otherwise it would only be one!), and that was quick and efficient (because we didn't scratch or damage the car - I am scared to think what would have happened if we had!).
The most important and shocking (to me) was the fact that instead of HOLDING the deposit (1800 Euro = £1607.54), they actually CHARGED it to my credit card and when they returned it, because of the exchange rate, I was short of £119.67! When I called them about it, the manager basically said he doesn't care and it's not his problem, as this is what they do if you rent a car for longer than 7 days and it's in their T&C - to protect their business as apparently banks will release the deposit back to the customer after 7 days. Needless to say, they never mentioned it when I was picking the car up.
I have rented cars in the past in various locations across Europe and North America, and it never happened. The deposit on my card was always held, and not charged, and the exact same amount would be back on my account a few days after returning the car.
Overall, I have had better experiences in the past when renting a car!
Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! Scam artists.
These guys are a supplier for another company online, we booked a car, when we got there the car wasn't available, they told us we had to pay extra for another car, was more expensive even though there was lots of cars cheaper ones too but conveniently they were all booked out. rude staff not willing to help just scamming people and people with no choice paying the extra, rather pay a little more and use company such as europa car. avoid these guys at all costs. they will do anything to get more money out of you.
DO NOT USE!
I pre-paid for my car but was asked to leave a deposit of over 2000€ with my credit card! As I rejected to do this, they asked me to pay for 80€ non-refundable (apart from the 162€ I had already paid) and they have also 150€ retained from my credit card!
Another inconvenience is that the place is not at the airport, you need a shuttle to get to there to pick up your car.
I am now trying to send the signed returned car contract by email but their email is full and my email is getting rejected, so I can't close this service and hence won't have the retained money in my credit car back.
Charged €385 for a small (8mm) scratch
The car in gereral was fine but charged €385 for a small scratch, Also tried to say I damaged the bumper but you can clearly see the damage on the video I took before I drove it, so didn't get charged for this in the end.
Wish I could put the picture up as its minor and such a cheap fix.
Never again!
Never again!
This company just steel your money.
On the day of arrival they just charge you extra because we where late. We had an cancelled flight, called them, everything fine, nor problem. We we arrived, no valid booking, must pay 750€ extra, after discussing it was 380€.
Not friendly, never never again. Be aware do not book with them.
Nizacar Malaga operates as a car rental…
Nizacar Malaga operates as a car rental company near the airport, but there have been numerous reports indicating questionable practices. Many reviews highlight a consistent pattern of employing aggressive sales tactics when customers arrive to pick up their rental cars. This often involves pressuring individuals to purchase additional insurance, using fear-inducing language to create discomfort and sway them towards opting for the company's insurance coverage.
I personally put this scenario to the test in May 2023 when I rented a car from Nizacar. Despite having already obtained insurance through a broker website in the UK, I succumbed to their tactics and ended up acquiring their extra insurance. Regrettably, I fell into their trap. Upon my return in July 2023, having learned from my previous experience, I obtained insurance through the car rental company "easyCar," which provided reasonable coverage. I was aware that I needed to leave a deposit of £1800, but I felt secure as I was protected by Axa insurance.
The outcome of my experiment confirmed my suspicions. After returning the car, I received an email just 4 days later with an invoice outlining a deduction of 350 euros for a pre-existing scratch, which was there from the beginning. In essence, it appears that if you decline Nizacar's insurance, they may resort to charging for damages that were already present or even fabricate claims altogether.
When I reached out to Nizacar to address these concerns, They essentially brushed off their tactics by stating since I already had insurance, any issues should be directed towards my insurance provider.
In summary, it seems that Nizacar attempts to exploit situations where customers opt out of their insurance coverage. They resort to charging for damages that were either pre-existing or non-existent, potentially in an effort to generate extra revenue
Avoid this company at all cost
Avoid this company at all cost. They are cheap but then make the money by aggressively trying to sell you insurance. I have an annual excess so didn’t take out their insurance. On returning the car they claimed we had scratched the car which wasn’t visible to the naked eye. We 100% hadn’t damaged the car and asked to see the manager who told us it would be sorted by the damages department on Monday. We initially refused to leave until it was sorted so he then said we couldn’t use the courtesy bus and would have to walk to the airport with luggage in 40 degree heat. We were 2 females and he was very aggressive. Eventually we got the bus but received a €164 bill for a non existent scratch. If you do rent with them make sure you video the entire car. The space you collect the car from is too bright so nothing shows up on the photos. I would not use this company again if they were the only rental company left. They should be shut down. Read all the reviews- it’s standard practise for them.
Fraudulent company
Be careful. Worst experience. Just read all the other reviews
They persuaded us to upgrade our car…
They persuaded us to upgrade our car and buy another extra full insurance. But they only took payment and didn't send us the new documentation as promised. After we returned the car they said we didn't had full insurance and we had to pay for old scratches. They are really unprofessional and cheaters. Be aware
Bad service, hard to reach, fraudulent company.
I rented a car from Nizacars. They didn’t have the car I initially rented which was a Seat Leon, this car was not available so they gave me a Renault Captur (which in my opinion is not a similar car considering the price and luxury) this wasn’t that much of a problem to me as long as the car would have worked. However I got a car with a screw in the tyre from them. The tyre was going flat so I had to return it (which was a 1 hour drive). After that I got another Renault Captur which had a similar problem with the tyres and the pressure. I inflated the tyres twice but they kept on deflating and giving errors.
When I called Nizacars I couldn’t get a hold of them, so I called the broker through whom I booked (DoYouSpain) they were willing to help me and tried calling Nizacars as well (again they did not answer).
When I finally got a hold of Nizacars they simply told me that it is impossible that I tried calling them and they did not answer as she was there all day. They also said that they rented out those cars a lot of times and never experienced those problems before (as if it was my fault).
I spend around 3 hours calling and trying to solve the problems with them. However they were not really willing to help me. Therefore I told them I would like my money back, as this was only costing me my free holiday time. The woman from Nizacars told me she would have to ask her boss this and that he would call me about this today, I still haven’t heard a thing from them.
I feel that as a customer they have not helped me as they should and that their customer service is very poor and unfriendly.
I hope that they will still reach out tot try and resolve this matter. For now at least I am very dissatisfied.
