Where do I even start with this review. I have so many amazing things to share. I am so pleased I chose this one. I have been on bootcamps before and loved but this was fantastic. The bootcamp caters for everyone, whatever your goal, fitness level, age or injuries. They genuinely adapt to you. It is not a one size fits all approach.
Training
The training is tailored to every fitness level. There is no expectation to do every session. The trainers keep checking in with you, ask how you are feeling and adjust as you go. There is no pressure, it is about what is right for you and how your body feels. Sometimes a rest is the best choice and they fully support that. The coastal walks were a real treat, fresh sea air and some proper thinking time.
A massive shout out to Gee, the head trainer. He made the whole experience special. His passion, knowledge, care and attentiveness were obvious from day one and were a huge motivator, as well as the fun side to his personality. Gee, if you ever see this, thank you, your approach was spot on.
Josh and Oz, thank you for keeping us all going and for the support and laughs. I learnt so much from you both. And nine basketball hoops in thirty seconds....let me know if anyone beats that ;)
The Food / Service
The food was an absolute delight. Everything is cooked fresh on site by Matt, the in house chef. Those breakfast hoppers were unreal. Meals are based around your needs and properly tailored. You just sit down and your food appears, an absolute dream. Portion sizes were much bigger than I expected, which was brilliant as I love my food. Electrolytes with every meal kept us hydrated. Matt is also a lovely guy who comes out to chat and share his passion for cooking.
Blaize on reception, who also helps run the place and serves, was a star. She is welcoming and nothing is ever too much trouble. Turning up somewhere new can be nerve racking but as soon as I walked in and we started chatting, my nerves disappeared. There was endless herbal tea as well. It was not a bean to cup coffee but you cannot have everything.
Accommodation / complex
The accommodation and facilities are incredible. The InBody scanner to track all your measurements was so interesting and a great way to see progress. I had brilliant results in just one week. As Gee said, "your results are INSANE."
There is a great outdoor area for circuits with a track where we even saw baby deer, a covered outdoor boxing space with bags and equipment, an indoor studio with cardio machines and optional heart rate screen, an outdoor weights area and even an ice bath.
My room was lovely and spacious, a modern double with shared bathroom and a powerful shower, perfect after a long sweaty day. The living room area was wonderful too. The log fire was lit every evening for our down regulation, stretching and a bit of breathing or meditation. Lying there listening to the fire crackling was the perfect way to end the day.
Knowledge
I learnt so much, even though I already know a fair bit about fitness and nutrition. The talks, education sessions and question and answer time were brilliant. I also had a one to one with Josh which really helped with small, realistic changes I can build into everyday life to support my goals.
Finally, Dee the owner. Dee was always around, keeping everything running smoothly and chatting to us to make sure we were alright. Her passion for the place really shows and she clearly wants everyone to have a brilliant time. You should be so proud of what you have created. I honestly loved it.
I booked No.1 Bootcamp as a birthday gift to myself and a chance to step away from my usual routine and focus on my physical and mental wellbeing. What I expected to be just a short break turned out to be a truly life-changing experience.
Before Bootcamp, I was constantly tired, steadily gaining weight, struggling with overeating, and feeling mentally drained. No.1 Bootcamp gave me the reset I desperately needed. It helped me reconnect with myself, find motivation, and build the foundations for healthier habits that have completely transformed my life.
From the moment I arrived, everyone was welcoming and supportive. But what made this experience so special was the guidance and encouragement from our two personal trainers, Luke Steele. and Ollie Slater. They weren’t just amazing at running the workouts, but they genuinely cared about every individual in the camp. Luke and Ollie took the time to understand us as people, not just participants, and offered encouragement, advice, and support that went far beyond fitness.
Their depth of knowledge in health, fitness, and wellbeing was inspiring, and they explained everything in a way that made sense: this included how the workouts linked to nutrition, how our daily habits impacted our health, and most importantly, how small, consistent changes could lead to a better quality of life. Their support and motivation were second to none, and I truly believe they were the key to making this experience so impactful.
It’s now been just under five months since Bootcamp, and I feel better than I have in years. I’ve replaced old, unhealthy habits with new ones that feel natural and sustainable. I’m happier in both body and mind, and I have a clearer understanding of how to maintain a balanced, active lifestyle.
I couldn’t recommend this experience enough. It truly changed my life and I thank everyone at camp for all their help and support in helping me achieve my goals.

There's honestly no limit to the wonderful things I can say about No1Bootcamp, as someone that loves fitness but has fallen short the last few years due to circumstances & poor nutrition it was really important for me to find the right environment that would set me back on the path to reaching my goals
Unfortunately I signed up to another fitness retreat before I found No1 & I had to leave after 2 days as they had grossly misrepresented their retreat accommodation & fitness offerings online. Feeling dejected I came home & was recommended No1 Bootcamp by a number of people that had attended in the past & had great results & a great experience, so I decided to get in touch & give them a try.
From the moment I arrived at camp I was so thrilled to find exactly what I had been looking for, beautiful accommodation surrounded by nature with the beach a 10 minute walk away. From the moment training began I could tell that the trainers had something different, they aren't your typical PT's they are Ex military & that showed in the extensive knowledge they all had regarding training alongside a very special ability to get the absolute best out of you even when you don't think you can push any more. The workouts were always varied, fun & informative & even though I was at camp for 3 weeks (camp was so great I kept extending my stay) I never did the same workout twice.
All the people that make No1 Bootcamp run smoothly are friendly & approachable & if there was ever an issue raised it was dealt with straight away via warmth & reassurance.
One of my big issues was emotional eating & being at the camp for 3 weeks allowed me to experience how my body reacts to 3 healthy & delicious meals a day whilst learning the important aspects of nutrition through the camps seminars. I was never hungry & always satisfied & the food was absolutely fantastic.
All in all I have found the experience life changing as its rewired me to make better choices & its shown me how strong & powerful I can be, in fact it was so amazing I've booked to go back again in 2 weeks time!
If you are looking for change in a positive, motivating & friendly environment then No1 Bootcamp is definitely the place for you :)

What a great experience to boost your fitness journey and boost your confidence. Whatever the reason you're thinking of going, just do it, you will not regret it one bit!

I arrived at No 1 after a difficult period in my life due to work and family stress, feeling tired, run down and exhausted by life. The two weeks I spend there were the best thing I could have done for myself. I felt a total re-set physically, mentally and emotionally. I left the camp looking a million dollars. But most importantly I learnt healthy habits that I now put in place in my daily life. The trainers were great and encouraging, sessions were varied and exhilarating and the food was delicious and filling. What’s more there was also time on camp to have some headspace, have an amazing massage or to do a mindful walk on your own. No 1 gave me the confidence to believe in myself and my abilities and to think myself healthy again.

The trainers were motivational and informative at the same time, providing options for different abilities for most of the training. It really was 'boot camp' mentality with early rising and strict timings on activities, exactly what I had expected. The food was exceptional, with all dietary requirements catered for, and you were never hungry. The programme does produce results, even if it's to improve fitness or wellbeing, so isn't just about losing those extra lockdown pounds.
What was disappointing was the accommodation. The rooms and shared or ensuite showers are in serious need of work. And the cleaning, especially in the light of Covid-19 should be improved, which would help guests feel more assured. Keys aren't given to guests to allow rooms to be locked, which is concerning, and rooms are not serviced during the week.
So if you are looking for a 'luxury' boot camp experience, this isn't it. But if you can overlook some of the negatives as above and focus on the training, you'll likely enjoy it.
Went as a couple to the Norfolk bootcamp for a week in end of August 2020. Really enjoyed it. We had a great group of people and the week flew by. The trainers are very knowledgable and Elliot is brilliant. Special mention must go out to Toby the chef who is very talented and manages to make healthy food taste superb. You get what you put in. I lost more weight than I thought I would. Winner winner chicken dinner!. Only negative: the weather could of been better.

This was my first ever Bootcamp so I didn’t know what to expect. The entire No.1 Team is so friendly and supportive, Camp Managers Fu and Elliot are wonderful & the Trainers Tom & Tom were so knowledgeable and really encouraged you to push yourself and also to pick you up if you were feeling down. The food is amazing, so full of flavour with the Thai Green curry one of the best I’ve ever had !
I met a wonderful bunch of people, I’ve already booked to come back in October and a few of us that met in July are organising a date in 2021 to do a week together. It was hard work, but also so satisfying to see the results and the effort you put in paying off.
This was my first time at a bootcamp and I was a bit nervous - I thought it might be full of only super fit and super skinny people! I was so wrong, the other guests were amazingly friendly, all shapes and sizes and ages and we all supported and encouraged each other, and everyone is on a different journey so there is no comparing or judging each other at all.
Our trainers (Tom and Tom) were brilliant - no shouting, just kind encouragement and very knowledgeable about training and nutrition. Every class is different so there is no way you can get bored of training. We did several long hikes in the local countryside which I loved, and the morning classes on the seafront were my favourite. The food was brilliant, so tasty and varied, the chef made mealtimes something to really enjoy. Elliott was our camp manager, and he couldn't do enough to make our stay special, despite having to work in a mask which must have been so hard. He was always on hand to answer any questions, or solve any issues. I absolutely loved my stay and would encourage anyone who is thinking of going to take the plunge.....you won't regret it. Oh, and I lost 6llb in a week!!
This was my first bootcamp and I really enjoyed it! The trainers Danny and Tom are very professional and knowledgeable as well as incredibly nice and good fun. The intensity of trainings was hard but manageable and very rewarding. The whole staff were excellent and so friendly. I feel refreshed and more energetic following my stay – thank you! Will definitely come back.
The trainers make are fab and know their stuff - they push, motivate and work with you. Boot camp is probably not the right way to describe the experience because there is no yelling - but more of a positive encouragement. Don't think it is easy, it's not but it is adaptable for everyone - all levels, ages and physical limitations. The food is amazing and plenty and you leave feeling such a wealth of accomplishment and overall just great. Highly recommend. The best programmes I have attended by far.
Just got back from Not 1 Norfolk, I was genuinely sad to leave! I was there for the first week of March and was lucky enough to have Tom and Danny as trainers - they are just amazing! There was every age and ability, it's entirely up to you how hard you push yourself and how much you do. The food was great, I never felt hungry and the house itself is lovely. Couldn't recommend it enough, I will definitely be back!

I have been to No 1 Bootcamp six times (one of those times at the Marrakech camp and the other five times at Norfolk) in a 3 year period.
It is incredible how amazing you feel at the end of a week at Bootcamp. Not only are you fitter and leaner but the sense of achievement is unparalleled! It is no wonder I keep on going back.
I have been on a downward trajectory with my weight for a few years so I use No 1 Bootcamp as a way to get a big change on the scales to help keep my motivation up. I do work out regularly at home though so I am not coming to this fresh.
The food is excellent, the training is brilliant. I've trained with Gee and Tom several times and they are top. Danny is also really good.
You also end up bonding really well with your training group and the lunch & dinner times around the table are my favourite parts of the day.
I honestly have a lot to thank No 1 Bootcamp for: changing my physique and helping me regain my confidence in my body and challenging my fitness levels.

I came from far away to join the bootcamp in Marrakech and I didn’t regret the trip. The food was good, the accommodation choice was nice and the trainers were epic. They are very professional and push everyone to do their best. I went home happy for what I have achieved.

What an absolutely amazing week! My husband and I just spent a week in marrakech and came back looking and feeling our best ever selves. Cannot thank the whole team enough for an incredible training week. Gee and Tom are masters of their craft, tailoring training to suit all abilities and pushing us to achieve the best versions of ourselves. Every day was challenging and fun with great tunes to keep us going. The food was healthy and delicious and kept us on track to achieve our goals. I can not recommend this experience enough. I have done several Bootcamps and this one stands out way ahead of the rest. The accommodation in Marrakech is beautiful and the food was delicious but the real quality is the trainers. They are so knowledgable and offered a really wide range of activities. Their attention to form means that you are always working safely and they push you just the right amount. They also made sure that every single person was working at their own level (and gave options to accommodate injuries and preferences). They do all of this with a smile on their faces and with really caring energy. I was really impressed and wouldn’t hesitate to book again. I came home feeling leaner and fitter but also well rested and very happy.

I choose No1 Bootcamp to help me going back to a healthy and overall better life.
This bootcamp was for me a kickstart to my journey and I was quite stressed as I had been very unhealthy for the last 6 months.
To be honest the first two days were difficult but the coach and the other participants were super friendly and supportive! I honestly couldn't have done it without their support.
My main goal was to be able to complete and finish all exercices, on top of that I lost weight and centimeters around waist and hips.
After participating in this bootcamp, I feel like I am prepared to go on with my journey and achieve my final objective.
The accomodation in Marrakech was magnificent, a bit of comfort during this week is definitely necessary, it is even possible to have a massage :)
Our chef Toby was amazing, cooking fresh and varied dishes everyday.
Overall should you need a kickstart to your life or improve your level of fitness, No1 Bootcamp is a great option !
