Do not touch with a bargepole!!!!!

Why didn't I read these reviews before I assigned Michael Coxe of Northrise Carpenters and builders to fix my leaking roof on my home.
I paid £16,000 for him to fix my roof on my balcony and redecorate my kitchen where most of the damage had occurred.
Once I reported to him that my roof was still leaking he didn't turn up again, cut all contact and even left his scaffolding tower outside with missing glass balustrade around my balcony making it dangerous for me to use.
I tried numerous times to contact him by phone, text and email but he never got back to me and now summer has been and gone, I've had to pay for somebody to remove his scaffolding tower which apparently was not fit for purpose and would have failed health and safety.
His poor contractor, whom he was putting at risk whilst working, Mathew was a lovely hard working bloke who was told to rush the job and get out of there, he was left on his own for most of the time so it wasn't his fault.
Michael Coxe has been to prison, is a liar, a criminal, a rogue trader, is a money grabbing, horrible person.
I also have to now pay to have my roof done properly and my kitchen decorated again.
Avoid him like the plague.

Find someone else

Imagine you're 28 and you work for a living doing shift work and you spend most of your earned money on the house you own with bills and mortgage etc. Imagine you spent over the odds for your dream house that a builder was doing up and your house is your pride and joy. Imagine 2 years later January 2021, you notice a drip coming in through the kitchen ceiling from a flat roof. It's been really bad weather so imagine you phone your home insurance, they come out and explain that unfortunately the damage is not due to any bad weather damage its due to 'faulty building work'. Imagine you contact the original builder who comes out to have a look and says he can't see anything wrong but will come back on a 'dry day'. Imagine that builder then starts ignoring your phone calls and when you try him on a different number, he answers but when he realises its you, he pretends his signal has gone and hangs up. So imagine you then start phoning around roofers who charge £40 a time to come out and have a look, 5 roofers later (because they can't seem to find the problem) and £200 down, you find out that its nothing to do with the roof and it's actually a builder that you will need to come have a look. You then pay 3 builders to come have a look at £50 per builder and they all come to the same conclusion, faulty building work. Imagine you send the original builder a whats app message explaining that this is what you have been told and imagine that builder then decides the right thing to do is to block you on there. Imagine the quotes you have been given are roughly £5,000 to have the faulty work fixed but no one is available for 6-8 months due to COVID and being so busy. So imagine everytime it rains or you know there is rain due, you have have put 5 buckets or pans down in your kitchen and guess where the drips are going to come in so they can catch them. Welll I don't have to imagine any of this because this is what I've been going through since January 2021. I want to say a huge thanks to the original builder Michael Coxe of Northrise Carpenters & Builders for being the most unhelpful person and a down right awful human being for handling the situation this way.

Stay Clear of this company

Northrise Carpenters and Builders - Pontypridd.

Let's be clear. The guys on site were friendly the issue sits firmly with Michael Cox the owner.

I will keep this short and sweet as this company does not deserve my time to write this. Michael Cox the owner cannot be trusted nor should you pass on your hard earned money to his company. Various known issues with Northrise. They do not finish jobs, lie all the time, do not respond to communication. When searching for someone to complete some work remember forget this company, trust me it will save you a lot of hassle.
