Labour is charged at £165 per hour + VAT
Travelled 1.5 hours for service appointment to find out that it had not been booked so had to return the following week - asked if a sticking handbrake could be looked at at the same time. When I returned I was told that van needed a new compensator (relatively cheap mechanical part that with proper maintenance should not sieze) - no work was done but I was charged £190 for inspection (on top of service) van was only with them for 2 hours total- I was then sent a quotation for various items totalling just under £1800 - including 2 new tyre that have 4mm tread which have maybe another 15000 miles left on them - not happy at all talk about upsell - Got new Vito on order from Listers at Lincoln happy to travel to get good service.

Purchased two 92 AH batteries for my 907. York did not have them so they immediately arranged with Hull branch to drop the batteries over to me at my address in York.!
The service I received from the gent on the phone was a true breath of fresh air. Prompting me to look up the company as i had not been aware of them. From that interaction and reading the reviews without a doubt I will be getting all my future maintenance carried out by Northside. The Gent who took my enquiry came across so knowledgeable and took time to listen to me . Just shows having the right staff in all areas pays off. Thank you.

Emma, Jo, and Amelia are absolutely amazing. They’re always there to help us run our big fleet and respond within minutes whenever we need support. Their quick responses and constant help keep our fleet moving without delays.

Holiday saved by York Northside Truck & Van
We were due to head to the ferry in the evening. 2pm an engine management light came on and we were in limp mode.
Mercedes Truck and Van (York) fitted us in and got us up and running. Saved our holiday! Reception and Service are absolutely stars!!!!

went to York branch to have my van Mercedes 314 diagnosed problem with ABS and ESP at the cost of £110 plus VAT to the point they could not pick up the exact fault three possibilities starting with rotational speed sensor cost £127 plus VAT this did not work then wanted it back in for another two days to try fitting a new bearing and reluctant ring already cost me £408 not a chance, I then add a one man band mobile mechanic who diagnosed it unsolved the problem at a cost of £260 including parts and labour job sorted, this is not the first time I’ve had problems with this company back in 2017. They completely cocked up on fitting a reversing camera and screen was supposed to be fitted in a day. It took them almost a week to fit it and then tried to charge me almost double of the original estimate absolutely useless. Will never use this company again.

I recently purchased this Mercedes Sprinter316 L3H2 RWD vehicle which had been converted into a motor home in 2021 and needed some help with service history and renewing the Mobilo roadside assistance that had expired due to an issue with the previous owner failing to complete a gearbox oil change when it was last serviced. Jo Thorpe on the front desk helped me through this as I had no experience of the electronic world of Mercedes apps!
Vehicle was booked in for service & completed on time with the Mobilo cover restored.Excellent communication from booking through to collection of vehicle and will return vehicle for any further work.

Right from my first phone call a couple…
Right from my first phone call a couple of weeks ago the service from Northside has been prompt and efficient and helpful. My main point of contact has been Amelia who has been helpful all the way along. Also Josh who worked on the van again helpful and explained the issue… Also everyone else in the office was also just nice and pleasant to deal with. This place in not round the corner from me but well worth the trip.
