Expensive and not accurate when giving a price
We hired a 16” compression (wacker) plate on 12/10/2024, picked it up at c8.30am and returned it c11.30am same day, with a full tank of fuel. Friendly service and no problems with machine. But. The receptionist told us when we returned it that it would cost £57; a bit more than everywhere else (£40-50) but ok. It took 3 working days for our deposit to be returned, minus £98.33p. The invoice showed the hire was £71.25 +VAT, plus the cost of the waiver (£10.69p). For THREE HOURS hire. I emailed twice asking if this was correct as it seemed somewhat excessive, but the company have not even acknowledged me, let alone replied. Customer satisfaction obviously not high on their list of priorities in this case! Shame, as I went with this company because of the great reviews it had, and a personal recommendation; maybe a one-off customer isn’t as valuable as a trade account, who knows?
