Terrible customer service experience

So I think very highly of Nvidia. Ever since I had a bad experience with a new AMD card I purchased, I made the switch to Nvidia. I now have 3 nvidia gpus.

Their cards are great, but then I noticed that my 4060 on my living room tv build was idling at like 52w and that didn't seem correct especially considering that my 3060ti and 4070 were idling at like 6w-14w.

So I contacted Nvidia to see if the card was just reporting the power draw incorrectly or if it was really idling at such a high wattage via chat, and I explained everything and specifically said that this happens while my machine is idle. And I even mentioned that in the same scenario with same cpu and same psu, my 4070 and 3060ti only idle at 6-14w.

I asked the agent if my 4060 was actually idling at such a high wattage or if it was just reporting the power draw incorrectly, and after a long time of waiting, he finally responded, but his response made me lose a lot of faith in Nvidia customer service. He said, "The power draw depends on what games you are playing and what programs are running on your computer, but I can't tell you anything else beyond that". I took offense to that because he was basically talking to me like I didn't know what I was talking about.

I then responded to him by saying "I know power draw depends on what games you are playing or what programs you are running, thats why I specifically told you that this happens while my pc is idle." I finally told him that he was of absolutely no help at all, and I that I would find the answer on my own by buying a kill-a-watt power meter and I found out ON MY OWN that the 4060 just reports the power draw incorrectly.

I don't understand why they couldn't tell me anything about this issue. Almost like they were trying to keep something a secret? It just doesn't make sense to me. They could have just told me that it was reporting the power draw incorrectly, but they instead refused to give me a legit reason. I hate to know how customer service would react if I actually had a real problem.

This made me lose a lot of faith in Nvidia customer support because the agent also mentioned that he was taking forever to respond because he was helping multiple people. Nvidia is worth so much money and they have an agent helping multiple people and when you do finally get a response, they don't help you with the issue you are having. Do better Nvidia! I shouldn't have to spend my own money to find an answer to a simple question!

Purchase options for GPUs in Ireland /…

Purchase options for GPUs in Ireland / Europe are non existent on NVIDIA store (unlike UK & US). Only referrals to third party sites are available, which means no founder cards in most cases and scammy prices along with battling scalpers.
Its 2024 and for some reason nvidia still can figure out how to sell in Europe.

Unlike AMD where this is not an issue. I know who ill be supporting this round.

NVIDIA Employees are terrible to the public

You should try to download your nvidia driver for fortnite.

Fortnite - Warning you have a known bugged driver for nvidia. Click here to download.

NVIDIA Website

Download Drivers - Same Page
Download Drivers - Same Page
Click Download Drivers - Same Page.

There is no way that any of that information looks like a driver download page. What type of computer do you have? GeForce 100, 200, 300, 400?

It's so easy to tell that these people never seen a driver page before. There so dumb and Asian-re--tarded that they named their products - Game Ready. Well what game is it ready for buddy? It don't work on fortnite. I'm not worried about a game dumb dumb , I'm worried about windows 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 2095. I don't see the need to shut off my laptop display. You guys put the software on my computer for free. Now you don't remember what it is.

Foundation Edition power attachment fire risk IGNORED!

My foundation edition rtx 3070 nearly burnt my house down. The fire alarm sounded, and I went downstairs. The power attachment on the FE edition was on fire like a candle flame. The whole unit and my pc burnt down I couldn't believe it!
I checked I had one month remaining on the 3-year warranty they have offered. Nvidia refused a replacement and fobbed me off. I gave up trying, thinking I would get no support.
I decided to write today because we have a say on bad company policies.
Nvidia did not take notice of this fire hazard. That attachment should not be flammable. And they offered zero compensation and replacement support.

Never purchasing an nvidia product again, your software sucks. your log in feature never works meaning I can never log in. Your geforce experience HUD regulary crashes meaning I can't interact with a game. Every update seems to break something. I just died at a crucial time in a game because of your awful software. Im also bored of shadowplay just turning itself off for no reason.

Dont buy if you plan on using a Mac

Dont buy if you plan on using a Mac to stream. Logging in when ur ingame is a Horror. If your controller gets disconnected while gaming(if u even get it to work properly) you have to restart everything due to the controller not being recognized. Absolute waste of 50€, how can someone even ask money for something this buggy and unfinished. (60% of all problems would be fixed if they just let you chose ur Keyboard Layout and if they got Ctrl C+V working)

They conducted a thorough investigation and successfully recovered my assets with NVIDIA. The fee structure was transparent, with no hidden costs afterward.

Awful company for customers

Awful company for customers! I am 77 and decided to let my 11 yr old grandson have a day pass to play some games. Didn’t work, system is AI designed to guide customers into a forest of mush! After some years paying extraordinary high monthly fees - I cancelled. Then when I tried to provide a a few hours gaming for my grandson, they ignored my complaints, after all they are the biggest company in the world, pity they don’t like people!!

Our e-sports team uses NVIDIA

Our e-sports team uses NVIDIA graphics cards in our pc builds and for our triple monitor set-ups we like to use NVIDIA surround to span the monitors. For a few people, the surround seems to "remember" the last physical connections of the monitors even if they changed it. If they did this then rearranging the physical placement to match the NVIDIA surround configuration set up will still remember the last arrangement no matter the change. They worked out a solution which was to quickly swap the physical connections twice so that it would match the set up instead. Then surround span worked perfectly. While the e-athletes are able to figure this out, their casual friends from university did not figure it out and quit using NVIDIA products to try building with another brand instead.
