I contacted Samsung on Thursday last…

I contacted Samsung on Thursday last week because my washer was faulty. I was told that North West Appliance Repairs are the contractors for Samsung and I was given the number to contact them directly as my machine is out of warranty.
I spoke to a lady who said that they could come out on Tuesday of this week. So, I tried a few other companies but I went back to North West Appliance Repairs who then told me that they could get an engineer out earlier, on Monday.
The call handler was not interested in asking me for any information relating to the machine. She just wanted me to make a payment.
On Monday I worked from home and I called the company at about 11am to find out where the engineer was. I was told that he would call me. I called again at about 2pm and I was told that the engineer had called in sick. The call handler claimed that every other customer was called except me. She then said that the engineer would come the next day.
My partner had to take a day off work on Tuesday to accommodate the visit. When the engineer arrived, he said that the office had not provided any details of the machine. He saw that there was no power and said that it was the mother board. He did not move the machine, open it up, carry out a diagnostic test or anything. He said that he would send a report and we would get a call.
2 days later and there was no call. So, I called and the call handler said that they ‘were’ going to call me. She said that it would cost about £108 but they didn’t have an eta on the part. I asked her to cancel and requested a refund for the call out charge because the engineer did not come out as agreed on the date I was given & when someone did come out, they did nothing. It would have been cheaper and less time consuming to buy a new machine.
I was told a manager would call me today. However, when I called to find out what time the manager would call, I was told he had gone home. Why am I not surprised.
This company is shocking. I would avoid it all costs. I have complained to Samsung as well.

Brendan - thank you

My Samsung washing machine somehow ended up stopping mid-cycle and therefore I was unable to open the door.
I contacted Samsung who told me I need to drain machine, which was not an easy task for me.
Machine is only 12 months old.
That still didn't permit me to open the door so they contacted North West Appliance Repairs.
Brendan came out on 5 March and I am VERY glad to say he did what was needed and can now use washing machine.

Full credit to NWAR - and Brendan in particular - for prompt action in sorting this out for me.

Ass & Elbow

My experience of NWAR is that they are deceitful, disorganised and have no respect for customer experience. Was contacted this morning to apologise for the engineer failing to attend for a scheduled repair yesterday as their vehicle broke down - I asked why I wasn’t given the ‘2-hour’ slot as their texts advise, why the engineer didn’t call me yesterday to let me know he had an issue and couldn’t attend - no response to these. More importantly, I asked why the engineer visit had been scheduled in the first place as the Blomberg dishwasher had been replaced 2 weeks earlier under the Consumer Rights Act as it had broken within 6 weeks of purchase and NWAR had been unable to repair on their first visit (which they rescheduled as their engineer was also going to be late if there at all). Shocking company - I fear for anyone with a warranty being looked after by this lot. My advice - check in advance who does any warranty repairs. If NWAR, buy something else

What a shocking customer experience

What a shocking customer experience - tied to this dreadful company as appliance is under warranty as fault appeared within 6 weeks. Given an all day appointment with the promise of a call on the day to give a 2 hour slot. No slot so chased and was given my slot. Not arrived by end of slot so chased and was told that they were stuck on a job, had another one to go to before mine and that they would be there within a couple more hours. No contact from engineer, had to do all chasing myself. Dreadful - would not touch them with a barge pole if I had a choice. Had to rebook for next week - lets see what happens then....

I’ve had my second visit from this…

I’ve had my second visit from this company in 2 weeks for my Samsung washing machine as their repairer, after reading these reviews I was apprehensive to say the least. The first visit which was booked was originally cancelled due to sickness but rebooked for the next day which conveniently worked better for us. We were Johns first visit and he texted me the night prior to let me know he would arrive between 7-7.30am and he was on the dot at 7am on a Saturday!! which again worked great so it was out of the way! He fixed the part and there was something else wrong which needed re ordering and the fitting was planned for the week after. To my surprise it was John who was coming back!! I wasn’t sure as he doesn’t usually cover my area but I was chuffed, my overall experience with John has been brilliant, he was polite, had a laugh and got the job done! He is an absolute credit to this company and it’s just a shame all of the other reviews didn’t obviously get John repairing their appliances. Thank you John!!

This company I don’t think they know…

This company I don’t think they know what one person is doing to the next.
I have a bush tumble dryer only a mini one, but I took out the insurance with Argos with accidental and breakdown cover. I called up domestic and general on 9th January and I got an appointment with this company on 16th to fit the correct part. They came and said that the company had ordered wrong part. So they had to reschedule. Called me back the following week for 23rd I had to wait all day for the all day appointment to be told they would attend at 8pm so I told them not convenient. Then I got a phone call at 2pm that day so engineer had tried to call round but had failed the appointment. Another cracking joke !
Then we remade the appointment for 27th (today) so now I’m on 3 days off work and loosing over £200 in lost wages, from this company

TV repair was actually excellent

LG TV had a faulty panel. I was able to talk to the engineer direct and send photos. From that they ordered the part, came out once and swapped the panel over in my home in less than half an hour. Honestly couldn't ask for more. Nice job.

Shoddy

First they cancelled an appointment and never informed me so I wasted a day off work. The new appointment was 5 days later. They text my landline so the arrival time was not clear to understand. The guy was in 10 minutes. Said he fixed it but it broke down on the first wash. Got a new appointment for 10 days later which they cancelled and put back another 6 days. So I sacked them off. Would recommend looking elsewhere like I did.

POOR COMMUNICATION

Beko booked them to come and fix my washer on 11/12/2025. No one showed up, and they then sent me a text message saying it's been booked for 16/12/2025. I called them, and they said Beko should not have sent confirmation of a booking on 11/12/2025. So the 16/12/2025 came and did any show up or communicate - NO!!!!!!! I made a complaint to Beko and my landlord, to then got a call on 17/12/2025 at 3:20 pm saying, 'We are calling to rebook your appointment. My question was why did no one show up yesterday or communicate, and the response was 'oh, did the engineer not call you? NO!!!! keep in mind the job was raised on 02/12/2025, and today is 17/12/2025, and now an engineer can't come till the 23rd. Simple communication and not me having to chase would have been a big difference from a 1-star review to a 4 star.......Let's see if they show up on 23rd..... and if not, then we know the 1 star is justifiable.

Poor result, no responsibility

We had an engineer come to fix our fridge freezer. He was polite and helpful and replaced the door. However, within 11 months the fault had reoccurred. We hadn't realised that the work only carries a 3 month warranty! The company suggested we spend over £200 once again to repeat the solution that failed last time. We declined.

The worst company I've ever seen

Got this company via Hisense warranty. One of their engineers was coming to fix my washing machine. After delaying the initial appointment couple of days and after two weeks without washing machine, he sent me a message asking me to rebook because he couldn't find any parking, which was a total lie.

There is always parking around in my area, but of course if you don't want to work or a Friday at 5:30pm because it's raining... I would offer parking if I could, but in any case where to park is not customer's responsibility.

I called him back to show my disappointment and he ended up saying that his legs were in pain after working during the day... Unbelievable. Absolute joke, I had made work arrangements just for this.

Appalling. Terrible. Horrible. There are not enough adjectives to describe it without losing my manners. Never got a service like that in my entire life. He ended up hanging up on me. Lazy, rude and unprofessional, avoid this company at all costs.

Very expensive way of being told dryer can’t be fixed

Very expensive way of being told my dryer can’t be fixed! They want upfront payment of labour costs of £108.00. Engineer came out, said it needed a part replacing, they can’t get the part so that’s it, end of job. No refunds, not even partial, I appreciate it cost the engineer to look at the appliance but over a 100 is a bit steep! I wouldn’t recommend this company for repairs if you are paying for the service yourself. I can’t comment on engineer’s capabilities because they didn’t do anything.

One star so I can write something

One star so I can write something. Was referred to these cowboys by Samsung for our broken Fridge/Freezer (just outside of the 2yr warranty). Fridge works fine, Freezer chills doesn't freeze. Paid £120 fee. From entering the house to leaving (as evidenced by RingDoor Bell) the engineer spent 11 minutes with us. In that time was quick to remove 4 screws from an inside panel, no diagnostics tests run and merely told us it was broken. Said may be able to fix, or may not be able to fix. No attempt to fix problem at time of visit, and merely advised that we would get a quote for a repair or we can buy a new one. Over 2 weeks later and not heard anything since.

NWAR are only getting one star so I can…

NWAR are only getting one star so I can post a review, otherwise they would have received no star. Samsung washing machine needed the automatic washing machine dispencer pump, and draw assembly replaced under warranty.
The engineer turned up with the pump, but the draw assembly was the wrong component. He replaced the pump and said he would have the draw assembly posted out to me. Two days later the wrong part was posted out to me!
I contacted NWAR who said they would have the correct part posted out. After a couple of days waiting for the part to arrive I rang NWAR for an update, they had no record of me contacting them, and said they would look into it and ring me back. Three days later and no call back I rang them again.
They again fobed me off stating the parts dept were at a meeting and would have someone call me back, three days later still no call back I rang them again. They told me they would raise the issue and have someone call me back two days later still no call from them. Its patently obvious this company once they attend a warranty Job notified Samsung as they did for payment, that the job was successfuly closed. and any issues because of their incompetance is now your problem.
