We work within a variety of industries across the North of England, supporting our clients and their commercial kitchens. We work closely with all our customers to meet the individual needs of their kitchens, and keep it operating efficiently through our service and maintenance support packages. All of our engineers are trained to the highest standards, with experience in a vast range of services, ensuring they can service all elements within your business’s kitchen.

Credit Accounts

After being told we need a credit account as they don’t do proforma we completed their form. We chased this up and where told they only deal with limited companies not sole traders or partnerships! As a business person I think this is very short sided. They should show this on their site so as not to waste people’s time, sole traders or partnerships

NWCE are fantastic!

Excellent standard of project work.

Highly Reccomend!

I've had issues with my drains for the last 12 months and NWCE have been on hand every time! They have a wealth of knowledge and all the tools and gadgets to get me out of a sticky situation multiple times - friendly, prompt and professional service.

Thought they would be better

As a charity we have to count every penny. NWCE where extremely over priced, engineers making up faults, charging for works incomplete. Asked for works to be carried out only to be told other issues are needed to be looked at. All just made up stuff then being asked to pay for callouts that where not what we asked of them. Really disappointed and sad that companies still work like this.

unprofessional

not recommended. so unprofessional, staff are not welling to do anything. they keep sending invoices for jobs they haven't attended to. time means nothing to them, what a waste of time.

Honestly one of the best companies I…

Honestly one of the best companies I have dealt with. As a facilities manager we need great support from catering and refrigeration contractors and in my 30 off years of experience these are the best

Called out over the weekend

Called out over the weekend when no one else would attend, engineer arrived within the hour, had the part on his van, fixed the oven and had us up and running, brilliant service thank you

Couldn't fix a simple issue and won't give me my money back.

Had to call NWCE a couple of months ago because the ignition system on my mobile pizza oven had broken. It was just a simple fix, the cable connecter to the electrode had become detached.
The engineer that came was a very nice man, but he didn't have the fixings available on his van to do a direct swap of components and reattach the wire, so he used an alternative method that didn't work. He then stated the electrode was broken. The oven was only 3 months old at this point, so highly unlikely.
NWCE emailed me a month later saying they couldn't reach the manufacturer to get the fixings required to repair the oven. So I just called up the manufacturer myself, got through straight away and arranged a repair directly with them over the phone.

It turns out the repair job was poor, and the electrode works. So effectively NWCE did nothing to fix the oven, diagnosed the problem wrongly and ended up costing me more money travelling down to see the manufacturer. The makers were really surprised he didn't have to the parts needed for the repair on his van as they're so common.

I've contacted NWCE for a refund, they said they'd call me back. They haven't. They've now stopped replying to my emails (three so far, over a three week period) asking for a refund, so I'm going to my bank to see if I can try and get the money back that way.

I imagine they're probably good engineers, but in this instance they didn't get the work done and I've spent twice the money for a simple fix. 2 stars for the fact they're trying hard not to give me my money back....or speak to me.

Update 9th December 2024:
They replied six years later by telling me to contact their customer team. This does nothing to change my experience of the time.
