Someone needs to tell the courier driver how to read the label. Delivered to the wrong address even though the right address was printed clearly on the front. It was delivered the next street over. As soon as I saw the photo of the mailbox in my email, I knew where it was. Has happened a few too many times.
Funnily enough, I'm starting to get to know the occupants of the other house where my parcels keep going. NZ Couriers themselves don't give a crap where anything goes. As long as it's out of their hands.
Avoid at all costs - decline purchase of items if this is the preferred courier service.

Medical overnight courier with 4 days delayed sitting as “picked up”. Called customer service twice, and on second call it’s apparently sitting at an unmanned depot and I’ll need to wait the entire weekend (if delivered Monday, this is 6 days for “overnight”).
No update on tracking information. Will be communicating with shipper that I will not use their service again unless the provide alternative shipping options.
Every single package handled by NZ couriers has been delayed, misplaced, redirected, or not delivered with a call notice in the mailbox when I have been home all day (WFH).
I know this review is futile and unlikely to change anything - they get the money regardless and clearly do deals with companies to lower their expenses. Best advice to anyone reading this is to check with retailers of who they use, and refuse to purchase if New Zealand Couriers is their only option. Best way we can collectively highlight the shortfalls of a company that fails to meet the basic requirements of their core service.
I’m surprised this hasn’t been picked up in consumer rights or a lawsuit to force action or change service expectations- if any other company offered a service they couldn’t fulfil at this scale, you would expect serious consequences.

Ordered another box of plants from Hawke’s Bay, instead of arriving the next day. The driver decided the box was damaged and left it at the depot.
By the following day I really started worrying were my plants were and logged an enquiry. Apparently, they left a note on the tracking number that the package was being held as the box was damaged. I looked up the tracking number (because i had been checking every few hours and I never saw notes) and no- there are no notes about my package being held. They never rung or emailed either.
I told them I'll come pick up my plants then and they told me (once I arrived) if I take them away they forfeit any damages. Thing is - I explain- I'm not going to know if you've killed my plants for at least a few days to weeks from now.
"I understand that" she said.
...took my plants home and decided to never ever EVER use these people again. I will request sellers use another courier for any item I buy online too.

Terrible service
We are sending quite a number of parcels through NZC, generally a good service.
BUT this time, an important parcel for our client, because of importance, we collected at Airport from DHL (400km drive for us), collected parcel and moved it to NZC Auckland, Wiri, at 4:30pm for standard overnight delivery to Wellington.
Unbelievable, the parcel sat around and did not move until a day later.
Just teaches you, you try to help your client and do everything right and then you have an incapable company doing a s.... job, and it is the easiest.
Service is run by idiots that can’t deliver.
My recent delivery process has been a mess. I’ve ordered items from Wish but the tracker said it’s been held at depot due to incorrect address, I’ve contacted them to confirm that my address was correct. The next day, the courier arrived and did not ring, only left the card without warning,
NZ Couriers yet again do not deliver
This keeps happening. I receive an update from eBay at the beginning of the day informing me that my parcel is 'Out For Delivery'... BUT IT DOES NOT GET DELIVERED!. I phone NZ Couriers who are supposed to be delivering it and they inform me they gave my parcel to Post Haste to deliver (the only thing more useless than NZ Couriers is their buddy Post Haste). And when I tell them "Post Haste has not delivered my parcel" NZ Couriers tell me in their usual unhelpful way that it has nothing to do with them (even though they are supposed to be the final mile carrier in NZ!) and that I must contact Post Haste to find out why my parcel was not delivered.
So... as the second day of non "delivery" passes by what I am now going to do is get hold of eBay and inform them of what is constantly happening when their parcels fall into the hands of New Zealand's two most useless courier outfits. The sooner NZ Couriers and Post Haste go out of business the better for every customer who is forced to tolerate their unacceptable service!
My Niki Bag and contents lost (Stolen?)
I left my Niki bag with Minelab headphones at a friend’s who arranged overnight delivery. They never arrived and now I am out of pocket $353.00. I will not bother my friend who is extremely busy to try and put a claim through as that is not fair on him. I am told that I cannot organise the claim as I am the receiver. I am really unhappy with this and would like to warn others that this service is not to be trusted and totally unacceptable

Extremely Poor Service
One of our suppliers uses this company. They simply just will not deliver to our address which is literally 1km from their Highbrook warehouse. We have to chase them up and then go ourselves and collect from their Hub in Highbrook or Manukau. Clearly their drivers are just too lazy and dont care about customer service which is highlighted by their abysmal rating on Trustpilot. Why anyone uses this company is beyond me

They threw my package onto my front…
They threw my package onto my front lawn at 7.20 am this morning, instead of putting it into my very large mail box. It rained during the day but I had no idea my package was out there, as no email or text alerts came through to tell me package had been delivered. Someone in my family happened to see it outside at about 4pm. It was a very small package and could easily have got lost as well as very wet. Very angry and disappointed that they didn't treat my package with respect.
Worst delivery experience ever
I have been awaiting a parcel to be delivered but it was delivered to the wrong address (which I have photographic evidence for). Called up the customer service and they said they would get the driver to uplift the parcel to deliver it to the correct address and am still waiting. Contacted the customer service again which I got the reply that the driver said they delivered to the correct address which is false as no one has come to my door or put it in the letterbox.
The "Overnight" Service
I paid to have something sent from Auckland to Wellington. I checked to see that it had arrived the following day in Wellington and it was "out for delivery" with 'Courier 422'. Nothing arrived that day and the following day, at 4pm in the afternoon it had still not arrived. I rang NZC and got put through to Christchurch. I asked where the parcel was, and I was told they didn't know as the people in Christchurch couldn't speak to the Wellington Drivers. They are really frustrating to deal with and customers are regarded as an interruption to a peaceful life.
Door to Letterbox???
Saw parcel was delivered, but not at my door. Had to walk down my long drive in rain to find it in my letterbox. Couriers aren't meant to deliver Door to letterbox, and I am a pensioner. This company as bad as Aramax.

The most horrible experience ever.
They sent it to the wrong location and haven't even found my parcel for a MONTH now and all they are saying it to wait and that they are trying their best. They have only just sent a search now that I am calling like 10 times. They still havent found it and their help centre is just absolute rage bait. They hang up mid call and dont give you the details or information about your product properly because they just dont want to accept the fact that they lost my product. All they say is to ask the sender not themselves! when they are the ones who wrongly delivered my parcel!!! NEVER USE NZ COURIERS
Very Slow:
A customer of mine uses NZ Couriers and supplies a return ticket with their product.
1/ There is no simple online booking form/service for non registered customers; I can only call in and make a manual booking.
2/ They never pick up and only after three days when I lose my patience and I call in and complain, so I give them plenty of time. An hour after I phone in for the second time and complain, a Post Haste van arrives and collects the parcel, I never see an NZ courier van. One time I complained while I placed the booking and it still took three days and I had to call in again. Sheesh
3/ The depot is only 3.5km away from our home on Google Maps.
