major plumbing issues.

I have had many plumbing issues with my home as has every other house on this small development of 18 homes.

We’ve all been abandoned by Oakford Homes who claims it is not their responsibility anymore. Thousands spent, complete heartache of the major leaks and damage caused.

On the surface the houses are lovely, what leaks beneath is shocking.

reviews by independent professionals working for insurance companies have stated the workmanship is very poor. This is documented. Considering every house has had at least one leak, it goes without saying.

It cost me £3,224 to put it right

We bought the show house on a small development in Midhurst. The houses look good but problems for many of our neighbours started arising with the stuff you can’t see. Our problem was the drainage system. After a few months we noticed a bad smell in the house, which was traced to the chamber in the yard where three pipes met and where toilet waste was collecting and backing up under the house. Oakford sent men out on a number of occasions, with several suggestions as to the cause – and the remedy – but the problem remained. Throughout the summer I had to flush the waste away every week with a hose-pipe. I reported the matter to NHBC who asked Oakford for their opinion and Oakford told them the system was functioning normally. By the time we got to the second summer I had had enough and brought in someone else. It cost me £3,224 to have a bigger chamber installed and the drains re-laid. If you buy an Oakford property don’t expect them to put things right.
