False promises

Had enquired about a role with a consultant, who had initially reached out to me via email in the first place.

When I reached out to said consultant to ask about a different role, they promptly told me they couldn’t talk then, but would call me back in 30 mins.

They never called back, despite my initial call, as well as a follow up email. All I got instead was an automatic rejection email saying the role wasn’t suitable.

This lacked a human touch and really made me feel like just another “CV on the pile of rejected candidates”.

This has made me lost trust in Oakleaf’s service and integrity.

Oakleaf must be doing something right

Oakleaf must be doing something right, as many businesses put vacancies to them. Therefore I am guessing they are client-oriented. It is a shame that they don't deliver or find a way of improving the all-round experience.

I have used key-words, I have written specific covering letters, I have even tried contacting them to find out what I can do to have more of an impact with their positions.

Their receptionist was vague, condescending, even rude and alienating when I contacted Oakleaf. Rushing to get off the phone, not a valuable conversation. I wonder if it would be the same if I was a client?

I avoid Oakleaf positions like the plague and will do all I can to find another way in!

Not responsive

I've responded to a vacancy by reaching out to the recruiter via email and LinkedIn. No response, reached out over phone and was told someone would reach out to make an appointment. Never heard back. Same vacancy is continuously advertised via various job boards.

I have contacted Oakleaf applying for…HR

I have contacted Oakleaf applying for HR roles but never hear back. I spoke to Natalia on 4 occasions about 1 role and she sent over my CV to the company and I did not hear from her again. I had to chase her for an outcome where a poor excuse was given. I would never use this company again even if they contacted myself for a role. Unprofessional and farm for CV’s. They advertise high salaries but this is just enticement. Do not use this company. Recruitment agencies have a bad rep and Oakleaf partnership confirm this.

I have sent my CV to Oakleaf for 3…

I have sent my CV to Oakleaf for 3 roles. I have relevant experience having applied for positions identical to the one I currently perform. I work for a global corporate blue chip in a senior role and not once have I had the courtesy of a response!

No feedback or contact after submission for a role

I’ve been submitted for a number of roles via Oakleaf. It’s always been “urgent” for me to send my CV over and over for each submission, which takes time out of my day too. I’ve not once had feedback from them - The 1 interview I did have, the feedback was “oh you’re better off without that one” ?? I don’t care if the feedback is negative, it gives me something to work with in future. Guys - please look after ALL of your candidates, not just the ones you place.

Would highly recommend

I really couldn't be happier with my experience with Oakleaf and Alice Hamp in particular. She kept me updated throughout the process and truly went above and beyond. Would highly recommend
