Nice house but needs better cleaners and more attention to repairs.

We stayed in Oakwood House for 4 nights 16.04.2026 on arrival there was a leak on the tap in the sink in the kitchen, the settes in the conservatory area were all stained and appeared to have had no attempt to clean them. In one of the double bedrooms on the 1st floor both the bedside lights were balanced against the wall, when you moved them the shade and the wiring fell over from the neck where the light bulb fitting was should have been repaired before we arrived. There were shelves missing out of the fridges and the drink dispenser in the fridge had brown bits floating in the bottom, this had not been cleaned for some time. We cleaned it thoughly to avoid legionairs disease.
Otherwise the house was very nice and we had a nice stay. It was a same it was let down by the above.

No water at all!!! A very bad experience - you won't get your money back

When we first arrive at the holiday house, we had NO WATER in the showers or in the toilets.
We have called the owner, and he first says that they have run out of water supply, and they are working to get water for tomorrow.
After 24 hours there was still no water in the house.
We were 2 families with small kids, we couldn’t bath them, we didn’t have water to wash ourselves.
We have called the owner again and they say “it’s the whether – we can’t do anything about it”
So, we have asked them nicely to find us a solution to use shower nearby (they could easily rent us a b&b nearby just for showers or to give us some other solutions) but they IGNORED us.
as we saw we can’t continue like that our holidays anymore, we have asked them nicely to refund us the money and so we can go somewhere else.
They refused the give us back the money and they start shouting at us over the phone.
5 days after we arrived they found out that they have a problem with the boiler. They said they have sent someone to fix it so we waited another day.
A day later, we left the premises as we had no other choice, we didn’t have normal showers for 6 days, and the kids were crying that they want to go back to a normal house with water.
