Sells used cars in terrible condition

I bought a used Toyota rav4 (2010) with low mileage assuming it was in pretty good condition, especially considering the rather high price compared to similar cars on the market.

Just 2 weeks after the purchase, when trying to refuel at the gas station, gasoline started pouring out beneath the car and to the ground.

I visited a mechanic and it was discovered that the gasoline pipe connected to the fuel tank had completely rusted. Unfortunately that was not the only issue discovered…here is list of things I have had to repair so far:

* Fuel pipes to the fuel tank needed to be replaced.
* Because of heavy rust, the fuel tank itself had to be removed and cleaned to do away with rust debris.
* Both rear shock absorbers and springs were all done and rusted through and needed to be replaced.
* Rear axel was leaking oil. New gasket and oil refill was needed.
* A front control arm bushing had severe play and needed to be replaced.
* Oil filter house was broken and needed to be replaced.

The total cost of all these repairs landed on approx 22.000 SEK.

Not to mention I just discovered that the lower seam of the drivers door has been completely rusted through and has to either be repaired or replaced altogether.

Now, when my car broke down, most of the staff at this company was away on vacation, so they didn't respond to my emails about for at least a week.

When they finally did answer, they told me to send them an estimate from the repair shop so we could take it from there.

The repairs had obviously already started at this point, since I can't just have the car waiting in the workshop until they answer.

Now they don't want to pay me for any of the repairs with the excuse that they didn't get a chance to look at it and that I didn't send over the estimate before starting the repairs.

They essentially wanted me to wait for an answer before doing anything to the car, then somehow tow the car 200 km to Örebro to have them evaluate the problems. Kind of a crazy requirement.
I don't know how I was suppose to do any of that since they were all on vacation/unreachable and I was not even able to move/drive the car in the condition it was in.

Anyway, long story short. Do not buy any used cars from this car company. If you are unlucky enough to have problems with the car, they won't give you a dime or try to help you in any way
