The boxes for the outdoor chicken run arrived on time, and once we finally got it up, we were happy with the unit itself. It’s solid and does the job.
Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end.
One of the main reasons we chose this company was the advertised step-by-step video showing one man assembling the entire run from start to finish. What arrived, however, was not the same configuration as the one in the video. The differences may have seemed minor, but they had a major impact on how the run actually needed to be assembled.
We had to fall back on the printed manual, which was convoluted and unclear. What should have been straightforward turned into hours and hours of unnecessary frustration.
The worst part? There is no phone support. You can only contact them via email. I should have checked that before purchasing because I will not deal with another company that doesn’t offer the ability to actually speak to a human being.
When I emailed, it took two days to receive what looked like an automated reply that didn’t address a single question I’d asked. I even raised a concern about a missing part — that was completely ignored.
Now I’m in the awkward position of needing to expand the run, which means I have to purchase from them again. I genuinely wish I didn’t. The product is decent, but the process and customer support experience were extremely disappointing.

One of the worst customer service ever. They gave me a faulty auto coop door which I have tried contacting customer help line multiple times and not once have they got back to me about it.
The panel for the auto door doesn’t work and even with a battery change it doesn’t turn on
Waste of money and time so don’t bother

I purchased a 32m fence kit, which cost $344. Unfortunately, I've only received the wall connector & gate kits, but no actual fence & poles.
My phone call to the Australian outlet was unanswered and they have not replied to my follow up email.
I'm stuck in an endless loop of emails with the UK support team, providing more photos of the same items & restating the same order details.
I hope that at some stage, I actually get the fence that I've paid for but there is no sign of that right now.
UPDATE 3/2025 - The fence eventually arrived and is really good, thanks 👍

I’m extremely disappointed with Omlet's customer service. I purchased a cat climbing frame less than two years ago, and it came with missing parts. I contacted the customer service center for help, only to be told that these parts cannot be purchased individually. Although they explained that the parts are pre-packaged and not sold separately, I repeatedly emphasized that I cannot assemble the cat climbing frame without these parts and asked for advice or assistance. Unfortunately, their only response was that the parts can't be purchased.
This response is truly disheartening. I bought the product based on a recommendation from a friend, and never expected such poor customer service. As a consumer, I believe I should receive better support, especially when the product is less than two years old.I now regret spending over $400 on a product that doesn't work at all
I hope Omlet can offer a reasonable solution—either by sending the missing parts or providing alternative assistance.

I've had nothing but issues with this product! I've gone through 2 doors and THREE controls for the doors and they keep stuffing up! Tonight was the last straw, it turned the light off (7 minutes late) then the door remained open!! When I tried to manually close the door it just made a little buzz sound and didn't move at all! Changed the batteries, no better. Luckily I was home or this would have endangered my chickens, I live rural and there are foxes. Absolute disgrace. This company has no issues sending you out a new item if it's faulty but they're getting worse not better! I thought investing so much in this, it would be a great product that would last me years. If I was working late tonight I would have been devastated coming home to dead chickens.

I have to admit I'm very surprised with the negative reviews I've seen here. We have had Omlet Eglu's for years now and I can't speak highly enough about them. They are sturdy, easy to clean and safe. Recently we upgraded to the new larger coop and the design has gotten even better. Just a note to anyone considering getting one, there is an ambassador program whwre you can contact so.eone who has coops and go look for yourself

I have experienced multiple product quality issues with the Omlet up. The hutch does not fit together with the supplied parts. The run is of very poor quality, with plastic clips that are manufactured with a defect, leading to stressed plastic that will clearly perish in the harsh Australian climate. In addition, the instructions are the worst that I have seen, hardly legible, illogical and incomplete. Please don't make the mistake of buying this expensive to buy but cheaply made product.
The response below is complete BS and deliberately misleading. In a seperate communication Omlet has admitted to the manufacturing fault on the clips yet below they claim they are sturdy. Don't be misled by the fancy marketing and damage control on review sites.

Haven’t actually purchased the eglu because I have been waiting for omlet to get back to me for months. I currently have 6 automated emails from them in my inbox telling me “your enquiry is important to us and we will get back to you within 2 business days”. I have also phoned and commented on their Facebook posts but I am yet to get a reply, which is odd because I have over $1,400 of stuff I want to buy. I’m so glad I saw these reviews, seems the product is almost as bad as the customer service.

We recently had a tornado at Tamborine mountain. Many homes lost their chickens. So many trees around our coop came down, however the omlet coop sustained zero damage. Our hens were kept safe during the tornado. Thank you omlet! It’s the best investment for my hens and I can safely say the Omlet go up is tornado proof!
I've had the worst experience in my life with Omlet, they're incredible unresponsive by email. Had to follow up 3 times to get a response back which was vague. poor quality. CANNOT RECOMMEND

Easy site to navigate - no problems
Easy website with groovy animal enclosure
The ordering was quick and easy but it seems I will have to wait three weeks for the moveable chicken run. If it works as advertised it will be a good addition.
