A Terrible Experience with OneFone
A Terrible Experience with OneFone: A Warning
I want to share what happened when I went to the OneFone shop in Randers on August 4th. I was hoping to get my girlfriend's iPhone screen fixed and also replace my battery , which was only at 77% and my screen (which only had some scratches to it). But things didn't go well, and I'm pretty upset about it.
So, I walked into the store, thinking it'd be a simple fix. My girlfriend's broken screen would be replaced on her IPhone XS, and I'd get a new battery + a new screen. They managed to replace her screen without any issues, which was a relief. But my experience was a disaster.
They messed up when trying to replace my battery. They accidentally broke a tiny part inside the phone that connects to the battery. It took them a couple of hours to figure out what was wrong, and they couldn't fix it on the spot. They had to send my iPhone 13 Pro to their workshop in Aarhus to get it fixed. I had to wait another day for it to come back. The guy at the store did his best, but it wasn't enough.
The battery and screen they put in was some cheap copy from China, and not what was agreed.
When I finally got my phone back, things got even worse. The replacement battery and screen they put on were terrible quality. The battery life was even worse than before. I now have to charge my phone at least two times every day, which was a huge hassle.
And the screen they replaced was thicker than the original. I accidentally dropped my phone from a really short distance – just 23 cm from my couch – and the screen cracked in 12 different places. It was ridiculous. It's ridiculous that trying to fix my phone actually made it worse.
I tried reaching out to OneFone through emails and calls over the past two weeks, but they never replied. This just added to my frustration. It's clear their customer service is lacking.
To put it simply, my experience with OneFone was a disaster. The "fix" they provided was not worth the money at all. The replacement parts were really low quality, and my phone's performance got even worse. I want to warn others: don't go to OneFone if you need your phone fixed. Find a proper professional shop instead. I'm writing this with a lot of frustration and anger because I don't want anyone else to go through what I did.
In short, OneFone's promise of a quick solution turned into a nightmare for me. The low-quality replacements and high prices are just not worth it. Please learn from my experience and avoid the disappointment I went through.
