Good pricing, but..

Good pricing, horrible credit policy on scheduled shipments, customer service follow thru is only acceptable and they are prone to making delivery errors.

Easy website and flow

Easy website and flow. Parts that I needed were in stock and shipped the same day. Customer service was quick to answer the phone and get my questions answered. Will be buying from here again!

If it wasn’t the only place to purchase…

If it wasn’t the only place to purchase the one component that we can’t purchase from anyone else, I would not do business with them. They, after years of being a customer, consistently don’t ship on schedule and charge against our credit card for the full amount on a credit hold. We are currently looking for a substitute part so we no longer have to order from online components.com. Don’t recommend for reliable supply.

I have always had a good experience …

I have always had a good experience with them. Perhaps this inventory on line is not the most accurate but their prices are often more reasonable than elsewhere. I have an overdue backorder with them right now but that is to be expected since most mfgs shut down for a few weeks this time of year. Some of the other retailers gouge you on tools, Online components won't charge you list price on an expensive tool.

Overpriced rip off!

Purchased 2 mechanical hour meters at $56.25 each, (purchased the exact same item from Grainger for $15) took forever to receive them, then they were missing the mounting clips. Wouldn't call me back, after 3 calls to them said they would ship out the missing parts. Steer clear of this company!!!

ITS A SCAM!

I requested corrugated esd pads for electronic manufacturing. They were very quick to establish communication and get my business. Once payment was received, they became a ghost. Its been 2 months and all of my attempts to reach them just hits dead ends! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!

BAIT AND SWITCH...

I ordered qty of 16 psl-cnnt-v (v= 5 pack) and when it shipped they only sent me 16 pcs not 16 packs of 5 as I ordered. I talked with customer service and he agreed that they did not fulfill my order and he was going to ship out the rest of what I ordered immediately Fast forward 6 weeks and I had still had not received my order that they promised. No call, they were assuming i would just go away... Call into customer service and they say oh well you don't understand that it says 5 pack but we sell them per piece... Well why does the description state that it comes as a 5 pack? They tell me it doesn't matter and that they do not sell them in 5 packs. I tell them that they have 2 different parts listed and one is sold individually and the other is sold in a 5 pack and they disagree. They call me back a few times to let me know that they are discussing with the managers and they will work to a resolution. They say that they will take the 16 pcs. that they sent me back and refund my money. I wish they would have told me this 6 weeks ago instead of me waiting for these devices and counting on them being delivered. They still have not changed the description of this part, this is what I consider the "old bait and switch" this company should have honored what I ordered, fixed the glitch in their system and went on with their business. But instead they offered a return due to not having the inventory available, look it up on their website and they show how many they have in stock and it would be enough to complete my order... Fed up with dishonest companies that don;t understand that when you order something, you are counting on them to fulfill your order, just as they depend on you to pay for your order. This really grinds my gears...

What this company just stated in the reply is still false, they changed the per package to per each after I pointed this out to them. I took screenshots of this and they had 2 different part #'s 1 per each and 1 per package (package in the description indicates 5 pieces per package). You had it advertised as 5 pieces and then after you found out the mistake you update your website accordingly, but still misrepresented your fulfillment to the order already placed SMH... That is a bait and switch. And instead of being upfront about it they just didn't even bother informing me after several "product specialists and managers reviewed the order and my complaint and decided not to call me back and I had to call asking where the rest of my order was that they said was going to ship out in full... Do not recommend this company whatsoever.

Your issue should have been addressed immediately when it first arose. I don’t know why this did not occur.

The initial reply you received from someone here was incorrect. Had they contacted our product specialists they would have provided the correct answer.

Panduit does use a packaging size identification suffix to identify their small package and large package put ups but he product itself is priced and sold Per Each not Per Package.

With regard to the product you purchased, PSL-CBNT calls out this product put up as 1 lockout per package. PSB-CBNT-V calls out this product put up as 5 lockouts per package at a discounted per lockout price due to the higher quantity per package.
As shown on our web site, both are priced/sold “Per Each” not “Per Package”.

Our web site product description does not include any reference to a quantity or packaging.
If you are referring to the “Supplier Standard Pack” entry in the “Specs” block which shows a quantity of 5, this only identifies Panduit’s standard quantity per package.
As shown in the definition available by clicking on the associated icon:

“This information is provided for customers who prefer to buy in multiples of the Manufacturer’s Standard Package Quantity. Minimum Order Quantities and Required Order Multiples are presented with our price and availability information.”

As you mentioned – your need was for 80 (16 x 5) which we do not have in stock currently. Per our RMA department you agreed to accept a FULL refund for the misunderstanding.

If it’s any consolation when we did a search on findchips.com we found that our pricing is in-line and also lower than the majority of our competitors who sell at the “per each” price for the same part: http://www.findchips.com/search/PSL-CBNT-V.
Purchasing 80 total pieces at other distributors would have cost more than if ordered from us, if you were able to accept a backorder.

We again deeply apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused and we hope you will consider us again in the future.

OK until you need to reach out to support.

We purchased from onlinecomponents a few times over the past couple years when stock was unavailable from our primary vendors. Pricing was always good and we had no issues up until they shipped the wrong part for an order of terminal blocks. Gave them a call to start the RMA process and provided the reason for return over the phone. Received an automated email a short time later asking for more information. Even though I had already shared this information over the phone, I took the additional step of sending pictures of the incorrect parts they had shipped and also a picture of the part that should have been shipped. We halted production thinking they would get us the correct part immediately. A week later I received an email apologizing for the delay and was reassured they would get to it soon. We are now three weeks out and they are totally unresponsive. Multiple attempts on our end have been made to push things along. Pretty clear that customer support is not a priority. We aren't a big customer by any means (maybe 5K in parts over the past two years), but we certainly won't be risking another purchase with these folks.
