I visited beautiful Vietnam in May 2025. Trinh Sy is one of the reasons why I have rated the tour so high. It was such a a pleasure to interact with him every day and listen to the information he was sharing being history/culture/current events/warm & welcoming Vietnamese people/food etc - anything and everything thing about the country. His stories about his family and growing up was very humble and interesting. He kept us safe throughout the tour and ensured that we crossed the land border into Cambodia without any issues. I loved his enthusiasm and great sense of humour too. His passion for his country shined through and I could tell Sy really loves enjoys what he does.

I am currently on the 7 day Wonders of Ancient Greece tour with my daughter. At the end we will island hop for five days before returning to England. For some unknown reason, On The Go Tours in the UK have booked us a hotel in Athens at well over £100 a night for our additional 5 days. We never wanted nor requested they do this, nor did they confirm or message us about this. I paid their final invoice of £900 in good faith, not suspecting what it was all about.
On The Go Tours have confirmed this money has been paid to the hotel and say they will not make good their error and pay my money back. They have suggested I make an insurance claim with a supporting letter from them. I am fairly certain insurance companies don’t cover the incompetence shown by others. I suspect ATOL would be very interested in their lack of duty of care to their customers and malpractice.
Generally we are enjoying the holiday. What a shame to have this hanging over us ☹️
Update!
On The Go Tours have finally responded to my post saying they are sincerely sorry to note my disappointment. This is an extraordinary denial of culpability. They charged me £950 for accommodation I never asked for. At no point have they taken any responsibility for this, offered to do anything to make good their mistake or even apologised. Luckily, I was able to recover my money through my credit card without any trouble at all. A deeply disappointing holiday experience!

Trinh Sy was very knowledgeable of all the questions we had about Vietnam! His English is easy to understand and he provided a fantastic service. Highly recommend him 😃

Don't Book with Them!!! Be wary of your tour broker being the front for this company. Just got back from 6 day tour of Poland.
Worst company ever -worst "tour" ever....Will avoid them like the plague....Staff provide scripted unhelpful and conflicting answers. For most part, company (through other tour operators so no accountability) only provided accommodation and most transport -all "tours" were basically optional for an additional charge and noted afterwards that they weren't worth the price; numerous guides spoke poor english but were friendly; our tour "leader" stranded our group (he was from yet another company) - we got to hotel in Gdansk and hotel was full and did not have our reservation. Tour leader (who was not with us) did nothing to assist as he wasn't there. On last day again we were stranded -no tour guide- no one provided info about departure/hotel to airport transportation. Only reason for me to go to Poland (using Tourhub and Onthego Tours) in first place was to tour Auschwitz but I was told I had to book it once I got to Krakow -that was a lie, as others had prebooked it and paid for it - I had tried to book it beforehand (months before) and was initially told I was confirmed to go, only to find out a few weeks before that Auschwitz was full and I couldn't go...I managed to get a tour from a private company (which was excellent) but found out the night before that Tourhub/OntheGo tour required us to catch a train in the afternoon (before I would be back from visiting Auschwitz) so company saved the price of a train ticket as they knew in advance I was not going, but refused to pay for my same price train ticket for me to rejoin the tour group in Warsaw, later that evening. Again the tour leader did nothing to assist me -I asked for his help in navigating/understanding the rail system and he simply told me to go online. Tourhub appears to be a broker, and thus we dealt with atleast 4 different "tour" companies, one of them being OntheGo Tours and it seemed none of them talked to each other or coordinated well their activities and our well-being. Details on the tour were sporadic and handed out too late during the actual tour for us to plan and enjoy our visit. Clearly if we had more details about the optional tours we would not have done them -they were boring. Loved Poland but would not book with this tour broker again.

The wealth of knowledge from our guide Sy. The extra lengths that our guide & ON The Go tours went to after a broken leg in Hoi An. Fantastic trip & tour. Great insights & information into how Vietnam works, along with all the great & best places to visit on tour off days.

Simply an unforgettable experience! Our guide Hung, showed us so many fabulous sights and his knowledge and love for Vietnam was incredible. The tour was so well organised, the group was great and lifetime friendships were formed and so many wonderful memories made. Couldn’t recommend this company highly enough! Loved every minute of this trip and can’t wait for the next one!

My recent trip to Vietnam was the best holiday I’ve ever had. I had so much fun, the tour was a non-stop adventure from start to finish. Our tour was brilliant, very knowledgeable and funny too. We were so well looked after, every detail was taken care of. The food was fantastic and the accommodation too. The highlights of the trip for me were junk boat overnight cruise of Halong Bay, rickshaw ride around the Hanoi markets, Cu Chi Tunnels, Hoi An and more. I loved the Vietnamese iced coffees and the people I met on the tour became like family after sharing some incredible experiences together over 2 weeks travelling. Vietnam is a wonderful, vibrant, colourful place and the people are very friendly and hospitable with great sense of humour. I can’t wait to come back again and I will definitely recommend Sy and On The Go Tours.

The tour itinerary certainly allowed us to cover a vast amount of tourist attractions but still allowed us time to ourselves to see some places independently or just chill out.
Our guide Trinh Sy, was amazing and always kept us safe, well informed and on track.
His versatility was tested on more than one occasion with unpredictable events along our journey.

Sy is the best tour guide ever very knowledgeable and helpful
Tour was very busy time enjoyed it

I recommend this tour, Sy was a very helpful and informative guide. We saw many different and interesting things and while we were often “on the go” we also had some relaxing time at leisure. It would have been difficult to have the same variety of experiences without being on this tour. From big cities, to cycling through rice paddies, there was a great range of activities. Ha Long bay was a highlight, among many positive experiences.

We had a great guide that gave us huge knowledge of the culture and history of the country. Action packed 7 days managed to see a lot. Way above expectations well done “On the go Tours”🙌👏

I would not recommend the On the Go Tours Buddha and Beach tour of Sri Lanka. This is advertised as a 12 day tour. The first part of the tour was as advertised and was well conducted and enjoyable, but the final 5 nights of the tour are not part of a tour at all. The first of these 5 nights is another night in Colombo which is superfluous and unsupervised. You are virtually dumped at the Sofia Hotel where you spent the first night of the tour. You do not need another night there. The advertising material also asserts, or at least implies, in either case quite misleadingly, that the final 4 nights and days are situated at, or in the vicinity of, Bentota and Beruwala. In fact, the accommodation is at a hotel known as the Blue Water resort which is situated at a place called Wadduwa. Wadduwa is about 20 kilometres from Beruwala and nearly 28 kilometres from Bentota. While there are attractions at Beruwala and Bentota, and indeed suitable accommodation there (so why not stay there?), there is nothing at Wadduwa except traffic. The beach there was closed due to the rough sea. The Blue Water resort, while comfortable, is essentially a boring resort. The road between Wadduwa and Beruwa and Bentota is, as is characteristic in Sri Lanka, busy, slow and at times dangerous. All transport from the Blue Water resort is at your own expense. The last 5 nights was an extremely disappointing conclusion to an otherwise enjoyable trip.

We used on the go tours for a trip to China. All our guides - Snow, Rebecca, Hank and Tony were punctual, courteous, well informed, friendly and personable. Our hotels were all to a good standard. It was a fabulous holiday and made special by our allocated guides.

11day tour of Italy, hotel preferences grungy- rooms with stained carpets, food cold, expensive and inedible. Tour guide didn’t wait for everyone, if you weren’t an athlete you were left behind. Really disappointed after paying nearly $9,000 for 11 days, which didn’t include flights or transfers

Totally Morocco was a wonderful experience. Our main tour guide was knowledgeable and experienced, and every local guide was superb. Enjoyed exploring the different areas, learning about the history and culture, and trekking through the desert on a camel. As noted in another entry, it would have been nice to have more food options than the daily diet of tangine and coucous. This was my second trip with On The Go Tours and I would go again.

We had a fabulous tour guide in Hanoi - Hung Do! He was a wealth of knowledge! He taught us so much, gave many excellent recommendations and was heaps of fun to be around! Hung altered our itinerary to suit us, adding our special requests. The flexibility made the experience so much better!
We had a fabulous tour guide in Saigon - Ben. He also gave much flexibility by adding and swapping things around! He was so much fun!
