The virtual Receptionist is a great asset. Gone are the annoying telemarketers. And, it is not annoying like some companies phone systems for customers to navigate. My biggest confusion was with the phone numbers and extensions, but I got it worked out. Also, a little clarification about the service, such as, needing a phone modem for regular analog phones. Hence I gave 4 stars not 5. Otherwise, the service has been great, so far.

Overall the service is great - and I like that I can move, add staff, and change phones easily from the admin desk. Adding the texting feature without having to call or chat would be ideal.

Easy, smooth, clean, quick. The only reason I took away a star is because they hassled me about a Privacy/SMS policy but beyond that they were great.

Impossible to cancel. They have a place on your account on line to cancel but you cant do it online. I called the service number they told me to call, but they couldnt help me. Told me to call back on Monday. Also, you can't edit or remove your credit card information either. Its blocked from being editable even though there is a button to edit it.

Closed my account and 1 min later my old business was selling an adult dating site. A TOTAL BETRAYAL

After being jerked around by customer service for a few days trying to get my issues resolved, I gave up and canceled my service. They sure make it hard to cancel. If they had tried even half as hard to fix the problems I would still be there. They seem to want to jerk you around for a few hours before they finally escalate the issue up the ladder.

Their internet service was not reliable in our area. I wanted to cancel but they pressured me to try other internet services and retain their phones. Could not find another reliable internet service so tried to cancel the phone service. Now they want to charge me for the whole year as well as the value of the rented phones. They will not take the phones back and I have no use for them. In addition, they want $125 apiece for the phones which I found the exact same phone on Amazon for $50. They keep trying to sell me apps which I do not think will work as our internet service is poor. We have not been able to use the service at all so I do not feel like I should be locked into a contract. They have been so frustrating to work with. Each person I talk to repeats the same thing over and over and over. It is very hard not to get angry or rude when talking to them.

I have been with Ooma for 12 years. I subscribe to the premiere service. The reason I liked Ooma was that my voice messages were sent to me by email and a text message. That has stopped working. After spending an hour on the phone with Ooma, they said they will get back to me. I see here that other people have experienced the same thing.

Ooma depends on the internet so sometimes the call quality is meh. The reason I stuck with Ooma for 10+ years was for the voicemail call forwarding to email. Well today that stopped working for me. Voicemail goes into the machine and account, but no more forwarding to email. Level 2 "elite" technical support was no help in fixing my problem and knew nothing more than I did to troubleshoot. 2 of my banks no longer accept VOIP numbers for verification so it's time to get a cell phone. I pay 200$ plus per year for Ooma premier, I can get a nice cell phone for that. UPDATE: My voicemails finally did go to gmail, but 7 hours after they were made. Ooma tech team needs to fix this. 7 hour delay is unacceptable. They only took less than 5 minutes previously. This seems to be NEW for April 2026. Perhaps Ooma is trying to save $ and
hopes no one will notice a 7 hour time delay now.

The system is fairly acceptable but the customer service is very poor
Beside the fact that when you call, the reps are answering from some places in the world, they can't solve anything
Emails are useless
Also, when you end the contract, if the phone sets are rented, you have to pay the shipment cost to return them and it's not cheap

Absolutely ridiculous!! I canceled my line many months ago. Today I found out they've been charging my card and want $180 to cancel my line for my business, which I've never really been able to use. My login stopped working to even access my account. To cancel you must verbally request the cancelation and then hope and pray it takes place. I even offered to pay $60 today to cancel and not request a refund from September. I have not recipient calls or used it. Not once. I was told that they would not accept it and my service will keep adding up until I pay the "past due balance" to receive my cancelation. This feels like extortion. I couldn't be more upset. Not only is this an awful way of doing business, but also you're going to hold my subscription hostage. Never again! You've done so much damage to my business.

They were not able to fix the problem with changing the password on an account for computer logon. They just created a new extension which does not solve the problem with the person logging on to their station
