Not impressed.

I was under the impression, wrongly it seems, that Opodo Prime was similar to Amazon Prime and that I got free streaming, music and postage. I realised too late that it only gets me discounts on Flights, hotels and car hire. I already have five trips booked up to the end of 2026 and therefore Opodo Prime will not be of any benefit to me until early 2027 if indeed i book anything then. I wanted to cancel and my initial Free Trial period did not expire until 23rd April, so I should have been allowed to cancel anyway as technically I am still within the Free Trial period. I rang, but was not allowed to cancel. Not impressed at all.

Excellent Experience

The whole process was easy the guy who met us at the airport was really nice and helpful and the transfer to the rental site was again really quick and the driver was lovely
The process of collecting the car was easy explained everything we needed to know and we were away in really good time
When it come to returning the vehicle again really straightforward everything was done really quickly and we’re at the airport in really good time overall couldn’t fault the company in any way

Started badly and only got worse

I am an Opodo Prime member who paid a $60 fee specifically to be able to change flight dates. When I requested a date change, your team presented me with an offer of $162 in additional fees which was the price difference WITHOUT Opodo Prime benefits. I felt cheated, but didn't have choice and still explicitly accepted in writing via your VIP chat "Ok, I accept to change the flight" and "to pay, use the same credit card."
Your agent confirmed: "I've forwarded the note to our team and they'll work on the change right away" and confirmed the new ticket would be sent to my new email and charged to my existing card. I asked twice to confirm and received "That's right" and "That's correct" in response.
This is a written contractual agreement.
I received nothing for over 24 hours, had to call back to make sure it was right, reconfirm my email, and was kept on hold for over 40 minutes. I paid $140 in international call fees from Spain trying to resolve this, eventually got told i will get my new flight in the next hours.
another 24h+ pass, nothing on my email address.
I recontact the VIP chat and a different agent then inform me the request is "closed" because original flight is departed and "changes are only possible over the phone" despite the fact that it was YOUR OWN chat agent who processed and validated the entire agreement in writing.
My expected new flight is in less than 48 hours. I just called to speak to a manager and was left on hold for 1h15 before hanging up.
I have screenshots of every single exchange, have now sent a formal mise en demeure and will 100% be filing with the Médiateur du Tourisme et du Voyage and the DGCCRF if opodo is not takig its responsabilities today.

Bait-and-switch artificial pricing to get your data and harass you later

Allows you to go through the entire purchasing experience with an artificially low price, taking all your data in the process to harass you later. Then when you reach the final stage, it actually checks the price with the airline and tells you the truth with an easy "buy now" button, hoping you'll give in after making an investment of time and effort. A kind of bait and switch. Dodgy as hell.

In my case an Aer Lingus flight magically doubled in price at the last minute. Obviously I'd rather have the flight direct from the airline if it costs the same, so I did that. But then I also get the "finish your purchase" email I never asked for.

Why not check the real price at the start, Opodo? Or more regularly behind the scenes?

Despite my last review and OPodo asking for details via Trust Pilot they have still not responded to me 7 days later!
Do not use OPodo/ Edreams/ Travel Fusion…all same group
