Cute umbrella but mine leaks like a sieve in moderate rain. Super disappointed given the price and the claims of high quality

Less than I anticipated - some of the supporting spurs are plastic, and the parts that are metal are thin and flimsy. Not convinced it will last long in the UK weather, but I appreciate the sustainability initiatives and really loved the unique look. However, for the price it is not worth it.

These umbrellas look adorable but they are quite heavy. I don't often use an umbrella but mine broke after one or two uses- one of the little metal pieces snapped. It is now completely unusable. The company does not offer repairs so I have to buy a new umbrella. It's hard to see how they can claim to be sustainable with this business model. Product needs to be made to last and/or repairs need to be offered. I would even pay to get my umbrella repaired.

Prompt shipping (ordered Saturday, dispatched Monday, received Tuesday!!!), wonderful customer service, and beautiful umbrellas! I ordered the Forest green duckhead umbrella and the Magenta daily umbrella. Both gorgeous and functional (and a very Christmas-y pairing)! Love ODH.

I recently purchased an umbrella from Original Duckhead, attracted by its cute and sustainable design. However, my experience was mixed. While the aesthetics were charming, the durability left something to be desired. After a few uses, parts of the umbrella gave way, disappointing me considering the price. Additionally, the delivery process was not smooth, with delays and communication issues. Overall, while there are some positives, the product didn't fully meet my expectations for sturdiness and service reliability.

What a team. What an umbrella. I bought three umbrellas, one for my wife, one for my mother-in-law and one for my mother. They all absolutely love their gifts. Additionally. Not only do I have three happy recipients, but when something was amiss with the delivery of one of the umbrellas, the customer service team were world class and so very supportive. I really can’t recommend Original Duckhead enough.

Had it for a couple weeks and bar part broke when I opened it to use . Sad because I was hoping at the price it would last longer

The umbrellas are super cute and I love that they're sustainable but it just isn't sturdy enough to be worth the money. I bought mine just a few months ago and the shaft bent in the wind. Whilst trying to wrestle it closed the head then snapped off too. The beak had chipped prior to this despite me always being gentle with it. Disappointed to see the warranty doesn't seem to cover anything, but equally I don't think I want a replacement- if it can't withstand some wind in June I'd stand no chance in winter! I'll be sticking to Fulton from now on.

I'm trying to reduce my impact on the environment and wanted a sustainable umbrella that would last me a while. my housemate had a second hand odh umbrella and I thought it was cute so I bought one.
when it arrived I was surprised to see it had clear plastic on the ends/joints, which imo made it look a bit cheap - i thought metal or wood might make it look better though I appreciate the plastic makes the umbrella lighter. as the plastic is (hopefully?) recycled I didn't mind too much.
also, the head/handle wobbles which makes it feel not very sturdy.

so the next bit is kind of on me. soon after unwrapping it, I dropped the umbrella (I have nervous tremors) and it landed on its head on the floor. immediately a bit of the beak cracked off revealing the wood underneath. I was sitting on the floor so it dropped from a height of 30cm max. crushing!! I dropped it again a few days later, this time on the pavement, and more of the beak enamel came off. now it looks old and used when I've used it once.
I honestly expected better quality. I feel like if there is an item that is going to be used frequently and often when slippery and wet, it needs to have a high level of durability.

in terms of functionality, it's okay. the one time I've used it has been relatively windy and it does flip inside out really easily, which isn't necessarily a bad thing as the flexibility makes it more durable (?). the handle could be bigger - I don't have large hands but after a few minutes they started to cramp from how they were wrapped around the duck head. I think the stalk could be longer to rest the umbrella more comfortably against your shoulder, and also the shape could be more convex as I found I was still getting quite wet under the umbrella when the rain was coming from an angle. the button I think should be in streamline with the handle as it is easy to trigger it - my housemate has had the head pop up from their bag as something has pushed against the button, especially on packed public transport.
however, none of these things would bother me as much if the beak wasn't cracked and the handle wasn't wobbly.

a couple pros is that it is really cute and dries REALLY fast - I just wish it was more resilient!

I love the sustainability focused company mission and the use of recycled materials, finally a brand providing a real solution to the issue of waste in the umbrella industry! I love the marketing too!!

What an umbrella! Love the design and colours. Makes me feel chic and unique. But unfortunately my mum stole it from me so ordering another one again.

This umbrella is like a superhero in the rain - reliable, sturdy, and always there when you need it as it's compact enough to fit in my bag but opens up to cover enough. 5 stars for the cool design. 🤘

I cannot express how much I love my umbrella! Living in London a good quality umbrella is a MUST! I have received a lot of compliments as well, such a well made and unique design, I always remember my umbrella when I'm out and about (I used to have a habit of losing mine!)

I had such high expectations for this umbrella. I instantly fell in love with the design. As a design student I invested in purchasing one of these to last me a life time. The first one I bought was of bad quality. It broke in the wind after a few uses. Then, because I loved the umbrella so much, and I thought that potentially it was just the one I bought was faulty - I paid again to buy an exact replacement for the first one. The second one I bought to replace the first one immediately broke upon opening the umbrella and was I was not even able to use it once. It was even of worse quality than the first one. I was very upset because I paid to replace the original umbrella and I didn’t even get to use the second one once. I do not recommend this product even though the design is cute. I expected an umbrella of this price (that I bought twice) to do its job and at least protect me in the rain. It failed to do so.

I bought one of your umbrella in a store in Paris and a part of it snapped during the same week ! Very dissapointed, it was not a windy day and I expected a good and strong umbrella for the price I paid...
