Selling Shein quality clothing but for way more money. I bought a dress and the material is so cheap and poor quality, and looks nothing like the picture. So I emailed customer services regarding returning the item and getting a refund, they only offered me 15% of my money back!! DONT order from this company!!

Very disapointet

After reading some of the reviews here and considering the poor overall score of this UK based company, I decided not to buy the coat I wished to buy (Navy Classic Fit Original And Authentic Duffle Coat With Wooden Toggles) from them.

CONSEQUENTLY, it was meant to go for an alternative that, after all, seems a better overall choice. In my eyes, better looking and similar polyester content (Not a 100% Wool content, like the original, but a Wool blend/mix, all common with most garments sold nowadays) comparable to theirs. Moreover, at a much lower price with the otherwise popular original.

Furthermore, since I would have been, not a local, but an international buyer from Greece, I did not want to risk potentially get into any over the phone hustle with them and additionally maybe finally risk losing my money AS IT HAS HAPPENED ALREADY with other companies, and some described & were the case with this company, on their overall negative review.

Apparently, organizations that deliver a similar negative experience to the customer, has become the norm putting the customer on unnecessary stress and disappointment. This is also not by accident!

Before rushing to judge what I am suggesting on my reviews, which are totally based on my real life extensive experience with most companies, if not all, consider that actually "NEW WORLD ORDER", is real and has been and is taking place!

It is unbelievable, since in the long-run it is also destructive for those participating, as most are part of it and partly this is what it is truly about; Crappy/disrespectful attitudes, nasty behaviors and truly overall get lower quality for more money.

After closely listening, and now additionally taking into consideration what "crazy" ideas have being suggested, early on, when played it on the REVERSE/"BACKWARDS" (in an unorthodox manner), the still popular "Hotel California" by Eagles, I can understand to an extent why they keep moving obscurely on the same direction with such mindless & unethical/mean/totally illegal, to say the least, undertakings.

Furthermore, we are truly living the "Global VILLAGE" era (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) - uncouth, course, invasive, unfair, rude, overly aggressive & overall disrespectful demeanor.

They all, are not conspiracy THEORIES, after all! Everything is very REAL, mainly because events are not a coincidence at such an intensity and repeatedly executed (pattern) also meant to destruct one's piece of mind, aiming to deviously push one over the edge and sooner or latter comply with suggested mental and ethical deterioration.

For the rear someone that resists them, they deviously and constantly aim to push him/her over, as it is impossible finally, for the very least, not lose temper, if wish not to comply, since it is necessary to constantly/unnaturally have to resit the devious/staged invasions camouflaged in one's daily activities.

Moreover, this is also part of their "game". Keep you on the edge and also increase the likelihood for you to take the wrong step. Then comes punishment, delivered by them again, the facilitators - NOT TRUE GOD - aiming to turn you to a truly mean person.

If one is successful, not to misinterpret what is happening and internalize the meanness from the others constantly delivered in various ways, then the very least, this rear someone targeted by everyBODY on the network, is always, on top, under extreme physiological pressure where piece of mind, for the very least, is completely vanished. However, this rare someone still needs to remain fair & kind to others in his/her life (people,animals/pets and nature in general) and not pass down the aggression and unfair behavior passed down to him by everyBODY in the network.

Furthermore, most cannot undertake nothing close to the pressure described above, and there you go, with all those that have already fallen (similarly ;) with the fallen Angel - Devil), & the DECADENCE of societies is, apparently, evident all across the Globe, and is not only promoted by TV.

This insincere, invasive/ overly aggressive, course, win-lose mentality, unfair, ungentle/low class bearing/demeanor of the individuals is evident on every conduct one has with any entity on every field of life.

Apparently, it is actualized deviously, selectively delivered and from every angle imaginable.All that are not made by accident, it is a pattern, they methodically, customize their approach and constantly (like maniacs) deliver all synchronized acting on their assigned role in the network, what they have in menu for the victim, especially to the unaware. The more you resit, the more they intensify their devious synchronized methodical "attacks", always stuck to their sick agendas.

Unfortunately, apparently, ALL THAT, are REAL!

A bizarre website.

The website, for years, it seems, has had incorrect sizes shown - a complaint from many people. When I asked support what size I should get based on my chest size, they didn't know the numbers for their garments. This to me sounds like support was outsourced to a cheap overseas company, however I could be wrong. While I appreciate that each item of clothing will have variations, there should be a rough idea to garment sizes and any wild fluctuations in my opinion would be an indicator of poor workmanship.

Original Montgomery support said to me to measure an existing coat as opposed to going off of the measurements on the website, when I referenced the model's height being 5ft 11" and me not being far off that. This is nonsensical. How am I supposed to know what the OM coat would be like until purchasing? They also said: "the pictures on the website could be wrong as they might be a few years old". Yes, they said that. I, stupidly went from the website measurements.

The medium size coat I ordered was a 38 inch chest... way off the website's numbers (that haven't been updated in forever). I sent it back at my own cost (just over £6) but support was good and immediately issued a refund when a large wasn't available for exchange (no return cost refund though) - it took about a week for them to process the return.

I missed out on the sale because of the daft, misleading sizing and delays to processing, but support was as helpful as they could be.

I ordered a used OM coat from Ebay and sadly that coat has half-length arms/sleeves.

I give up with Original Montgomery. Their website is terrible. Their website is also poorly designed (especially for desktop). Their sizing is all wrong. It just seems impossible to buy a coat from these guys... and I'm now never going to consider buying one of their coats at full cost because they can't be trusted.

Don’t go near this company, size chart is useless - no exchanges, no refunds. Brand new coat now in a charity shop.

I ordered a duffle coat and a jumper. Both of these items were of lovely quality and the duffle coat was especially well made and very thick and sumptuous. Unfortunately I decided that both weren't a great fit for me so I returned them. I've just had an email saying the refund is being processed. A bit disappointed since I loved the coat but I think the large was a little too big and I think a medium would be too small. If I'd been in a shop I'd have tried the medium on but with having to pay for returns I couldn't justify ordering medium. Perhaps I should have ordered both to start with!?

It's a beautifully cut coat that looks like it will last. I ordered it during Christmas, so it took a bit longer to arrive, but that is understandable. When I contacted customer service, they responded immediately, and I got my coat in a few days.

It is tragic that a British Company proudly flying the flag of being made in the UK, which produce an excellently made product, give such a dreadful customer experience.

I purchased a duffle coat for my wife, for Christmas that unfortunately was too small. On the website it gives a link for a returns form which when you try to access, there is a message saying the page no longer exists or has moved. The contact us section of the website gives a proforma linked to sales for contact with the company. I have sent 3 emails without any response from original Montgomery. I appreciate it is over the XMas period but would have expected a response in the intervening gap between Xmas and New Year.

Next I have tried to find a phone number as sending a £225 coat back without being completely clear of the process is a little anxiety provoking. No phone number on website!!

As a customer from the United States, I think Original Montgomery makes great coats (despite being a little thin on the fabric), so this review has two stars instead of one. They aren't getting three more stars from me because of the way they handle things in customer service---or whatever resembles it.

Earlier in June 2024, I ordered and received a duffle coat from the company, and while I thought its quality was quite good, I found that the coat was one size too big. So I contacted them and asked if I could send it back for a refund and order a different size through a new e-mail address (since I wanted to switch e-mail handles for personal reasons, and customer service said it was not possible to change it through the site). They were happy to send me a shipping label, and I was able to get my return shipped off promptly. It was delivered to their processing center mere days after that.

But this is the worrisome part. Original Montgomery didn't refund me the cost of the coat for over a month, and neither did they send me any e-mails confirming that they got my return. It was only when I sent a follow-up e-mail on July 23 and heard back from them two days later that I received confirmation of the return and a notification of my refund.

I had hoped for more punctual and attentive service from a company that sells expensive clothing, but since I was kept in the dark for much of the 38 days between my reaching out to them about returning the item and the notification of the refund, I am disappointed at the state of returns-related customer service of this business as I experienced it.

Until Original Montgomery steps their game up here, I don't think I'll be ordering anything from them anytime soon, let alone that smaller size.

Ok gentlemen please read carefully, if you want to score mega and I mean MEGA brownie points purchase you beloved a Duffle from Montgomery. My lady is over the moon with her Montgomery Duffle (mustard) . The fit is perfect,the quality amazing lots of amazing little features. Classic design yet very stylish my darling looks a million dollars. Delivery was very fast and perfect packaged . Extremely happy customer. Thanks

there is no customer service, they ignore your emails and keep sending the same order confirmation email everytime you try to receive some updates from them
Terrible experience

Please be aware of this company they are extremely slow and pushy.
Only recently did I purchase two coats, but unfortunately both didn’t fit, the coats are in the same condition sent to me, however this company (even after sending a video) at their request I am being pushed to accept an exchange when all of my communication has been clear that I want a refund.
If this is not resolved I will be contacting trading standard!

Purchased coat a few years back, and through natural wear and tear (and the tough life i put it through) one of the rope toggles started to fray. I emailed the company to consider a repair, and they offered to send me the rope toggle for free! Fantastic after sales care is something i have not experienced for a while! Might just buy another coat out of satisfaction!

Receive the duffle coat 3 days after ordering. Very happy with the quality of the coat and the speedy delivery.

Superb Service and Fast Delivery. Duffle true to size and well made. So pleased i ordered another in different colour. Great everyday coats, pair with scarf, cosy and warm. Highly recommend.

Ordered my second duffle coat classic fit brown. Came five days later, so I've never had any problems with Original Montgomery. My first duffle coat is 8 years old now and still looks brand new.

If you return an item that you bought online, the seller must refund your original postage.

Original-montgomery keeps your delivery charge until you ask for it.

Then they act like they are doing you a favour by refunding you.

They are not.

This legal right comes from Regulation 34(2) of the Consumer Contracts Regulations.

Sent the item back on 28th Dec as return, emailed a few days back regarding when to expect my refund as duffle coat was bought as a Xmas present but the size is wrong, haven't heard anything back and I'm now expecting a nightmare getting my money back. Dreadful service so far this was return GBP6722 order number.lf anyone from customer service reads this please shed some light on it

Great store, fabulous service

I bought my duffle coat a couple of years ago and have hardly worn it due to the material being heavy for a senior lady. Otherwise, it’s great quality but I can only wear it in very harsh weather.
