A short break with issues? They go away with this company
Wanting a short break in Budapest, we visited our local travel agent with our requirements.
They deal with Osprey so a call was made to them and our requirements passed over. Fortunately, their quote for what we wanted was far too high at over £6k (my expectations were too high, nothing to do with them). Their suggestion was for a different hotel which they assured was of equal if not higher quality that my choice but at just over £2.5k we took their advice.
Whilst it may have been slightly out of town compared to the other (about a 5 minute walk and on a tram route), it was worth the gamble.
Flights by Wizz Air were a problem (see my feedback on that fiasco) and a slight problem with the transfer back to the airport (covered in my feedback on Talixo) and the true value of dealing with them became apparent when we came home.
The hotel they recommended was, well, fabulous. There is no way my choice could have bettered the Aurea Ana Palace hotel suggested by Osprey. The hotel was 5* in every sense. Staff, accommodation, standard, food and bar excelled. We could not have had a better holiday and certainly will see us back if we head back to Budapest in the future.
Where Osprey really excelled on our behalf was some issues we had with Wizz Air and our return Taxi trip.
A 6 hour delay with lots of issues and a taxi driver who was happy to drive his vehicle at excessive speeds despite it having a longer than 1 meter crack in the windscreen.
Crambourne Travel and Osprey took on the matter and within 3 weeks I had a compensation payment of almost £700 deposited in my bank.
Reading feedback from folks who have had issues with Wizz Air after booking on-line, I thank my decision to do a package holiday with a company who really does support its customers.
More business coming their way from me in the future, you can't beat having confidence in your travel company.
