I made an error on my order but customer service changed it no problem. My dog is a bad scavenger, and he often gets the 3 am vomit session of something he ate earlier when he goes outside. This field guard is NOT RESTRICTIVE at all, and my dog drank water with it on no problem. I followed the instructions when we first put it on by putting treats in it and letting him put his head in first. He loves it and is not scared of it at all. He also doesn’t try to take it off compared to an actual muzzle wrapping around his snout. And I have no concerns that it will cause any harm, and it does come off east in case of emergencies unlike a muzzle.

I have a 70 pound pit mix with a longer snout, and he has a size large as he measured from head to snout about 12.5 inches.

I really like that the fabric has some structure to it, so it stays up off my dogs head giving lots of room to breathe, smell, bark and see. It's pretty lightweight so he doesn't seem to mind wearing all that much. I gave it 3 stars cause it does still slip off his head. I suspect if there were a few more collar loops that would be less likely to happen.

I appreciated getting my order only a couple days after ordering. The product works really well. My dog can sniff, pant, and drink water with it on. My corgi has upright ears and they fit fine in the medium size. I feel relieved that her scavenging days are behind us now.

Our use of this fantastic hood might be a little different than most. This has been the best solution for out little deaf bull terrier. She eats everything and has had 5 surgeries to remove blockages. We tried everything. She could always push things through uncomfortable muzzles. She now has the freedom to go outside again. This mesh hood keeps her from being able to get anything in her mouth to swallow it and she actually likes it. She comes to us to put it on for her. We call it her princess hat. No accidental ingestions since we got one. It has saved her life. Literally.

Super fast delivery! An excellent product we have been using for years. We go through 2 hoods per year with our Weimaraner that wears them every time we take him outside. He wears holes in the nose by sniffing the ground. I can usually stitch them closed a time or two before I use a new one. Worth every penny as we save money on vet bills.

We ordered 2 sizes for our 14-year-old Corgi, Ruby. Size medium and small. The small was perfect! Ruby was a naughty girl last year. She had 2 emergency surgeries to remove items that got stuck in her stomach and intestine. Corgis are greedy eaters and she managed to eat a pound of gravel (food was spilled on it) and a large palm nut that lodged in her small intestine. We cannot afford another surgery so we searched for a solution she would tolerate. Outfox is perfect! She looks a little scary walking down the street but she doesn’t mind it at all. Especially when we put a few little cookies in it first. Buy this.

It had a bad chemical smell when brand new and so I left it outside for a while to air out. I thought the smell would bother my dog a lot but she didn’t seem fazed. It works great to prevent my megaesophagus corgi from scavenging when at the horse barn or in the poultry yard. She doesn’t mind wearing it one bit.

Really pleased with this! I had low expectations, because my beagle hates things on her head (like a cone), but she’s loving this! Using this as a means to deter her from eating random “street treats” outside on our walks. The instructions for measuring for proper fit were easy to follow, and the small fits great for my female beagle. The instructions to put a treat in at the bottom definitely worked for my food motivated girl! Our veterinarian recommended this product. We’re very pleased.

Our dogs had no problems with wearing this product. After emergency Xmas day surgery on my 2 year old after he swallowed a huge acorn, these mask are a blessing for their safety while out in there walks, that they love.

I got the outfox field guard for my dog who is intent on eating the most disgusting stuff she can find in Central Park, New York City. I had stopped letting her off leash because she was getting into everything. I have used the outfox guard three times so far. She has accepted it fairly easily. She runs around and can even pick up sticks and balls. I hope this product will give her the freedom that she can still not handle at her relatively young age.
