Penrith location is not a safe space for LGBTQ+ youth. Prejudice and discriminatory instructors. I visited the Penrith location a few years ago and met an awful instructor named Tom. I was in the closet but most people could spot that I was gay. He took great delight in calling me "princess" and berating me in front of the rest of the cohort. Would help others when they asked for it, but if I needed help with the exact same thing I was called an idiot. Other instructors definitely observed this behaviour but chose to look the other way. Mental health hit a low point after my time there.

Outward bound is absolutely amazing...
My child went there with her school, she really enjoyed spending time there, doing all the activities they offer. They not only make activities fun and exciting, they teach the kids loads of interesting things about nature and the great outdoors, one of the amazing staff members was call Gary also known as Gazza. Gazza taught my daughter how to persevere through long hikes, he helped teach her mind of matter, how to keep a cool mind in difficult situations. My daughter has learnt so much from her week stay there. She's normally not a outdoors person but Gazza's worked his magic on her, she is now asking myself and the Mrs to go on nice long hikes, during some of our hikes she tells me about her adventures at outward bounds, I must say, I'm a little envious of her experience lol. Honestly, I would recommend this place to everyone, even city kids, the staff have a way of unnerving the kids, they teach the in a very calm and understanding way. I can't say enough about this place. But it's absolutely amazing and your child will love it, hopefully you guys will be lucky and have Gazza as one of your guilds.
Excellent outdoors experience for our young.
