Great app for saving your money and manage your finances. Easy to set up and use, with some interesting investment opportunities. A good choice also for beginners.

The app had some hiccups in the past as the transfers from the external account where temporarily suspended. However I am pleased to say that they are back! The app helped me to manage better my money, from saving to investments. I am looking forward to see what new investment products and futures they will add this year.

I am trying to get my money back from Oval, but I can't log in to the app to make the transfer. I have been trying to contact support, but their employee, Lorenzo, is not answering me! They have changed their business and I am not sure anymore if I will get my money back or not. I am desperate.
ps: They are answering us, very very very badly and slowly! See a great example in their reply down here!

I’v been waiting for my money transfer for more than 15 days, the support center is absolutely a joke for this company. There is also an airbnb refund that should’ve placed into my account by now, but no response from the support team. I just want to get all my money back and close my account. Stay away from them. Your money is not safe with them.
Worst customer service and managers ever.
Communication between managers and employees: absent.
Communication between employees and customers: absent.
For a banal mistake of miscommunication, my account got entirely blocked – I couldn't do anything. All this because an employee forgot to answer one of my emails and I had to pay the consequences.
The answer from the managers: you can use your account to save up money.
My answer: why do I have a bank account, then?
The manager (Mauro) tried to cover up for the mistakes of the other employees, unsuccessfully I would say. After many emails sent – especially one that was completely addressed to him –, he did not even care to answer personally, he just let one employee answer for him and take care of the situation. The other employees were simply able to bounce my emails between each other and answer 50% of the content. It's like they were reading a manual of "effective complaints answers" dated back to the 90s.
Mauro, Filippo, and Francesca – if this is the job of your lives, I suggest you start dealing with customers properly. Customers give you money and a salary, always be aware of it! If you treat customers this way, no one will ever want to deal with you.

Have been a user since day one, started as a simple moneybox, to save cents, now a growth platform offering interesting -but small- opportunities to invest.
For a college student/young professional, it's a good choice because of its constant massive support and educational content.
Be careful when investing, cause not always the opportunities are good, but they've consciously created a community around it, and that's very helpful.
Gone downhill. App is atrocious and not intuitive now. Simple task (withdraw money) used to be a piece of cake. Not anymore. needs constant support requests. App does not have option for middle name. Asked to upload ID, then refuses saying 'data does not match'. Support asked me to send ID manually then after he put my middle name in with the first name, asked me to do the dance again. I've cordially invited him to close my account.
p.s. tread with caution if asked to send ID documents manually to support. If you sent ID docs as a picture to support via app, every time they reply the ID docs are attached to their email. So you end up receiving what you thought you were sending securely via the app in your email account mailbox. I asked him not to attach my ID documents when he replies. This was not respected. Something may have been lost in (google) translation.
Poor experience.
I experience many problems in-app with missing funds.
Oval support told me
"Suddenly, we are solving an issue that affected few users as you."
Oval were unable to resolve the issue for over 3 weeks. Currently the issue is still unsolved and I am missing funds.
I would avoid Oval as when problems happen, and they will, support is unable to help.

They have £300 pounds belonging to me and are refusing to return the money. Avoid this company like the plague.

I downloaded Oval almost 2 years ago and trust me I say that they are the best saving and investment app on the market for non professional investors! I saved a good ammount and I'm getting every day more aware about financial markets and good financia habits! Strongly suggested for those who are not very confident with investments/savings/banks ecc.
My experience with Oval was really fine until they sold the company. It worked quite great, but as I invested in it I didn't like the way the selling was managed.
I have been using OVAL MONAEY for many months and it is simply spectacular !!! I recommend it to all the people who want to save money without noticing anything. Smart mechanism that works perfectly!
DO NOT SIGN UP! I started using Oval money a fair few months ago and everything was working well. I was saving a little then withdraw when I wanted to. No issues until the very last time. I was unable to withdraw due to the fact that they all of a sudden need me to upload my passport for identification. That in itself not the problem. Completely understand. The issue is, that they don't allow all passports to be uploaded (very limited in fact as I'm part of the EU) and therefore I wasn't able to complete this process and I don't have a driving license. Their solution to this problem was for me to email them a copy of my passport, which is probably the most unsecured way of dealing with this. I still don't have my money. They have no problem taking it from your bank account without your identification. They will tell you that this is the law! Lol surely by law they should not be able to take money from their customers if they aren't prepared to give it back.

Dire, a clumsy awkward interface, annoying messages and when I tried to take my money out was required to upload two forms of ID which were refused (A passport and a Drivers licence) forced to record a video so they can sell the facial recognition, then was refused. They took my money happily but wouldn't return it, multiple messages over 24 hours and nothing. Useless, incompetent, don't sign up and get out while you can this fin-tech is going nowhere at all.

The premise sounds good: helping you with your savings. However upon using Oval for a few days, things don't look so bright. The mobile app is incredibly confusing from a UX and UI standpoint, slow, cumbersome and doesn't give users better control over the deposits and withdrawals, forcing us to wait, on a weekly basis, for the direct debits to happen. Moreover, their costumer service is very inefficient and takes a very long time to reply.
At last, their referral bonus programme is a bit of a chore: they announce that "the bonus will be credited after at least 6 successful automatic transfers." yet one must do an automatic transfer every week for 6 weeks at least to get such a meagre bonus!
Overall a big disappointment.
