The ceramic plug snapped upon testing prior to final instalment. That didn't last as long as the 40-something year old plastic plug.

Now can actually see the road with Defender. Before didnt even have to change lights when somebody was coming towards me. Always looked like low beams. And low beams looked like faint candles. So pretty happy with it. Very easy to install as well. Cables should be maybe 5 cm longer, would make it easier.

Lights brighter and switch not getting hot.
Red live not crimped properly and would it be too much to make all the cables just a little longer?couldnt mount the relays as not long enough so had to tape them up.

Simply amazed at just how much difference this has made. Headlights are now really bright as they should be. Simple to fit and works really well. Worth bearing in mind that the light switch may also need replacing. By no means a fault of the Boomslang. My switch had a bit of play so needed to replace the switch too for the Boomslang to work. All in all a brilliant product that makes a massive difference and is simple to fit as per the clear instructions that come with it.

Easy to install. I did have to extend the battery positive cable though, but that is easily done. The hardest part was finding a decent earth connection (and even that wasn’t too hard!)

Wiring loom upgrade, the connection on the live feed wire I found to be a bit thin and cheap looking. It was pretty easy to install once you’ve decided on your routing. I did have to manufacture a bracket for the two relays to keep them tucked away in a dry place. Good points, it does what it’s supposed to and I now get 14.6 volts at the headlights when the engine is running where previously it was only 11.4. The headlights are now a lot brighter and less pressure on the switch.

Headlights decidedly brighter with this add on harness. It's very simple to fit, only small issue I had was finding decent accessible earth points on the vehicle. Well pleased!
