I just think that the value is not great, yet these are spares for a car which has been long discontinued.

Well, the original buffer is made from full rubber and has a center screw and nut. Both will be rusty after 49 years, but still... The new type (this one) has a sort of molded galvanised metal strip which contacts with the aluminium bonnet. That wil potential be a recept for more corrosion between the buffer and bonnet. The solution to overcome this issue is to made an insulator of dpc foil sprayed on both sides with, for example, ML. The cells in the DPC foil will be ensure the ML can't escape and will prevent corrosion between te aluminium and steel insert of the buffer.
