I spent a few weeks working night…

I spent a few weeks working night shifts at this organization and found myself having to request my pay weekly. Due to internal issues, a majority of us on the night shift were let go without receiving back pay. I, unfortunately, wasn't compensated for my final week. Upon reviewing my records on gov.uk, it became evident that PaleGreenDot hadn't listed me as an employee. The individual running this company engages in dishonest practices.

Stopped paying their office staff last…

Stopped paying their office staff last year 2021 while still trading now 2022 and as you can see below also drivers /factory workers do not work for any company run by Dray Simpson. Do a quick google of his name under trading city and also employment tribunals since he moved into food.

I worked in this company for several…

I worked in this company for several weeks (night shift), you had to ask for each week's wages. Due to problems with the company, most of the night shift workers were dismissed without being back paid. I personally did not receive payment for the entire last week of work, so after checking my account on gov.uk, I noticed that PaleGreenDot did not register me as an employee. The owner of this company, is just a thief and a fraud...

Quality produce

My daughter arrange for me to receive this fortnightly delivery of fruit and veg. The quality of the goods were top class.
Unfortunately after a few weeks we were informed that they no longer delivered in our area.
I hope that this will be rectified in the near future so that we can go back to receiving veg boxes again.

I can't praise Pale Green Dot highly…

I can't praise Pale Green Dot highly enough. I've been a customer since lockdown 1 and I've never been disappointed with their produce - always so fresh and a real variety of fruit and veg that changes regularly. Price-wise I think they are much better value than supermarkets, plus their produce lasts. What is more, their staff and delivery drivers are always helpful and polite. I have changed the whole way that I cook thanks to Pale Green Dot's regular supply of healthy, wholesome fruit and veg. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Pale Green Dot. I'm a very happy customer!

Still no refund

Still no refund ? You took payment for my box last Monday and then didn’t deliver it as you’ve changed your routes . I called a week ago and have still not been refunded . Very Dissapointed

Pale Green Dot cancelled my long…

Pale Green Dot cancelled my long standing subscription without notice. When I made a complaint about my missing delivery, I was told my address was now outside of their delivery zone. However on checking their website, it currently states they deliver to my area, this is appalling behaviour and I now regret recommending this business to my friends and colleagues. ...... I will obviously look for another vegetable delivery service that understands how to treat their loyal customers and recognises what good customer service is.

Apologies for this. Over the last month we’ve been struggling to recruit reliable & friendly drivers to complete our home delivery rounds.
A lack of drivers was severely impacting customer service and experience and so we took the difficult decision to reduce our delivery area to ensure we could provide a good service to these customers moving forwards. Unfortunately that has meant we’ve had to loose some longstanding customers which was the last thing we wanted.

With regards to the website we are updating the postcode filtration this weekend - we wanted to allow for any last minute requests from customers for any orders before we stop delivering from Monday 26th.

I wasn't overly impressed

I ordered the large veg box and the large fruit box. These are marked as suitable for 3-5 people for a week, but there simply wasn't enough of anything to make decent meals for my husband and myself, except beetroot... we were still eating beetroot 2 weeks later!! A few of the items (a satsuma and a potato) were already soft & inedible, and while I understand that happens I think PGD is a premium offering for these boxes and as such the quality was not what I expected.

Subscription cancelled with no notice

Previously left a positive review, the odd piece of poor quality but otherwise happy, however our subscription has suddenly been cancelled with no notice due to sudden changes meaning we're now outside their delivery zone - we were charged and waiting for our latest box, it was only on emailing that I found this out. Very disappointing.

We're very sorry to have had to make this sudden change to our delivery zones however like many other businesses we have struggled to fill driver vacancies due to a national shortage. This has created many operational challenges and over the last month we've had to reschedule or cancel many of our customers veg box orders so that we can focus on higher density delivery locations.

Customer services should have been in contact by email or phone to notify you that your subscription was going to be cancelled, we're very sorry that there was miscommunication on our behalf and they failed to do so.

The product quality was quite good

The product quality was quite good. Just we've got too much chilli pepper and I was expecting more fruits because it came just 4 pears, 1 Peach, 2 clementines and few apples. But carrots was beautiful and they tasted like carrots from grandma's garden, salad was beautiful. To be honest I probably will order once again the box but it will be not that often as I was expecting because for £26 it was a bit too less.

Despite being a subscriber and really…

Despite being a subscriber and really rating Pale Green Dot in the past, my experience of buying with Pale Green Dot was not great this time. Ordered as a present for someone for Saturday delivery and the box didn't turn up. Contacted the company and they apologised and gave me a refund and said they'd deliver it the next day. Still didn't arrive the next day. More emails, more assurances. The box was finally delivered on Thursday, 5 days late.

First of all it's great to know that you have been very pleased with Pale Green Dot in the past - we hope that this will continue into the future.

Apologies for the delay in coming back to you - we wanted to review what had gone wrong before responding. It appears that the original order, although processed through the website did not feed into the routing software so never appeared on the packing or distribution list.

We are working with our IT team and external software provider on why this delivery failed to pull through on multiple occasions to ensure that this doesn't happen again. We will ensure customer service monitors rescheduled deliveries more closely so that other customers don't have a similar experience.

I am a little disappointed that the…

I am a little disappointed that the vegetables delivered are not what my family enjoy. Aubergines, courgettes and fennel are not vegetables they will willingly eat, and the fruit although good, has been similar all the year. I am bored with oranges, apples and pears.

Is there any possibility that there could be a choice, maybe an online order the week before? Today I have given away about a third of my box, and so it has become an expensive way to shop.

Thanks for getting in touch. The vegetables you have listed are in season which is why they are in the veg boxes. We're not in a position yet to offer customers a choice of what goes into their boxes, also a lot of what customers like is the surprise element of what they are receiving.

Beautiful, Fresh British Veg

I have really enjoyed their veg boxes over the last year. They have introduced me to plenty of nice British seasonal vegetables that I wouldn't have thought of buying or seen in my local supermarket. I particularly loved those Tokyo Turnips!
