Terrible letting agent! Please Avoid!

I let my property through palmer snell and as a landlord who pays the full percentage for full management every month i expect a better service to which I have not been receiving.

Not only have they not been doing property checks (but blame Covid to this) for the past three years for this, but they have terrible contractors who never fix issues for the property (some of which say they are gas safe - but sign faults off as safe which are not)

They take your money, have a terrible and unprofessional workforce, the repairs team is part of countrywide who is separate from
The letting agent, which is a pain in the ass as nobody is ever held accountable.

I will not be using palmer snell again as I have ended up having to sort issues and faults myself as a landlord even though I pay for full management.

I genuinely feel sorry for my tenants, as countryside’s repair team are incompetent. I’ve put in several complaints that seem to go nowhere. And the fault still isn’t fixed from 12 months ago!!!!!

I could literally do a better job myself, as mentioned above where I’m having to sort Myself.

I will be Managing the property myself from now on!

Palmer snell are just brilliant in Well, they deserve 6cstars ******Somerset. Nothing is too much trouble at all. They listen, that's important, very very good.

Worse estate agents with a terrible landlord which they let get away with exploiting tenants. Go with someone else for your sake and money.

I recently rented a property through Palmer Snell in Christchurch. Andy Hill was very professional and really helpful in getting back to me quickly with answers to my queries.

I recently rented a flat with Palmer Snell in Bournemouth. Normally finding the right place and moving can be challenging. However, this was not the case with Palmer Snell. Kayleigh was fantastic from the start arranging the viewing considering my availability and making sure my move went smoothly. I would highly recommend this agency. Thank you:)

After using palmer snell to set up my accommodation for rental after a recommendation from a member of my family I couldn’t be more happier it was quick easy and un stressful thanks to Hayley and Oliver for helping me along the way and also handled everything with professionalism & left me feeling confident that it’s in safe hands

And they blatantly lie

Michelle at the Taunton branch has excellent customer service. She understood my circumstances and done everything she could to help me, remembering little important details. I didn’t end up securing anything due to other circumstances but would definitely go back to Michelle if needed in the future. Great job Michelle! If only everyone was like her 😃 thank you. Another Estate agent that will lose you 50k to 100k by selling undervalued properties! It appears that most Estate Agents in Weymouth are probably the worst in the country, they clearly do not understand the local market in particular Chickerell. They don’t do their homework and will lose your hard earned monies by giving your houses away!

What a pathetic experience we have had with Palmer Snell Westbourne. Avoid at all costs

All estate agents have a special place in hell, but Palmer Snell take the biscuit. They are disorganised, rude, and dishonest. Terrible communication if any, and a bad attitude from all staff. Avoid at all costs.

I saw a listing for a property in Martock on the Palmer Snell Martock web site. I saw it on there on Saturday and spent all of Saturday, most of Monday and this morning trying to get thru to them to ask some questions. Every time i get a recorded message saying that they are busy with a client - this included a call at 9.01am today.

If I were a seller, there is no way I would instruct this company, since they are either woefully understaffed or they basically dont give a s**t about selling your property.

As an aside there does not seem to be any way of contacting them by email - avoid at all costs

Palmer Snell - Taunton

I've had the misfortune to deal with Palmer Snell this week, and can hand on heart say they are the most rude estate agents I've come across. In-particular their manager James. Over the weekend a property came on the market, I wanted to arrange a viewing as soon as possible - a 395k detached house in Henlade.

I called five times over the whole of the day on Monday and the call went straight to answer phone except on the fifth time they picked up. There website does not have an email and I decided Monday to make an offer of 30k over the asking price for a house and area I know well. I asked for positive written confirmation that the offer had been given to the owners. With one consideration to see the property when I was available Tuesday or Wednesday to see the roof timbers.

The following day I did not get the confirmation. I asked for this by a 2nd email over right move (no office email on the website on an iphone). Upto this point I have sent 2 emails. I got a very rude answer phone message back saying I was bombarding them by emails. The fact is the manager had not given my offer to the seller (30k over asking price), they have been incredibly rude, and really unprofessionally unresponsive being uncontactable. Absolutely disgusting - I hope Palmer Snell look into their managers professionalism at this branch - the reason they have not provided written confirmation is really apparent.

Having sold my home, I would be absolutely livid paying thousands to Palmer Snell to not be presented that offer. I feel sorry for the seller, and I sure wouldn't be recommending them.

Palmer Snell in Taunton is an absolutely dreadful letting agent. When they are organising the contract ok, however when it comes to issues with the property such as heating not working leaks, water ingress, cooker not working and dangerous and many other issues, things DONT get dealt with.
Weeks without heating or hot water, nothing done repairs promised and don't happen.
Absolutely useless Letting agent

We found Palmer Snell lettings Canford HeathPoole to be very pushy wouldn't listen or seem to be interested in what we wanted and ignored simple instructions.
We viewed a property through them which we wanted for a buy to let, although we didn't actually buy that property we said they could manage the one we did buy. Even though we had said we would use them, they rang at least once a week to see how the purchase was going.
When the purchases was complete they viewed the property and we gave them clear instructions we didn't want it marketed until we had carried out some redecoration, they told us they couldn't market it until we had signed the lettings contact, so we didn't sign it.
They marketed it anyway, then told us that they had found someone who wanted to rent it who we didn't think was suitable and had appeared to have lied about their income, although this didn't seem to bother them. Later on they told us that she wanted to move in on the 26th, when I had already told them it wasn't going to be possible.
It now had got to the point where it was starting to get stressful the phone calls were once or more a day along with emails asking us to sign the contract and trying to hurry us along. We decided we no longer wanted to use them which I told them and retrieved the key.
The house is now complete and we put it with another lettings company.
Palmer Snell must have realised this because I got a phone call from one of their staff who came across as being very angry, he kept asking me questions and when I tried to answer he kept interrupting, in the end I let him have his rant, lasted about a minute and then hung up on him.

Avoid at all costs,especially the weston super mare branch. Cowboys just out to make as much as they can & to hell with doing things by the book!
