Easy to book online but found it…

Easy to book online but found it difficult to contact afterwards when I had questions to ask. Staff at Looe Bay were very friendly and helpful. Short distance to Looe but not able to walk as hilly and no pavement. Silver caravan with decking was great- although toilet very small! Could do with some hooks in bathroom for towels. 9pm entertainment was not great. Swimming pool good but didn’t like you couldn’t go anytime, you had to go a certain session times.

Stayed at Park Dean Highfield Grange a few weeks ago and the waste pipe underneath the caravan was blocked. The smell was absolutely hideous and there was poo and wee and flies all over. We couldn’t open the windows because of this and we were stuck sweating all night. I constantly called customer services and they said someone would be out to fix it but no one came. I sent them an email asking for a refund and they ignored me. Next steps will be to request a refund through my bank. Never again, will stick to Haven from now on.

Used to be great for tents

If you are in a tent looking for no ehu I’d stay away. The ‘pitches’ are full of holes and not maintained. There is a derelict toilet block which needs to be knocked down. They really don’t care if you are camping. Not a lot of money to be had off us tent people. The toilet/shower block that is on site is absolutely filthy. The toilets at the showbar area is even worse. I complained twice that the toilets were unacceptable and it took my third complaint for them to finally be cleaned. Also the American grill is advertised as closing at 10 all around the park but each night it was closed by 9. There are some pluses. The staff were very friendly and the girls that do the entertainment for the kids at night are lovely and great with the kids. The play park and mini golf was good fun.

Weekend at Weeley Bridge Park

Had a lovely time at Weeley Bridge Park although small was lovely. The park is well maintained the caravan was clean. Train station close by and 5-10 minute walk to the bus.
My daughter enjoyed the entertainment although she was one of the oldest she was still included which was lovely to see.
Will hopefully be back again.
All the staff was friendly and welcoming. Booking was easy to do and got conformation quickly after.

We paid extra to be pitched side by side, which if I book and specifically ask for two pitches then I think that’s unfair to charge again! the tent next door was partially on our pitch and our other pitch was on the other side, kids kept setting off the fire alarm right next to us in the toilet block and it went off for far too long, we had babies with us and fights breaking out at 1.30 in the morning we didn’t have the most enjoyable stay this time.

Issues with the shower

My colleagues had an issue with the shower during their stay at Parkdean Resorts, Eyemouth. Unfortunately, they raise the issue with a member of the out of hours team but this was not resolves and therefore they asked that I contact someone on site to get this fixed. I also found it extremely difficult to speak to someone on site by telephone to report the problem and seek assistance.

The issue itself was disappointing, but the difficulty in getting through to a member of staff made the situation more frustrating. I would have expected it to be easier to contact someone on site when there is a problem with the accommodation.

I am leaving this review based on my experience and would hope that Parkdean Resorts can improve the process for guests who need to report issues during their stay.

The site was tidy

The site was tidy. The caravan we stayed in was as clean as it could be considering how much they are used. My only gripe was we were near the maintenance buildings and every morning the would start up there very noisy diesel John dear trucks. This went on through the day. Surely would be better with electric vehicles.

Stayed at Lower Hyde on the IoW in July…

Stayed at Lower Hyde on the IoW in July 2026. Some aspects were OK but no better. Our caravan was mostly clean inside although the mattresses did have some stains. Matress protectors are not used, just a single thin sheet so its quite unhygienic. Similarly no pillow protectors, just a thin case so best bring your own bedding. The decking outside the caravan looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while and meant dirt came in on our shoes all the time.
Entertainment on site was OK, the kids seemed to enjoy it. However, customer service at this site is absolutely diabolical (with the exception of Tegan in the entertainment team, who was brilliant). Beware of issues with the activity booking app telling you its at Lower Hyde, when in reality its at the other site. They were 'unable' to refund the activity after being passed around reception, lifeguards, reception again, entertainment team.... luckily Tegan kindly offered to put on an extra session so the kids didn't miss out. I dread to think how the management at this site respond to serious incidents or complaints as they are completely incompetent and the strategy seems to be send you off to find another team to deal with issues!
Food and drink were mediocre on site at best, and expensive. Luckily Lidl is a short walk away.
