I've had a great experience with…

Poor Quality item and bad customer service…

Placed an order for a hoodie, sweatshirt and three T-shirts during the Christmas period which took a little while to ship but that’s understandable due to the time of year. Items arrived and all was well until washing and drying the sweatshirt, according to instructions, and noting the print on the rear was already showing signs of wear. Raised this with Parlez on 14th January and still no further forward. Advised Friday 16th that I would like to return and I’ve had no further contact from them. I expect more considering the price of the items and that my responses to their emails had almost been immediate. Won’t be using them again

Update: Parlez have now refunded the poor quality item. Still wouldn’t recommend based on the experience

Update in response to Parlez -

I did not chase a refund. I enquired how I could go about returning an item which was clearly poor quality/faulty.

As a customer I shouldn’t be at the mercy of your factory providing a response. The offer to return or exchange should have been forthcoming from the outset. It was clear from the images provided that the printing on the item was substandard. I do appreciate the refund and gesture to retain the item but I stand by my review.

We are very sorry for delay with your return. You had asked questions about the performance of an item moving forward to which we advised we were contacting the team for comment. On chasing your refund request we refunded your order within 24 hours of the chase email before you placed this review and have allowed you to keep the garment as a gesture if goodwill. Once again we apologise for any delay this is certainly not what we strive to deliver in terms of customer service.

Had an issue with an item I bought…

Had an issue with an item I bought recently and they responded incredibly quickly to resolve the issue. I was sent a replacement free of charge, received within 5 days of getting in touch. Stellar service - I'll be a repeat customer for sure!

I bought a T-shirt a little over a month ago. I've written to them several times over the past month, but now I'm not getting any replies and I haven't received my T-shirt. It's a joke.

I ordered 2 t-shirts but at the…

I ordered 2 t-shirts but at the checkout I shipped to the wrong address which is my own fault, however I realised this straight away and asked if the address could be changed or even cancelled. I got a reply quite quickly stating it couldn’t due to the process being automated. I feel in these circumstances it should be simple to have an order cancelled. I am now down the price of 2 t-shirts which I will not receive.

Thank you for your comment, and I’m really sorry for the frustration this has caused.

Our order and dispatch system is highly automated so that we can get parcels out of the door as quickly as possible once an order is placed. In your case, the order had already entered this process and left our building by the time we received your request, which meant we weren’t able to change the address or cancel it.

We do try to limit the chances of address errors by displaying a clear warning at checkout asking customers to double-check their delivery details before completing the order. However, we completely understand that mistakes can still happen.

If the parcel is returned to us by the carrier as undeliverable, we’ll be in touch straight away to arrange the next steps.

Since the UK’s exit from the EU, deliveries to Germany and other EU countries now incur additional customs, duties, and handling fees that unfortunately increase the overall shipping cost. These charges are set externally by customs and carriers, and are not something we’re able to control.

To make sure everything is clear before purchase, we display all shipping costs, duties, and taxes during the checkout process prior to payment, so customers can review the full price before completing their order.

We completely understand that these additional costs can be frustrating, and we are always looking for ways to offer the best possible service and rates.

True-to-Size Fit, Well Made and Smooth Delivery

I’ve purchased a few T-shirts recently and have been thoroughly impressed with the quality. They’re exceptionally comfortable and well-constructed.

In terms of sizing, I’d recommend ordering your usual size. Both the regular and oversized fits matched my expectations and fit true to what I normally wear. I’m planning to pick up a few more ahead of my late summer holiday.

The ordering process was smooth and efficient. I received regular updates, and my items arrived within just a few days.

Great quality and fresh designs

I've bought about 6 or 7 Parlez t-shirts over the last couple of years and I've found that the quality is so much better than it's competitors and they last longer too. But what I enjoy most about this brand is they're always keeping it fresh in their designs - there's new releases all the time with designs that are easy on the eye but not overstated and always in keeping with the nautical theme. Keep doing what you're doing Parlez, my favourite brand and only a matter of time before more people discover you

Nice clothes but slow…

Nice clothes but slow delivery/refund/replacement service with lack of flexibility. I returned some clothes that were too big and emailed to say I needed the replacement fast for a particular event, got an email saying nothing could be done. I said ok then please just refund. Similarly no effort to expedite or change the process. Now returning items again, as I told them I would, because they arrived too late. Not sustainable and all quite annoying and inflexible.

As a small business, we work hard to offer a personal and reliable service, but we do have to follow certain procedures to stay sustainable. We’re unable to send out replacement items or issue refunds until the original items are received back with us. This helps us manage stock and avoid losses, something that’s especially important for small businesses like ours.

Larger companies like Amazon often operate with systems that allow them to skip these steps, but this model is only sustainable at their scale – and honestly, it’s not one that works well for smaller or growing brands. That said, we’re always looking at ways to improve what we can offer within our capacity.

We did process your exchange as soon as your return was received, and we’re sorry if the timing didn’t work out for your event. We also note that you are returning the items again and will endeavour to refund those as soon as they are received. We really do try to support our customers wherever possible, and we’ll continue working to improve our flexibility where we can.

Exceptional clothing and customer service

I recently contacted Parlez regarding a button that had been lost from my husband's shirt. Let's just say the customer service was exceptional. They promptly located the shirt and button style, sending a replacement in the post the next day. I am so impressed. The shirt is fantastic quality and a personal favourite of mine. It always helps when the quality of customer service matches the superb quality of the clothing.
