They offer "freeware" that can resize and clone partitions. When you try to do any of the actions that are supposedly free it pops up a screen to buy a license. I have no problems paying for software, I do have a problem with companies lying that they offer free software
This seems to be a common trend in this industry as they're not the only ones doing this

they’re advertising services like rpcx4, a blatant virus.

Please don't waste your money our your time as this company is a big con I paid for it to clone my m.2 to a new m.2 and nothing at all it cost me money and wasted my time I've asked for my money back now 4 time's now and like the software Nothing

EDIT. I posted this in 2022 and got the response two years later, today 2024!!! Way to go.

I thought I would try this software as it had great reviews and all I needed was to copy a large amount of data from one drive to another as a backup, and my current tools were slow.
However, it took two days to complete and at the very end it suggested I use a disk check option to fix an issue. No problem, I thought, but having OK'ed the suggestion the operation aborted and no data was transferred. I later transferred the data using my 'slow' tools, but at least I got the backup done.

THEY'RE A TOTAL SCAM!!! STAY AWAY!!!
I downloaded their software to recover a corrupted PSD file. The file was recovered alright, but it wouldn't open. Instead I received a pop up saying that the file couldn't be opened because it wasn't a valid Photoshop document.
I emailed customer service right away and asked for a refund, and I received an email from a third party saying that my request for a refund was denied, and I was never given a reason why. I've been emailing them again and again since then to no avail. Seems like I've been ghosted.
And just when I thought things couldn't get any worse, I realized that my computer had been infected by viruses and I'm currently unable to do my job on it.
Like I said above, they're a total scam, stay away from them. If they surprise me and give me a refund, I'll come back and change my review to 5 stars. Until then, they're getting 1 star from me. I'd give them zero stars if I could.

Since I started using Minitool Partition Wizard in its free version for 6 years, for all the wonders it does to the hard drive, its ease and design. Choose to buy the full version. I like it better than its competitors.

They call it "free" but then require an expensive purchase to use the "free" tool. Waste of time

I bought the life time update for the mini tool wizard and the power data recovery software. I have used the mini tool wizard for years. I have had to erase my drive a couple of times do to bad programs, never really had problems reinstalling it until now. The one computer I had it on was damaged by a cat. So I did have this on a ssd card which I put in my back up computer. The mini tools wizard did not work. Said I had it on too many computers. I emailed them and explained what happend. They reset the license. It has been working fine for about 8 months. Yesterday I went to use it and it told me I have to buy a new license because I had it on too many computers. They would not reset the license. This was working great until a day ago. I think they need the money and thats why they are doing this. Was a good company, but not anymore. STAY AWAY FROM THEM. THEY HAVE NOW TURNED INTO A LOUSY COMPANY. I YOU DO BUY THERE SOFTWARE EXPECT MANY, MANY, HEADAKES IN THE FUTURE.

Be very carefull with that tool it damaged 2 of my hard drives by mistake.

I bought a lifetime license in 2017 as I really liked the Partition Wizard software. I built a new computer and installed it in 2021. I reached out to customer service to reset the license and was told that the license is tied to the original PC only. The support person named Yoda was very rude and unhelpful, insinuating that I was installing it on more than one computer. I advise everyone to stay away from their scam license model.

It destroyed all my data on my Linux installation i dual booted. It wasn't even supposed to interact with it.

Stay away from this. They have a feature called "ShadowMaker partition", truely stand to its name. This thing has INVADED my internet the moment it was installed. Truely invasive, a two day nightmare has started. My internet since had been spiky and very choppy: went up to 200mbps (which i normally have) and drop down to 25mbps. Yeah after multiple research, I've learnt that this shadwmaker took all my bandwith without my perimission, invaded my internet like a highjacker, and WASTED MY TWO DAYS OF LOOKING INTO THIS AND TALKED TO MY ISP 5 TIMES!!!! Thanks Minitool, thanks for wasting my time and others. Keep up the internet high jacking and keep going broke as you should :)

All I needed was a free tool to unlock extra hard drive space from my Seagate 3TB drive. I totally forgot I had another 724gb after partitioning it to two 1TB partitions.

I converted from MBR to GPT (for WIN10) within seconds and created a new partition in under a minute. Can't rate it highly.

I've found the program very useful over the years, but I like to control the behavior of installed programs and MiniTool Partition Wizard is starting on its own and nagging me to install version 12.5. I looked in the list of startup programs but it's not listed, yet the program periodically displays an alert box without me starting it. This may be the beginning of the end.

Non-Refundable
I subscribe the annual plan but the program was not working, so sent an email at the same day. They claim they will refund you if doesn't work but they won't! Because they will keep bothering you follow their useless directions and keep asking you to install this or run that but it never helps. In the end, I sent pc to fix and ask them to refund and they said you didn't follow their direction and refused to refund! This is totally scam.

Great software, just great. The licensing is a major problem, they use a 1990s model. I'm in IT pro and I upgrade and swap out components of my computer constantly. Every time I change my CPU the software is disabled. They key to your hardware. For a utility that is so obviously useful on an IT Pro's main computer this limitation renders it useless. No matter how good the software is, if it won't run then no point having it. I suggest doing what I did, go back to using a live gparted/clonezilla USB or CDROM. No hassles there EVER but for rebooting the PC. Minitool really should get with the times and do a license key based on user identity NOT machine ID. I'd be happy to login every time I use it, if that meant it would work. Probably the most useful, yet most frustrating software I ever used in 25+ years.

I downloaded the free version of this software in order to clone my SSD. It appeared to do the job but when it was finished both the original SSD and the new cloned one would not boot up into windows. I spent several days trying to fix the errors but even the Dell recovery software could not boot up the computer and I had to reinstall the OS. I don't know if it was a virus, but something nasty happened here.

Good functionality, but licensing issues
This is an exceptional piece of software (partition wizard) , but after I bought a new pc and upgraded the current one I have (admittedly all happened in just 2 years) their support claims I already installed it on 2 pc's and I can't activate it again without buying a new license. In contrary to other software there is apparently no function to release activation from a pc or manage the system it is activated on online. Because of that I will buy a new license next time I need this kind of software, but it will probably be an Acronis Disk Director or possibly another competitor's software since they allow me to manage my licenses online whenever I decide to get a new system or decide to upgrade mb/cpu/gfx again. It would be nice if they could check when it was last active on your systems as well so they could actually confirm I am not using it on multiple pc's.

Tldr:
Great software, but has a bad licensing system in place which forces you to keep buying activation codes if you replace/upgrade your pc too much in a relatively short span of time.
