I had a very disappointing experience with PartsGeek. The part I received was incorrect/damaged, and the return process was frustrating from start to finish.

What made the experience even worse was the customer service. It was extremely difficult to get assistance, responses were unhelpful, and it felt like no one was willing to take responsibility for resolving the issue. As a customer, I expected better support when the company sent the wrong or damaged item.

Buying auto parts online requires confidence that the seller will stand behind their products. Unfortunately, that was not my experience with PartsGeek. Between receiving the wrong/damaged part and dealing with poor customer service, I wasted valuable time and money.

I would not recommend PartsGeek based on my experience and will be purchasing my auto parts elsewhere in the future.

TERRIBLE WEBSITE

I am extremely disappointed with both Parts Geek and their customer service.

I received a severely damaged part from my order (Order #31-6894064), which cost $271. To receive a refund, I was required to ship the damaged part back at my own expense. I paid an additional $95 to FedEx, and Parts Geek refused to reimburse me for the return shipping, even though the part arrived broken.

From the poor packaging to the lack of customer support, this has been one of the worst online parts purchasing experiences I've had. Customers should not have to pay out of pocket to return merchandise that was damaged before it even arrived.

I would strongly recommend exercising caution before ordering from this website. Based on my experience, the packaging, customer service, and post-sale support were all extremely disappointing.

*****BUYER BEWARE*****

Make sure when ordering that you order the part you need. It will cost you the customer more for return shipping and the restocking fee. By the time you pay those your refund will be minimal. Basically they are going to get paid one way or another. I'll be better off to resell the brand new part to get most of my money back instead of paying them.to scan it back into inventory and put it back on a shelf to sell again later. They're making double on a single part. I definitely suggest using RockAuto.com or CarParts.com. Better prices and better customer service at both places. PartsGeek.com just feels like a bunch of greedy thieves that don't think mistakes happen. No thanks.

Parts Geek return policy is a trap for…

Parts Geek return policy is a trap for the unwary consumer. I ordered a tail lamp assembly and specifically requested the color to be red/Grey in color. The sales person sent a red/clear color. When I tried to return it Parts Geek wanted me to pay the return charges of $40.00. After 3 days of staying on the phone for 30 minutes with music, they refused to pay the return charge even after admitting the recorded conversation reflects I requested red/Grey!

Horrible customer service,

I ordered a hub with bearings kit, they came to me without bearings. I ask for them to send the bearings they forvot to me, they refused. They said I had to send the parts back and then reorder them again. I asked if the bearing I needed was sold separately, yes 37.00 I asked them to send me that bearing, they said I had to pay for it. I told them I did when I ordered it the first time... got NO where with these people.I Asked to speak to a supervisor, they said they would have someone call me back never happend. Called 5 different times and was hung up on each time. And never did speak to a supervisor. Ended up having to buy the bearing at O'Reilly because the link they sent me to return the hubs didnt work either. Very hard to speak too and understand. VERY heavy Indian accent on ALL 5 customer service people I spoke too. I asked several times to be transfered because I could not understand them, they refused and one said I was being racist. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY.

If I could pick a 0 star I would

If I could pick a 0 star I would. The return policy is a joke. I paid $134 for parts and needed to return. I had to pay $113 in shipping and they charged a restock fee. Same order but different parts I had to pay another $55 for shipping because they were getting returned to different locations. Them parts coat me $176. Then a restocking fee. Tried to talk to them and they would not even try to communicate with me.

If I could give no stars I would

If I could give no stars I would. Absolute crooks. May 29 ordered a part their website said I'd love it in 5-7 days. Showed up 9 days later. I returned it as I got the part locally instead of waiting. Return got to their warehouse on June 15. June 20th or there about I called them, asking where's my refund. I was told it has to be processed. Filled a dispute with PayPal while waiting, as I suspected they'd try to wait me out till u forgot about my money. Website says retun processed. This is July 6. I called them and got a whole run around that it has to be escalated to the warehouse. Miraculously no supervisors available. Then eventually got told I'm holding up the line and got hung up on.
Crooks. Absolutely one of my worst after sales experiences ever. I will NEVER buy from them again and will tell everyone I know to do the same.

I wouldn't give a star at all if I didn't have to. I ordered 2 parts...I ended up not needing them. I went to return them at fedex... ot was approximately 35 dollars to return them...and a restocking fee is also charged 🙄... the parts were 152 dollars... they want you to pay for shipping and a restocking fee..which is about half of the money I paid for the parts.... I will NEVER order from Parts Geek again. They are such a ripoff. It would have been fine to pay a restocking fee....but not shipping as well. Who owns this company because this is high way robbery. This is so disgusting...imagine paying for something that you end up not needing then get hit with fees that's insanely ridiculous..

I ordered a water pump kit for my 2014 Mustang. Instructions and pictorial show kit contains p/n ER33-8276-AA. It did not come with the kit. Because of their mistake, I am supposed to pay $20 shipping and buy the separate part for an additional $70! Their mistake is costing me alot of time and money! Would not recommend.

The wrong part was sent and I got a return ticket from Parts Geek. I returned it in same box and never took it out of the box. It was rejected immediately warehouse manager said it was installed which it was not. I talked to them and said it was not up for review and sent it back and charged my FedEx account. I have filed complaints and still have not received a refund.

Bad warranties

I just want to let everyone know do not order from Parts Geek. I bought a set of rear brake caliper and pads.I called about the warranty. I had the parts installed 6 months ago by a mechanic. The driverside rear caliper was smoking and sticking. I was told I had to remove the set I bought to receive a refund. The Company would not send me a replacement caliper. I was also told I would have to pay shipping.

Partsgeek.com is unreliable

I had an extremely disappointing experience with PartsGeek.

My first order was unexpectedly canceled. When I called customer service to understand why, the representative was unable to provide any explanation or insight and the interaction was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had.

I decided to give the company a second chance and placed another order. Three days later, I received an email stating that the part was actually out of stock.

After two failed orders, poor communication, and a lack of inventory accuracy, I have completely lost confidence in this company. If you need a part quickly or expect reliable customer service, I would strongly recommend considering other retailers.

Order details and emails have been retained and can be provided if needed.

Bunch of crooks

So I called PartsGeek so that I can order the right parts for my suspension tie rods on my truck they sent me the parts and I can ask the correct because you know we talked on the phone right they know what they're doing. While I was wrong so I had to get parts right away and I paid three times as much as I would have going through another site but I trusted Park Geeks so I was stuck between a rock and hard race. So I called PartsGeek again to tell him what happened thinking hey they take care of me while the guy said yeah just leave on whatever you need and will give you money on the rest. While now I know that this is how they get you they're a crooked thieving company and they'll tell you the wrong things so that you can't return your products Shady Shady Shady company. Don't ever use them they'll send you the wrong stuff and then I'll trick you to keep them so you can't get your money back so not only are you paying quadruple for the parts you need but you'll also not get your money back because they'll tell you the wrong thing so that you have to keep it so shady man bunch of crooks I talk to you every management and they don't even care they that's how they keep their money that's how they keep going you see reviews like this about them all the time I promise you guys do not use them horrible company you get what you pay for you get Littlest Mountain but you don't get it back when they send you the wrong stuff and they'll send me the wrong stuff on purpose and then tell you the wrong things so you can't return it Shady company bunch of crooks I'll never use them again and I'm a right on every platform how horrible they are and how horrible they are with their customers. Hassle-free returns yeah right nothing but hassle you're the worst company I've ever dealt with when it comes to returns worse

PartsGeek supplies bad fitment information

PartsGeek has a limited search engine. Basically, you put in the year make and model of your vehicle and it gives you parts that supposedly fit your car. It does not require you to put in a VIN to get more specific search results, as more sophisticated sites are requiring you to do.
My experience with ordering brake parts at Partsgeek turned out disastrously and while they email you back about your concerns they basically work their system so that they end up being in the right.
Here is what happened: we had no idea if we needed vented or solid front rotors for this Cobalt. The site said these were solid rear rotors that fit the car. We knew there were no rear rotors on this vehicle and that was my mistake to not see this error of description on their as part of a bigger problem, but this make and model did not have rear rotors, so it seemed moot when ordering. The description for this part did not list an SS which does have rear rotors. The LS/LT did not take rear rotors or solid front rotors- so 2 errors in fitment description on their part. We needed the vented front rotors. That smacks culpability in my book there's something that they would not acknowledge.
Ultimately, all I was asking of them during the return process was to supply a return shipping label as I knew them to be culpable.
They refused to supply a return shipping label and did not acknowledge any culpability on their end for supplying incorrect information on their website. Clearly, they care little about how accurate their descriptions or fitment.
As I noted earlier they work you over until they end up in the right and you just give up, figuring it's better to get some money back than get stuck entirely. I suspect this is figured into their company mindset.
Cost: Brake parts were about $100, return shipping is going to be $42 and there is a restocking fee. Good for you Parts Geek, stealing money your customers. This is a company where you should exercise "buyer beware."
