company policy sux

parts and price are good. return and cancelation policy is TERRIBLE. dumbass shipping cost and restocking fee on the customer when i called literally right after i placed the order. they did not even check to see if the part was already took off the shelf. they want to ship it and then let the customer pay to ship it back to add a restocking fee 20% of a fkin part cost wtf not even a set amount for restocking.. it depends on PART COST not to mention before i called i waited in call line just to have my call answered and hung up on 2 second later before i even got a "hello?" nothing.. i dont care that i could have known all this before i placed my order because that doesnt change the fact that it sucks. like i can be a terrible person but if i tell you before i am a terrible person to you then its not my fault. nah, change that

Ordered a part from my truck with their parts finder, they send the wrong part, I notifiy them immediatly, they say send it back at your cost. They sent the wrong part, they should cover it. I contact them multiple times, they just say we will call you back in 24, and they never do and then they just let your ticket close and say you cant do anything about it. TERRIBLE COMPANY, AVOID!!!!!!

Bogus Part Listing

Inaccurate listing was for a dual row radiator, the one sent was a single row.
After many calls to customer service for a return shipping label Partsgeek finally sent the label and refunded but denied the original shipping cost.
Apparently Partsgeek is not accountable for mistakes on their website and the customer must take the loss

This was one of the worst online parts-buying experiences I’ve ever had.

I ordered a window regulator for my vehicle and paid about $110. PartsGeek sent me the WRONG part—it wasn’t even for my car. Despite this being entirely their mistake, they expect me to pay the return shipping, which is $88, plus a 15% restocking fee.

Let’s do the math:

* I paid about $110.
* Return shipping costs $88.
* They also want to charge a 15% restocking fee (around $16).

After all of that, I’d get back only about $5–$6 because of THEIR error.

If I ordered the wrong part, I’d understand paying the return costs. Which I’m 1000% sure because I made sure twice. Plus I ordered parts for my Camaro all the time believe me there’s a difference between those two cars. However. when the company ships the wrong item, the customer shouldn’t be the one absorbing almost the entire loss.

I expected them to make things right by providing a prepaid return label and issuing a full refund or sending the correct part. Instead, they shifted the cost of their mistake onto me.

Be very careful ordering from PartsGeek. If they send you the wrong part, you may end up paying for their mistake.

They advertise parts they don't have.

They advertised a part for sale which I bought and paid for. After 5 days of no communication I call and first the guy tells me I picked the cheapest shipping and they have 5-7 days to ship it. I question him on that and then he tells me I will get it in 5-7 days. Two days later I call and ask why I still have no tracking info. Then they say there is a problem with the order. They don't have the part. I don't know how long they would've waited to tell me if I didn't call.

I purchased a ac compressor kit. The compressor is bad and their non English speaking customer service is ridiculous. Won't take compressor back unless I remove the whole kit to send back. The labor involved is very expensive to remove it all and in the meantime my truck is disabled for god knows how long. PATS GEEK SUCKS BUY LOCAL NOY THIS ONLINE CROOKED COMPANY

Parts fit guarantee is BS

I ordered a replacement catalytic converter. For starters the welds on the one I received looked like they were done by a second grader with a crayon. When I tried to install it, I found that the angle it was welded at was off and it made contact with the CV axle. Called to return and order one that'll work and was told it was more than 40 days they wouldn't fix the issue. Part was verified by VIN again by them and they still will not fix the defective part. I will never order from them again and recommend no one else does either.

I ordered a parts for a 2005 F250 4x4…

I ordered a parts for a 2005 F250 4x4 superduty, specificly the radius arm bushings. Parts Geek sent me the wrong part, they sent me F150 bushings. Their return process is anything but simple. Must take a picture and send it, give your vin number, drive to a shipping company that will ship it back, and Pay to ship it back. This is all from PartsGeek when they screw up a parts order and send the wrong parts. The interesting thing is Parts Geeks prices are good compaired to traditional auto parts stores. The problem with good pricing is they get you on the backend when the error is theirs. Any cost savings evaporate when you get the wrong parts and have to return them due to Parts Geeks error. Here is the rub; the wrong parts cost $100.00+, I had to pay $30.18 (30%) to ship the wrong parts back to Parts Geek. It also seams odd that the Parts Geek reviews on their website are at 4.8 stars, all places are about half that rating. To me Parts Geek is one of the worst companies online to buy from because nothing matches RE: non-matching parts, non-matching customer reviews, non-matching statements on their website about easy this, easy that. Other companies have figured it out that being good and honest with your customers will build long-term loyalty and repeat customers. They don't accept responsibility for their errors and place everything (cost/time) on the customer who buys from Parts Geek. I would highly not recommend Parts Geek to anyone, you pay more in the end.

Terrible experience

Terrible experience. The first time I ordered a compressor, it turned out to be the wrong one. The one they sent looked like it had been used and it was very oily. They let me refund it and were trying to defend themselves with the fact that it was oily yet that's exactly how I received it. They made me have to put up a fight but eventually refunded me and directed me to parts that would actually fit. I ordered the correct part as recommended. My mechanic could not get around to installing the part until recent and it turns out that it was the wrong part yet again. . I called them and let them know that they made yet another mistake and hid behind they're return policy. I am now stuck with a compressor that I cant use and will have to buy another one. I hope this review can save others from the headache that I had to go through.

Scam do not use these guys!!!

Low Prices, but Low Competence.

Prices were great, but the customer service/policies are not so good. I consulted with them directly to order a part, but they still sent the wrong model. I was given a refund for the basic cost, but not any of the other charges (including an ironic “service” charge). Avoid this company. The slight discount is not worth the extra time, inconvenience, and lost money from their mistakes.

Ordered several items which included a set of rear brake calibers and was sent the wrong ones and upon trying to return them i had to pay return shipping for an item they fluffed up and upon then getting the items they rejected a refund saying the there were missing parts and one of the boxes had never even been opened by me as when the first box got opened we saw they were the wrong parts and as i told the worst customer rep in the world that I sent u back exactly what u sent me but they still want to argue about missing parts when again one of the boxes was never opened and they said that one had missing parts also and I told the rep that if thats the case send me the parts back and I will sell them to someone that can use them and she said u have 24 hours to send a prepaid return label to use or the items will be scrapped at which point I told her no u won't u wil just sell them to some other fool and proceeded to tell her I would be filing a complaint with my states attorney general about there business practices and then I get an email from some other customer rep there that they would be sending the parts back to me, in all the 2 male customer reps were very nice but really did nothing to help but the woman I delt with should be fired as she has no human skills what so ever and almost seemed threatening, in all this business should be shutdown and I will never get anything from them again and also will spread the word to others not to deal with them , I will pay double or triple the price for something before ever getting anything from them again , oh and also I paid for expedited shipping and it took 8 days to get my parts and they were delivered at 6 minutes to midnight ,what legit company ships like that ¡!!!!!!!!

never received item or refund

ordered a part from Parts Geek on July 1 and never received it. Tracking showed the carrier was still awaiting the item, and after opening an investigation on July 10 and having it escalated on July 14, I was told a refund would be issued within 72 hours.
That refund still has not been processed. I have followed up multiple times and keep getting the same generic response that the investigation is still in progress and that they need to wait for the carrier’s findings before taking action.
At this point, the delay is unacceptable. Parts Geek should refund the customer immediately and continue its carrier investigation separately. I would not trust them again for time-sensitive orders.

Don't expect to be able to return anything.

Ordered a part and the part was defective. I didn't realize it until I was attaching it to the car. They said the part had been "installed" and I could not return it. Tried to escalate and got run through the same script with 3 different reps, all of who say there were the "supervisor" of the previous rep.
