Pass N Go Driving School Reviews 

I wanted to have driving lessons from a female instructor to which I sent an email to Jessica, a member of the Pass and Go team. She assured me that there were many female instructors available in my area. That assured me to book my first lesson through the website. However, 30 mins after I booked my lesson, I got put with a male instructor without me choosing and knowing. If I had known I would be put with a male instructor, I would not have booked the lesson in the first lesson. I then rang customer services who would not allow me to change to a female instructor and they wouldn't allow me to change the day either. They kept telling me that I had to have the first lesson with the male instructor before I could change to a female instructor. When I wanted to change my instructor, they told me I had to have my first lesson with him first before I could change. They also told me if I wanted to cancel, I would not get my money back and they also refused to give me another date with a female instructor.
Im not happy with this service as it a ripoff.

Could not rate Christopher Learmonth higher, helped me pass first time!! Chris was incredibly patient through out, incredbily knowledgeable and really clear with help and instructions, also just very friendly and fun, made driving lessons something to look forward to each week!!! Very thankful he was my instructor!!

I had Phil Howarth as my instructor and he was an excellent teacher, his patience is immaculate, he would go the extra mile for you so you achieve your goals. The absolute best. I highly recommend him. I finally passed my test!!!! The driving war is overrrrrr hehe

If you're in the Sunderland area and get an instructor called Graeme, just know you're in safe hands!

Down to earth guy, makes driving fun and makes the most out of your lessons. He'll always be honest with you without destroying your confidence and will push you to be better, which I really appreciated throughout each lesson. Don't shy away and be honest with him, and he'll gladly adapt the lessons to suit you.

Definitely lucked out having him as my instructor and 100% would not have passed first time without his guidance. Will miss the banter we had in each lesson.

I had a great experience and felt fully prepared for my driving test which I was able to pass first time.

My instructor Simon Doyle was amazing! I wasn’t confident when I first started lessons and Simon was really patient, motivating and helped me build my confidence. Always had a laugh on our lessons and couldn’t have had a better instructor! Highly recommend him!

I’m so happy to say I passed my driving test first time today, and I honestly couldn’t have done it without my incredible instructor David Horsley.
I had been trying to learn to drive for years and always struggled with nerves and anxiety, and never really felt ready before. David was incredibly patient, calm, and supportive from the very beginning. He really helped me manage my anxiety and taught me how to stay in control and confident while driving.
His teaching style made such a difference, everything was explained clearly, mistakes were never made to feel stressful, and he always encouraged me to believe in myself.
Thanks to his support, I finally built the confidence I needed and passed my test first time today, something I honestly didn’t think would ever happen.
I would highly recommend him to anyone learning to drive, especially if you struggle with nerves or confidence.

I couldn’t recommend Tanya more. After struggling with a previous instructor i swapped to Tanya, and within 6 weeks with her I passed! She made lessons so enjoyable and I learnt so much. Can’t thank her enough.

Muhammad mughal is a fantastic instructor would definitely recommend, very helpful both in the car and with organising lessons and sorting the issues with i had with the booking system.

Passing with Hayley Tanya
Tanya is the most loveliest, craziest(in a good way) instructor, i couldn’t have asked for a better instructor. She explained everything so well and made me understand how to feel confident and calm. I have had such a great experience and highly recommend tanya, she never fails to make me giggle. I’m gonna miss her.

Passed with Andrew Robertson he was an absolutely amazing instructor turned me from a nervous wreck into a confident driver, also had great laughs along the way! Couldn’t be more grateful

Ment to be the largest driving instructor companies about but can’t refund practical test money as i paid for intensive course with test included and test fee and had to pay for a test myself as the backlog since covid still hasn’t been caught up and so on its over 6 months wait to get a driving test slot

Absolutely shocking! Cancelled the course a month away from test date because they had no drivers. Been booked for 5-6 months and couldn't get this sorted in time!

Rachel is an amazing instructor! Passed my first driving test today and i couldn't have done it without her, she’s really patient and clear with how she teaches so everything is so much easier to understand. I was very nervous to drive but now i feel very confident after driving with Rachel. Highly recommend!

Things didn’t start well with this driving school unfortunately .. had a Driving Instructor called Scott in the Wakefield area from September to December 2025 turned out he told me was a trainee driver instructor!!!! … from my 1st lesson just let me drive just directed me where to go & always had the radio on from day one and only started engaging in conversation after 5/6 lesson. With regards to my driving at the end of a lesson just sent a report on app on how I’ve had driven…. glad in the end that he let me know he has quit via a text message to be a pizza delivery driver again!!! WTH!

Simon Doyle took over and he was amazing learnt a hell of a lot of him in the 6 six Lesson before taking my test in mid Feb 2026 than I ever did with the other instructor (11 x 2hr lessons )passed 1st time thanks to Simon.

Definitely wouldn’t have passed with the other instructor (Scott) so did me a favour him quitting .

I was recommended Richard Wareham (Biff) from a family friend, and I myself would do the same. I have been learning with him for a month or so and I feel improvements in my driving each lesson. He is a great teacher as well as being encouraging and reassuring.
