Patagonia is greenwashing
I sent a shirt and jacket for repair. Both were sent back without repairs. You expert better quality for the high price - or at least a commitment to repairing holes in their clothes. Very disappointing for a company that claims to take sustainability seriously. This is greenwashing.
Great service
I bought Patagonia waterproof pants and rain jacket for a multi day hike, the pants became torn early in the trip. Upon my return I asked the store (Paddy Pallin, Hobart) about a repair or replacement - they told me Patagonia would fix the pants, which they did at no cost. A proper repair job too, not just a crappy stitch job but a complete new patch. Very happy with that service
A rare company
A rare company: one that has ethical principles and tries to stick with them. They produce documentaries on topics that need attention on them. And they produce good clothing.
Unacceptable shipping costs
Every year, I’ve purchased items from Patagonia for my daughter’s birthday. This will be my last year doing so. I recently learned that, even though Patagonia has a store in Canada, their online orders are shipped from the U.S. — and they charge $28 for shipping.
That’s the most I’ve ever paid to ship clothing. I’ve always been willing to pay Patagonia’s higher prices because I believed in their quality and commitment to the environment. But what I can’t overlook is being charged such an excessive shipping fee for products that aren’t even shipped within Canada.
Very disappointing — especially from a company that promotes fairness and sustainability.
Do not order on Patagonia site
Jacket ordered on 24 hour service over a week ago. Mis-routed and not deleivered one week later
Raised the issue last week. No response from customer service and no options on Royal Mail tracking to contact them either
So poor form a company of this size and for an expensive item
Great FREE Repair Service - unlike any other Fashion company
I had my down jacket for 5 years, it was starting to rip in a few places because I used it a lot, basically every day during the cold season. I got in touch with them and they accepted to repair it for free, including shipping, got it in a few weeks.
They did a great job
Amazing Company

I ordered s back pack and it broke in less than 2 weeks. Customer service have been awful and unhelpful for the uk, the us one on the other hand was helpful but probably just to pass me on to uk customer service. Now I have a broken backpack!
Extremely poor customer service
Extremely poor customer service and defective products.
I bought a £70 rrp merino tee which perished in less than a year with only occasional use.
They brag about a Cast Iron Guarantee on their website but ignore any customers that contact them.
They have lost a life time customer and will be recieving very poor reviews on their merino tee shirts going forward.
Disgraceful company.
Awful
Ordered a Jacket. Was unhappy with sizing so I returned. The return was received back at their warehouse on 22nd August. 20 Days later and still no word of when I will get my refund. I've emailed them twice. I've now opened a PayPal dispute. Will never buy anything from Patagonia again. Do yourself a favour and avoid.
Shipping scam
So I’ve tried to purchase a number of products from Patagonia Canada, but unfortunately they aren’t shipping from Canada. They’re shipping from the United States and actually charge you double the actual purchase price in order to compensate for the shipping and everything else that comes with it so if I’m buying a $300 Jacket that jacket now cost me $600 pathetic organization have no interest in servicing Canadian customers

Incompetent
Ordered on 8th August and eventually received on 28th. So 20 days!
Lots of emails chasing up the order. They sent a form to fill in which you need a computer or Word. Then they said it will take 2 weeks to investigate. They make it as hard as possible to communicate with them as the phone number for customer service sends you to automated messages saying no one there. I received emails from Royal Mail saying it’s out for delivery on 2 occasions when it wasn’t!
Feel stressed, no way to treat customers!
Don’t order direct from this site!! Especially if you need the item. If I’d seen the negative reviews on trust pilot first I would never of ordered from this company.

I had a frustrating experience with Patagonia. They told me my order was canceled, but it was actually shipped, so I ended up purchasing the same item again through another channel. Later, they kept insisting the order was canceled and that I would get a refund, but I already received the products and no refund was issued. To make things worse, customer service kept pushing responsibility to the order management department, while the order management department only replied with generic template emails.
My coat arrived with the security tag…
My coat arrived with the security tag on. I was initially offered a refund but I really wanted the jacket and it was sold out on the website. The only thing they could suggest is to go to a Patagonia partner store, but the local one didn't use security tags. Resorted to wire cutters.
Missing refund
Returned two items from an order. Tracking showed the return was delivered on 30th July but received no word on when I would get my refund. I ended up chasing them and sent proof of return and tracking details, I heard nothing from them but then received an email that only one of the items was being refunded. Chased again on the 2nd item only to be sent a form for missing items on delivery. I will be disputing the transaction for the missing refund if this is not sorted soon. This has been by far the worst customer experience I have received in a long time, especially for products at such a high price point.
Lazy customer service call
I’m usually happy with Patagonia, but my recent experience has been disappointing.
I had one of the wax backpacks that became unusable after only a couple of years. When I enquired about a repair, I was told it wasn’t possible. Eventually, I was offered a discount code to purchase something new from the website.
I placed an order and selected a local drop-off point for delivery, but the package was incorrectly sent to my old billing address. When I contacted customer service to resolve this, I was told to call PostNL myself. After I explained that this was not my error and asked the agent to look into it, she instead suggested I go to the old address (not nearby) to check personally. The package wasn’t there.
As a result, I’ve had to print (find a printer!) and fill out a form to request a refund and am still waiting. Overall, this has been a frustrating and time-consuming process. The customer service agent I spoke with was not proactive and at times rude, which was very disappointing (I hope a recording of the call can be reviewed).
Extremely Disappointed with Shipping Experience
Subject: Extremely Disappointed with Shipping Experience
As a first-time customer, I regret to say that I will not be purchasing from this company again due to an extremely frustrating shipping experience. The courier service used attempted delivery at 7:00 AM—well before standard business hours—when our office was closed. They repeated this attempt at the same early hour on another day, despite my clear instructions to leave the package at my office.
Unfortunately, my message was either not received or ignored, and there was no way to communicate directly with the shipping company due to the lack of a working phone number or responsive support. As a result, I have now lost an expensive item with no clear resolution.
This situation could have been avoided had a more reliable and communicative shipping service been used. I strongly urge the company to reconsider its logistics partner, as this experience has been deeply disappointing and reflects poorly on an otherwise promising purchase.
Long delay for refund
I had to return an item that was too large. My money is yet to be refunded after three weeks. It took two weeks for Patagonia to acknowledge that the package had been received and apparently takes a further three to ten working days for the refund to reach my bank account. I will not be ordering anything online again.
Top shelf customer service
The customer service continues to impress and is beyond top of the field. They are kind, and generous when a mistake happens. Makes you want to keep buying their products.
