Absolutely unacceptable. Bait-and-switch tactics and zero accountability.

I had the worst banking experience with Patelco Credit Union. I was approved in-branch for a used car loan—made it crystal clear I was buying an electric vehicle (EV). No issue, everything was confirmed and approved. Then a few hours later, I get an email that looked like a phishing scam: wrong loan terms, a different name, and a completely different loan type that explicitly excluded EVs.

Called Patelco to find out what happened, and instead of owning their obvious mistake, they gaslit me and acted like I was confused—even after I sent them their own emails showing the contradictory information. Not a shred of empathy, just condescending and patronizing responses from their loan department and call center staff.

This was a complete bait-and-switch, and nobody took responsibility. How do you go from a standard used car loan approval to dumping someone into a subprime loan with incorrect details? Totally unacceptable.

Save yourself the headache—go to literally any other credit union. Patelco is a disorganized, dismissive, and frankly untrustworthy operation.

These people are insane

These people are insane. I started a small CBD business and they reported me to the feds for running narcotics. When the feds refused to investigate (because it's a lie), they kicked me off of banking and an appeal to Natalie in compliance resulted in me getting screamed at . . . because, you know, she is not very bright, the company is not very bright, they belief hemp is a narcotic. Don't do business with stupid people. It's not logical.
