While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

Give you the runaround and then ghost you

A Paxus consultant contacted me asking if I'd be interested in a technical writer role. I got back to them the same day, providing them with everything they asked for. After hearing nothing back for 11 days, I emailed the consultant to find out what, if anything, had happened. Three days later - a full two weeks after they contacted me - I'm still waiting for a reply. A strange way to treat candidates, especially ones you solicited!

Paxus from a contractor's perspective

My review of Paxus is from contractor's perspective. But I have also sourced contractors through Paxus in the past, and my comments apply equally in that context. Having used Paxus as my agent for the past five years, I can confirm that they are a respectable and respectful agency that is interested in the wellbeing of their contractors. They have behaved in professional manner in all of my dealings with then, and always responded to any issues or requests I had in a timely fashion. The only reasons for the four star rating rather than five star are the payment cycle, which means you wait two weeks from the end of the timesheet period for payment, and the relatively new timesheeting system, which is a big step back from the previous system, providing no history once a timesheet has been approved (so you need to keep your own records separately from the system). These are relatively minor issues, though, and generally, I recommend Paxus to contractors like myself.
