They won't permit me to use PayPal

They won't permit me to use PayPal, and they won't tell me why🤔! Apperently they don't have a reason? LOL Because its not an information they have. Sounds like a robotic kinda thing woth inhumane treatments.
Not that I Am wild about PayPal.
Its nice to know why they won't permit and they don't have answers??? LOL wierd.

DO NOT USE PAYPAL and if you already…

DO NOT USE PAYPAL and if you already have an account I suggest you make plans to move to an alternative service. They limited access to my account and started demanding I send in proof of ID and asking me about my political affiliations. Which I have none. After months of giving me the run around they said they were permanently limiting my account access for security reasons and wouldn't advise why. I have a 960/1000 credit rating and a flawless financial history.

I am going to make this as short as possible! I basically had a refund issue with PayPal, so i ordered some flight tickets back in 2025 January, and we had to cancel said tickets around the end of 2025 due to personal things.

After an insane amount of back and forth with both the Danish PayPal as well as the flight company in question, both companies kept telling me that there is nothing they can do and that it isnt their fault.

Fast forward 2 weeks of messaging the airline back and forth, i attempt to contact the Danish Paypal once again, and they tell me they indeed do have the money on my account (which was closed, cause i closed it sometime in 2025)

Now i call their phone support and after many phone calls, i get to talk to someone who could actually find the Transaction through the ID that i had provided them with.

They tell me to write an email to Enquiry@Paypal, and give them permission to send the amount, give them my passport and proof of address (where i live currently) I send them every document that is asked of me, and let me just say it took far too long, and it shouldnt have taken this long, at the end of it all i had 35 emails back and forth with Enquiry@paypal.

Now the main problem for was this: I was constantly met with different people who had no clue what my case was about, and i had to explain from the start, i was also met with clashing responses, anything from (We can sadly not do anything since the account is closed) to (This isnt our problem it is the airline) To (Of course we can get you, your money back you do not have to worry about this, now all of the emails were in Danish, but right after i got a response saying (Just send these documents again for the 7th time) Through your new paypal account, cause they asked me to delete my Danish account and make an Austrian one, so they kept telling me to send the documents from the new account, but then i got a response saying i have to send it from my old deleted account (email)
But right after i got the (Dont worry of course we can get your money back (send these documents again bla bla) I did and then the Danish papal from what it looks like redirected me to the Austrian PayPal, now the problem with that is, that my Austrian account was brand new and it had nothing to do with the refund, but regardless they told me to call the Austrian PayPal (And i was adamant about not wanting to do that, because i knew they wouldn't be able to do anything about it) But i called regardless and what do you know, they couldn't do anything about it, since it was a Danish Account.

I then called the Danish phone support for the what seemed like the 60th time, and i said i have tried literally everything that i have been told, and they just keep telling me to send the same documents over and over again, never specifying what the problem with my documents are, the lady on the phone tells me that one of my documents was a screenshot and that isn't allowed apparently (35 emails in no1 told me this)

So she urged me to correct this mistake and message them again, which i did and it didn't do anything, i was then told to call the Irish PayPal in Dublin, which i did.

Here i talked to Jason, and they told me this: Initially i cant see what should be wrong with the documents you have provided? If it stood to me i would refund the money and have this closed right here on the phone, but sadly since they have new rules they couldn't do this.

(i cant see what should be wrong with the documents you have provided? ) THIS PART HERE MADE ME ABSOLUTELY RAGE QUIT by the way. Cause i had send the exact same documents like 10 times+ for 2 weeks. And i was told NO every single time, just for Jason to tell me it shouldnt be a problem.

Jason then filed this with their internal affairs and told me they would personally email me any updates, and that they would check up on it the next day.

In just 25 minutes after that i got the money transferred to my new PayPal account.

It took like a total of 1 month with a mix of messaging the airline and PayPal, but Jason fixed it for me in 30 minutes, one call to Dublin and everything was fine.

Now i obviously dont live in Ireland so i cant say what the Paypal experience is like there, but i can tell you that the Danish Paypal is absolutely terrible and if i could swear i would, cause they caused me nothing but stress/anger/frustration/and problems.

Ville ønske jeg kunne give den Danske PayPal 0 stjerner fordi det var ikke dem der fiksede mit problem, det var den Irske Paypal (Takket være Jason)

Virkelig, virkelig dårlig support, forfærdelig service, aldrig igen.

PayPal seller protection is a scam

The PayPal seller protection program is a scam.

We received an order on our webshop marked as paid via PayPal. Based on that status, we shipped the order. Only after shipping did we discover that the payment couldn’t be captured due to a “payment error.” So the buyer got the product, and we got nothing.

What’s the point of Seller Protection if a transaction can appear as paid, trigger fulfillment, and then simply fail? This is not protection.

Customer support has been absolutely useless. No clear explanation, no accountability, no solution. Just scripted replies and passing the problem around. We’re now left guessing whether we’ll ever see the money at all.

For a platform handling billions in payments, this level of failure and lack of responsibility is unacceptable.

I had the worst experience with PayPal

I had the worst experience with PayPal. On 26 August 2025, €29.75 was charged from my account by Booking.com BV, but I never made any booking and received no service. I provided proof, including screenshots from my Booking.com account showing no reservations.

PayPal closed my case saying the transaction was authorized, completely ignoring that no service was delivered. When I called PayPal support on 27 August 2025, the agent was extremely rude and unprofessional, drinking tea and eating while speaking to me, and told me "this is your problem." I was shocked and humiliated by this treatment.

I feel completely unprotected as a consumer. I have already escalated my case to CSSF in Luxembourg, because PayPal failed to handle it properly.

PayPal must be held accountable for their lack of consumer protection and their disrespectful customer service

Paypal is the worst piece of shit company that will use predatory blackmailing for extracting your personal information. They will let you send money to your paypal account and then immediately lock it, and make you go through many loops to ever gain access to your account!

Paypal complaint/fraud

I contacted paypal in US as I could not login to my account and the "supporter" said it could be fixed by making a falsch via transfer Western Union to Uganda as they had a cooperation with WU. It did not worked and the bank blocked my card. Then she said I should try Remitly instead. and they took 244 dkk from my account. WU took 2500 dkk and now the "supporter# doesnt answer ny qustions, although she promise to compensate me. Her name is Christine Sanders. I wil make an official complaint to Paypal US. Ater contact with payoal it turns out that it was scam, by other persons, so forget it and take care of this scammer

Don't use paypal.

Don't use paypal.
Paypal has withdrawn money from my account even though the payment was set to inactive. Paypal protects a fraudulent website (there are also others who have reported this on trustpilot) and allows the website to withdraw money from my payment card even though I have said no to the payment. I have complained about this to paypal but they have rejected my complaint and withdrawn the money from my account even though I have a screenshot that shows that they are not allowed to automatically withdraw money on my behalf

Not safe service, do not use

I can see that many more have had the same problem, so I don't understand how this illegality can be allowed to continue. I have now created 2 cases on the same issue, but Paypal closes the case each time and says they can't find any errors. This has left me incredibly upset and finding it very unsafe to use Paypal.

Paypal took money from me and now they…

Paypal took money from me and now they want me to wait maybe up to 30 days for the money they took by mistake. So i payed an internet site 199 dolars and good think i went to view my account caute they took it twice. They didnt send me a message or nothing about that mistake. If i didnt look at my bank account and call the bank first and then paypal they wouldnt do nothing. I asked for confirmation mail about mistake and that my money is on the way, first time they didnt wanted to send me, second time i told i will go to cops and then they told me that they wil send the message. They did with wrong amount and nothing that they r sorry about all situation... So i m not using them again cause to take that ammount of money by mistake it simply cant be allowed..

PayPal is the BEST 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Paypal is awesome and extremely helpful when a buyer cheat you. I was chested by a buyer from AliExpress who claimed to have shipped the wine rack I bought with my PayPal account. I wrote to seller in two months without any luck recieving the wine rack. He just came up with excuses. After a while I contacted AliExpress who didn’t reply about my problem and before I know of it, there were a text the item was recieved, which wasn't true. With screenshot between buyer and I PayPal took my case and ruled in my favor due to the clear proves from texts between buyer and I.

Never ever have I had a problem with PayPal in all the years using PayPal, they're just the best and deliver Top Service 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

i don't think i have ever come across…

i don't think i have ever come across customer service so bad as this one. someone purchased a pair of pants from me I clearly have the receipt from postnord that the item was delivered to his address in Australia, he claimed the item was lost and the case was decided in the buyer's favor. what the actual f? Do not trust this company and only use it if there is no other option. (I think most people only use them if there is no other option anyways, which says a lot about this company unfortunately)

Business support not helpful

Impossible to talk with customer service as a business. We need REST API enabled however it's been 1.5 months, hundreds of emails and calls and no departments can help us. We are extremely disappointed and already considering stopping using PayPal altogether. It is simply frustrating.
