Would not even give them 1 star if trustpilot allowed
Dreadful to deal with
Ordered something to be sent an email next day to say it was out of stock
Tried to call but no customer service number. You have to use a chat bot which has no one on it. 3 days I tried no one ever replied. Multiple emails later finally got my £761 back 3 weeks later.
Bought many things from Currys in the past. Many Thousands of pounds and will never use them again,
They will probably blame COVID and staff working from home, but they don’t have any problems getting staff to sell you something. No problem there at all, but if you can put enough staff on the sales team you should put staff on customer service, it is the measure of a company how you deal with your customers.
Amazon for me from now on. They know the importance of back up

Ordered a 1660ti in January

Ordered a 1660ti in January. Was cancelled by them about a week later because it was out of stock. despite multiple requests for a refund they have basically stolen my money. Tried to do a chargeback from my bank but they said no too.

I’m surprised!

When I saw the reviews after buying I absolutely **** myself thinking I’d just been scammed. My experience was different I didn’t receive email confirmation or anyway to cancel my order. However when the day arrived I received text messages about my order. And even had the delivery drivers call me a few times when they was close. Product came and I’m not disappointed!

Judging by the reviews it must be a rare case purchases actually go well like mine did. Due to this I won’t be buying from them again as I don’t want to risk it.

Zero star experience.

I have given PC World Business 1 star because zero is not an available option, but let’s be clear - this is a zero star experience.
Like many others on here, I ordered an item online (in this case a printer) and paid my money at checkout. A few days later I got an email saying my order was cancelled, but no offer to give me back my money, just that it would be ‘credited to my account.’ If I couldn’t have my printer, then I just wanted a refund, so I called customer services. After almost 2 hours on the phone and speaking to 4 different people (all of whom said they were not in the right department), the final person just cut me off.
I then emailed and asked for a refund. A few days later I got a reply saying that I would receive a refund in 3 to 5 working days. And then nothing more was heard. I’ve emailed again and I’m still waiting, but the penny has finally dropped as to what is going on here. It appears thousands of people are experiencing this problem - they pay their money and the order is cancelled. PC World then hang onto the money for much longer than they should. It’s feasible that the amounts involved in this caper could be millions of pounds. Interest free loans!
It isn’t bad customer service - it’s a ruse to use our money as cash flow.

Worst customer service ever - worse than BT - that's saying something!

Have tried all this to return an item so far:
• Raising a return via the Currys website on 11/02/2021, 15/02/2021 and 21/02/2021
• Calling 0344 561 6789 twice on 15/02/2021 – both times I received a recorded message saying that all operators were busy and returns should be raised via the website.
• Calling 0344 561 0000 on 15/02/2021. After 45 minutes I eventually spoke with someone who was very helpful but was not able to expedite this as he had no access to the Business customer accounts
• Raising a complaint via the website on 15/02/2021 – I explained the situation and received an email back saying that returns could only be arranged by calling 0344 561 6789. I responded to this email but have heard nothing since.
• Tried using the chatbot 7 times but, although the agent responses take about 20 minutes they expect the customer to respond immediately – as I am working I am not able to do this.
• 23/02/2021 – posted on FB – got a message from Currys but as soon as I explained the problem they told me to log on to the website. They then sent a link to another part of the site. I logged the issue there – once again, no response.
Have finally written a letter - not sure what else to do.
Probably the worst customer service ever - truly appalling.

Worst customer service ever!

Worst customer service ever!
I ordered 3 items, payment was taken but only 2 arrived. calls to customer services result in a message saying we are too busy to take the call and to use web chat. Web chat took 30 mins to get a response. eventually we were told there was no stock despite the item still showing as in stock on the website. They couldn't arrange a refund on webchat. Called customer services mutiple times, same recorded message. 3 emails sent, no response to any of them It has been over 3 weeks and still no refund.
One of the items was faulty, same problem, nobody can help me. Chose sales option when calling, the very impolite lady on the phone said you have to use webchat and hung up! called again, asked to make a complaint and was transferred to somebody who logged a complaint and said he would transfer me to somebody that will help with the refund and he will call back later to update me with the complaint. After being on hold for 38 minutes, the lady answering the call could not help as she only dealt with personal accounts not business. transferreed me to the same recorded message to use webchat. The complaints guy called me back, i told him what had just happened, he said he has found the correct department and will transfer me again, and he just transferred me to the same recorded message. Have tried again for 30 mins, and am getting no where. Further emails send re return and refund of missing item but no response as yet. Will contact my credit card company and see if they can help with a chargeback

Selling out-of-stock items, then no support and no refund!

Never again.
Spend nearly £1,000 on computer equipment for work based on website showing available stock.
Chasing for delivery date very hard - phone support playing recorded message telling me how busy they are and that I should use online chat. Online chat not responding.
Eventually get through, by phoning the sales team and getting transferrred.
Turns out they didn't have stock, so I requested refund to my company card that I paid on.
This apparently takes up to 5 working days (who knows why).
19 days later - still no refund, so try to contact support again - again had to do this via the sales team to get through.
Apparently they don't have customer support people working from home and not many are allowed into the business.
Who knew that this company would be so behind on technology that it was unable to provide telephony for customer support staff to work from home!
Still not got refund, but again promised it in the next few days.
After that, I will have to report to credit card company that the money was taken under false pretences in order to get it back.
I WILL NOT USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN

Didn't expect this from Currys PC World Business

We decided to make some big purchases for our company through PC World Business as we thought of them as a reputable high street brand. If they keep up the scam artist behaviour they'll be joining the High Street graveyard soon.

We have had no communication regarding an order that should have arrived 5 days ago and we are unable to get through to anyone at all for help.

The order is showing in our online account under Past Orders, and nothing shows in our Orders in Progress tab. Almost £400 deducted from our card, no further communication after our Order confirmation on the 17th February.

I understand things are not normal at the moment, and understand entirely if there may be delays along the chain. However the websites states that online in operating as normal during Coronavirus, and not once along the way have we received a warning that things may be taking longer than usual. We expected this delivery Next Day, as that is what was stated at time of ordering.

When you try all contact channels on the website, you are stonewalled at every channel.

When you try to CALL them on 0344 561 6789, you are on hold for ages and then transferred to an automated message and cut off. Sometimes you might get through to a human after a long time, only to be told that you have reached the Personal department, and not Business (even though you called business) and then you get redirected to "Business" again to be cut off.

When you try to reach out to an agent via ONLINE CHAT, you enter your name and email address and are taken to the chat box, where you are asked to select the nature of your order. I selected Discuss Existing Business Order, to which I was then asked whether my order began with CUR or CIR, to which I selected the NO option (as my order number is comprised entirely of digits and prefixed with no letters at all), to which you are then presented with the message that your chat is being transferred to another agent. Three animated dots continue to play out given the illusion that you are being connect to an agent, however no agent appears. I have been held in this state of limbo for up to an hour at one time to be told that no agents are available. I have repeated this process a dozen times to no avail.

When you try to see how to contact PC World Business through EMAIL the only address the website displays is one to contact if you wish to opt out of marketing. It then says you can fill out a contact form, however no link to this elusive contact form is presented. The contact form appears to not exist at all!

Twitter hasn't been very helpful, the only customer service linked to the company are the @TeamKnowhowUK who incidentally KnowNothing.

What the hell is going PC World Business? We need answers, we need our printer we ordered, and if we ain't getting those, we need our dosh back.

Worst

Honestly, could not be worse. Unreliable with deliveries & have possibly the worst customer service. No one answers emails, you will be on hold for hours and they suggest a web chat that is rarely manned. Anyone you do get hold of is rude. You have to chase relentless just to get a refund you are owed.

Should have read these reviews first.

How I wish I’d read the reviews here first!
Bought an item and was told next day delivery, sure enough it never arrived. Phoning is futile, if you are placing an order they answer immediately, if you’re chasing an order you are ‘cut off’ and told to use web chat. After holding for over half an hour, the same response each time, it is not their fault it is a third party supplier. My order was with Currys Business! They are obviously ‘Drop Shipping’, a very cheap way of doing business. I will NEVER use Currys in any of their guises ever again. I am, as we speak waiting for my refund, but from other reviews I can see I’m probably in for a long wait!
I have never seen such a well known brand with such a poor rating on here.
DO NOT USE!

SCAM & LIERS = HEADACHE

Absolutely SCAM & LIERS

Ordered a CPU. was showing in stock, days later nothing turned up, then got an email saying out of stock & to claim refund within 5 days unless I will be given a CREDIT NOTE!! tried to call numerous times, no awnser, sent emails, no awnser, then weeks later an email saying yes they will refund within 3-5 days, guess what, yup, NO REFUND. I have had to go through my credit card company to claim a REFUND & they are still playing games, LYING, Saying they have tried refunding me but I have given them a diffrent account number, which is a lie, they never asked for an account number! And when I've been refunded in the past from companies they only refund back to the same card. This has been an absolute massive headache, been going on since the 31st January. SAVE YOURSELF AN HEADACHE. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS SCAM LYING SHAMBLES OF A COMPANY!!!!

I cant get my money back

I cant get my money back! After trying to support this business as a household name I've been disappointed in their inability to provide the service they advertise; additionally I have now been waiting since the start of the year for a refund worth nearly £1,000; this is for equipment I need to run my business.

I cannot make contact other than to the sales line, they are quick to be rude and cut me off.

The items I didn't receive are affecting my business, and the treatment I have received means I can never use Currys PC world, I will advise anyone against their service, and it has motivated me to leave this review to warn others.

Currys Business won't give me my money back

Went to purchase a product online which said was in stock but got an email saying that they do not have stock available. Asked for a refund 2 weeks ago but heard nothing since.

They have stolen my money and shout at you down the phone when you call them. Scam Artists at work.

DO NOT USE CURRYS BUISNESS OR CURRYS AT ALL!

My story is pretty much the same as everyone else.
Ordered a GPU of which they said they had 6 in stock...MORE LIKE 0 in stock...
Only to receive an email saying....Yup you guessed it..."We had to cancel your order".

Bought it on the 5th FEB and still no refund. Opened up dispute through the bank.

I don't like writing bad reviews but they definitely deserve one.

BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK......

(I have now been refunded)

So like others here an order was taken luckily in my case a small Displayport cable. A week afterwards no sight and ended up on Amazon to effectively repurchase. Tried to see whether anyway of cancelling order. No answers on phone lines or web chat despite multiple attempts. When lockdown ends might try in store if they survive as a business until then...with customer service this bad.. didn't want to use Amazon because wanted to support others looks like a big mistake

Horrible experience with Curry’s PC…

Horrible experience with Curry’s PC World Business.
Ordered a printer that they were unable to supply, order was cancelled and I was told a refund would be given back on original purchase method. 7 days later this was not received again contacted Curry’s PC World Business had had 2 people hang the phone up on me, finally got through to speak to someone who advised the refund had not been put through so they said the refund would be redone. Another 7 days later and still no refund.
They are impossible to contact, their online chat doesn’t work it just dumps you out after a period of time before you even chat with anyone, their customer service line doesn’t work as you get a message and then it hangs up and if you do manage to speak to a human being they don’t do what they say they are going to.
I will never buy from this company again.

Ordered a GPU at a cost of £1700 quid

Ordered a GPU at a cost of £1700 quid. . Thoight it was strange as nobody else had stock but with currys being a large tech company I went ahead. At the time I ordered there was 6 in stock.

Ordered the GPU, next day order cancelled and offered to credit my account. No thank ups emailed them on the 6th of this month for a refund, 5,6 email on and Still no sign of this being refunded back.

How can this be legal in this day and age. . Never will I order from currys again.

If not resolved by Monday next week I will have to escalate with my bank!

Do not buy!

Escalated this and reported to trading standards!

They cancel the order, takes money then refuse refund.

*Revised to 2 stars
I have since received a full refund after 3 weeks after kicking up a fuss.

I ordered 5 different equipment from them for home office totaling over £3K on the same day. They all showing as in stock when I ordered.

They cancelled everything moments later saying no stock in warehouse for fulfilment.

Then day after they took the money for my orders even though it was cancelled day before. I promptly called (50min wait) and was advised they will provide a credit note. I asked for a refund and was told it will be back in my account in 3-5 days.

After a week, no sign of refund, I called agent and was told it was “approved yesterday” and it will be in my account in 1-3 days.

After 3 days still no refund, I called (50mins) again only to be told again it was “approved yesterday” and will be another 3 days.

Finally today after another 3 days I got hold of chat agent (another 50 mins) and guess what they said, yup “approved yesterday” wait 1-3 days. I asked for an email as proof and the agent disconnected me.

I don’t know why they insist on taking money for stock they don’t have, or don’t immediately refund, but it is highly unorthodox, at this point I don’t think they even have the money to refund me and just stalling.

I will be asking bank to charge back next week as I think am just wasting my time at this point.

Do not use them and make the same mistake as me thinking the curry’s brand is trustworthy.
