Very and professional and just not honest straight up
Well first off I called and made an appointment ahead of time and when I arrived at the appointment they had no record of it and actually made me feel like I had to even say it well I'm not crazy okay someone gave me an appointment they didn't acknowledge it or anything else they just rescheduled I drove over 30 miles with the price of gas to get over there so I went back the following Monday it was a Friday the day of my 1st appointment when they said I didn't have an appointment. . I was having an issue I needed to get the full dentures I was having an issue getting a company who would accept denti-cal and when I finally found them my initial 2nd appointment that following Monday they stated that they can make me dentures. Previously a dentist told me that I couldn't have dentures made because my mandibular my lower bone was too gone they needed to do a bone graft and referred me to a prothodontist and I gave Pearl Dental that information when I had my appointment but they still stated that they can make the denture but tried to sell me a $7,000 set of snap-ons at 66 years old and limited income very limited disabled and retired there was no way that I was going to put myself in a situation like that to be paying. I'd be lucky if I paid it off before I was dead. When I got back from that appointment I called denti-cal with a concern of because if a nerve opens up that I I'll be in really big trouble with the nerve and the pain so she suggested that I contact them because they concurred with the previous dentist stating that it was very far gone the bone in the bottom so she said if they concur and 100% agree with the previous dentist to see or have them send over an authorization or an application or whatever with the work I needed done and the official denti-cal code and that with the code number official denti-cal code number for authorization there might be a good chance if I was denied if I appeal that they may pay for the graft. And this was customer service at denti-cal advising me to see if Pearl Dental would send over the work that I needed done with the official code customer service stated if I was denied then I could appeal it and have an appointment over the phone and possibly be approved for the bone graft work. After speaking with the customer service rep at denti-cal I wrote a email to them stating that information asking them if they would do that so that if if I needed the graft bone graft so badly that I could possibly get it done if I appealed and went through that process they may or may not approve it. She stated if they 100% agree with the previous dentist stating that I needed a bone graft to have them try to process an authorization and with an official code and send it to denti-cal.. at my appointment the man that I spoke to his exact words where he 100% agreed but that they would do the dentures and they just be sloppy on the bottom but completely agreed so I figured I'd give it a a shot and send him an email asking him if they do it. They never responded to that email not not a single response. Pearl Dental after that email wouldn't do my denture anymore and just wrote me a referral open referral to a prothodontist knowing that I wasn't going to find one who would accept denti-cal because Denti-cal won't pay for it so that basically they just threw me out of the office so to speak for lack of a better term they just wrote me off so a big waste of my time my money my gas and another 2 months I finally found another dentist who's going to do my dentures for me thank God but I told him I gave him all the information at the second appointment so the first appointment they said I never had one which is and then treating me very unprofessional in that regard I had to literally say well I'm not crazy okay anyway bottom line is I gave the information the initial information what the dentist told me that I needed to see a prothodontist and they said they would do the dentures anyway okay after trying to sell me the snap-ons and so I was all geared up they we're going to do my dentures. after I sent that email I was gone in their eyes so it was just a big waste of time and very unprofessional very unprofessional. I'm grateful that I finally found someone who will do my dentures and understood all frustration and worry and wasted five six months just trying to get someone who will accept denti-cal which is very hard and they knew that. I wasn't impressed at All by their services and basically they just wrote me off and did the same thing the first and second dentist did wrote me a referral and open referral knowing also that Dental will not approve any prothodontist work so I thought at least they would do what the customer service representative at denti-cal suggested and possibly I get help with the graft but I'm going to have to live with what I got and hopefully it'll last me another 5 years.
