Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 241 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Customers frequently reported significant dissatisfaction with customer service, citing unhelpful agents with limited English and templated responses. The online testing process was widely criticized for being frustrating, annoying, and difficult to navigate due to buggy software and unclear requirements. Many also found staff, including proctors, to be rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. Some people also noted issues with inflexible rescheduling policies and proctors unexpectedly terminating exams or causing disruptions, even when users believed they were following rules.

$425 Proctored exam with NO Proctor availabile.

I took the PMP exam Proctored online with Pearson VUE on March 13, 2026. 2/3 of the way through the exam, it froze. I clicked the button for the Proctor, got a message that the Proctor was alerted but a Proctor never responded. After a half hour of being recorded, afraid to do anything that would disqualify my test, I picked up my cell phone, found their website and chat and let them know I had been waiting for a half hour for a Proctor.

Abysmal

Title: No flexibility even with proof

Missed my CITB test by 7 minutes because the bus I was on had a puncture and was taken out of service. TfL confirmed the incident in writing.

Despite providing proof that the delay was completely outside my control, CITB refused to help or reschedule the test.

Very poor customer support and no flexibility at all.

Their customer service is the worst

Their customer service is the worst.
Due to their incompetence, language gap & delayed answers, I had to miss an exam as they were too lazy to find a test center.
I do not recommend. If you can, find another way.

What the hell is this Pearson VUE…

What the hell is this Pearson VUE system? Completely unacceptable experience.
The software never allowed me to launch my exam. It kept asking me to close a process called “ServiceHost”, even though it was already closed multiple times.

I tried everything repeatedly, but the exam window never opened. Because of this technical failure from Pearson VUE, I completely lost my exam attempt — and today was the last date.

This is extremely frustrating after preparing for the certification. A testing platform should be reliable, especially when candidates are paying and preparing for months. Very disappointing experience.

Unreasonably bad service

I had to write an exam online and from the start the interpretation of policies were questioned. Vikash couldn't speak English clearly, nor properly. His definition of "out of arms reach" means not in the room. Apparently my arms can grab items over 4 meters away without moving.

Their policies as stated contradicts what their employees (for their sake I hope they are contractors instead) enforce. They fail to provide even the first criteria of English speaking personnel in an English exam!

After this incident I logged a complaint which was swiftly ignored and waved from the hand. This isn't the type of company you want to deal with.

Avoid them as far as possible, and if you really can't, establish your own company to do their work. It will be easier and less frustrating than dealing with them!

Avoid them as if the plague!

I passed but pearson vue proctors sucks. Do test centers instead!

Proctor was rude when I didn't realize chat box was in corner of screen. Hence, I did not notice until call. Proctor complained they told me twice before calling me, yet how was I supposed to know if I was unable to see chatbox. I suggest that Pearsons adds a notification message or something, instead of the immediate lashback and attitude I recieved for accidentally leaning to close for a moment while reviewing my answers. Would have preferred a nicer warning... They also started telling me I can enlarge the text last minute, which should honestly be told before hand, instead of wasting my exam time.

The saff working at this center in…

The saff working at this center in Edinburgh Union street Named Austin and Norma, should be investigated, they are extremely rude, showed no professionalism, and very disrespectful in the way they spoke and act with people. I couldn’t believe I faced this in UK, and I felt discriminated especially from Austin, he looked Angry and just tried to teach me a lesson because I was 2 minutes late, and mind you I waited in a queue and 2 ladies in front of me had the same appointment time as me, he let them in and turn around to me angrily that I won’t take the test, I lost my £160 , I asked him why did you let the 2 ladies in , because there appointment was 1:30pm same as me and they went in after their scheduled time, he couldn’t give me an answer and started stuttering. Norma was so rude and tried to justify her rude behavior and remarks. This is the most pathetic thing I’ve ever seen and been through. They should be investigated, as I was clearly discriminated against. Terrible experience

Support without ability to act

I faced technical issues and had great challenges with both the resolution and rescheduling of the Online-exam.
Considering the price you pay it really is a bad experience overall.

Denied for having a beard

If I could give minus ratings I would.

I was denied entry into my exam as my headshot didn't match the photo on my ID. I used the photo of my valid in date UK drivers license and the only difference is that I have less hair and a beard you can still tell it is me. The proctor denied me entry saying there was issues with the photos but yet if there were "issues" the website would have said when uploading the photo - this was confirmed by customer service who then proceed to send me a list of acceptable ID's and guess what is on there? That is right a Valid in date UK drivers license. So am I meant to shave off my beard and try and grow my hair back to make sure I match my photo? Absolute scam of a company I swear. I wish MS would actually bin this lot off or have some competition so people can sit exams as this company is poor!

I would not even give a single star for…

I would not even give them a single star. Their customer service and ticket team is the worst I have ever seen. They do not inform you if a ticket is raised. They don't give updates on the ticket. Please don't take this exam. Every time you have to call customer service to get an update on the ticket. And they put you on hold for a very long time and give invalid recent updates.

The reviews speak for themselves

The reviews speak for themselves. If you dont have to work with this company, just don't. Do yourself a favor and ignore them at all cost. Terrible Customer service, I mean I have alot of time for dealing with customer service but wow, this company takes the top place for the rudest I have ever dealt with.

Acceptable as long as everything goes right

Fine as long as everything goes right. If anything goes wrong it's a nightmare.

Customer support is there but fairly rogue, some members will help, some will not, no timelines, or information on where to find things.

I had an issue with taking a salesforce exam, it just would not load. Same system I have taken the last 4 exams.

Reached out for help:
- What is your candidate ID? - Where do I find it, no answer
- Give me the information from the email - What is the subject ID so I can find the email? no answer
- We will create a case - What is the approx response time so I can plan my day? 2-3 days, which is fine but I would be taking my test now if there wasn't some kind of VUE system issue.

Very frustrating service. But they did have online chat and people helping. So that's good.
