Awful food!!
This place is extremely overpriced for the quality of the food we were given. Service charge was £8 and the staff didn’t even come over to ask how the food was. Tried one of the sandwiches from the afternoon plate and it was disgusting. Still feel sick. To add on to this, the coffee was cold. Who on earth serves cold coffee. It feels like i’m paying more for the pictures than anything else. Extremely disappointed and will not be coming here i again. Way better places on that road to visit. Don't spend your money here!
Not worth it
I always wanted to try Peggy Porschen’s brunch. I was quite disappointed with the quality: you are paying for the decor, the location but the quality of the cakes is very poor. The eggs with hollandaise sauce were alright, not exceptional, seeing the price we paid. Hot chocolate with ice was without any sugar. Dry cakes and artificial flavours for the buttercream. Not worth it!
Horrible service
The most unfriendly, unpleasant, awkward service I’ve ever experienced. Not worth spending my hard earned money on a place that puts all its effort into its decor instead of its cakes and service. Do not recommend and definitely won’t be going back. Horrible service and cakes were dry. Overpriced for just its name!
Overpriced and underwhelming
I have wanted to try Peggy Porschen’s cakes for such a long time, yesterday I was able to pop in and buy a selection of 6 cupcakes of 3 different flavours to try. Sadly I was very disappointed and won’t be going again. The server was very pleasant and helpful but she had just chucked the cakes in the box so that they where all smashed up and unattractively squashed into each other, there was no need for this as the box has separate holes for each cake, I didn’t realise this until I got back to my car just round the corner and excitedly peeped inside the box, I could of cried as they cost £36 and was for my daughters birthday. I couldn’t go back as I’d run out of parking time so went home thinking it’s ok because they’ll still taste nice…. Wrong!!!! They tasted of absolutely nothing, dry and bland and the strawberry on top of one was all dry and curled up like it had been sat there for days. All in all an overpriced gimmick for a supposedly instagram worthy experience. I won’t be putting my photos on any social media as it’s quite embarrassing that I fell into the trap. Save your money and go to Greggs instead as at least you know you are getting tasteless cheap rubbish from there.

I made a reservation to celebrate my 30th Birthday with a few friends for brunch. We went to Peggy Porschen in Chelsea. The place was beautiful and the food was good. However we were very dissapointed by the service from the waitress. My booking was for 1.5hr and after 1hr we were rushed and asked to leave. This was not a pleasant birthday experience for me.
Magical place for Afternoon Tea.
My girlfriend and I visited Peggy Porschens in Belgravia last weekend after some of those cute, tasty looking, instagramable cakes and we were not disappointed! Had a wonderful date with her. They have a marvellous arrangement and a wide variety of things to choose from including gluten-free friendly foods, which all looked and tasted fantastic. Will definitely pop by again sometime soon. It may seem a bit overpriced but I guess that's because of the location...
Vegan Afternoon Tea - Wonderful customer service
I was planning a VEGAN afternoon tea experience for my birthday and after all my first choices were either no longer serving or fully booked I had almost lost hope that I would be able to find somewhere.
After googling "whimsical afternoon tea" Peggy Porchens came up and I emailed.
I received a prompt and friendly response with next-day availability. I was able to book the night before.
The team onsite were wonderfully friendly, attentive, informative and offered seating suggestions.
The Blossom Jasmine tea was fragrant and delicious and everything came wonderfully presented.
The vegan sandwiches and vegan miniature eaten mess were my favourites. ( I would have prefered more sandwiches or vegan savoury options and a couple more eaten mess :))
I think the plate for traditional afternoon tea looked more aesthetically presented and varied than the vegan offerings. I would love to see more variety for the vegan option including more savoury vegan options. (this is the only reason I did not give 5 stars)
Overall a wonderfully joyous experience and the team onsite really brought everything to life. I would definitely visit again and recommend it.
What's the less than underwhelming...
I have waned to visit Peggy Porschen for as long as I can remember and was finally able to do so today. I went there as a treat to my mum for her birthday. I made prior booking for light lunch/all day breakfast for 3.15 pm. Upon arriving, we were told that the kitchen was closed and only sweet treats were available. The menu online even says that light lunch menu is served till 4! as the other review have mentioned, the cake slices were small, drinks ridiculously expensive and they are truly thriving on the name. The cafe is more than adequately staffed but the service is atrocious - cakes delayed, drinks forgotten - I had to remind them about missing items twice and then i received the wrong order. A true game of 'how many people does it take to serve a slice of cake' especially when all of them had their heads together looking at the till to find my order. I have given 2 starts purely because the waitresses were well mannered but I have only come away from this experience with the knowledge that I have finally visited the infamous cafe and that this was the biggest waste of almost £50
Overarchingly underwhelming.
Cup Cakes were small, refrigerated and dry. I can make much better Red Velvet cake. Slices were the same. Brioche breakfast roll was unusual and nice and this justifies the price of it. Drinks all pricy.
Service- fell very short.disorganised. Menus incorrect had to ask multiple times for everything from menu to cutlery. Overall seems to rely on brand and name. I would not recommend. Underwhelming! Was not the experience I had booked.
The service was truly incredible
I came here for my birthday and was a bit worried as I’ve tried to go to brunch/dinner since we’ve been aloud back out into the world but being high risk due to being 7 months pregnant I’ve found places not following proper procedures and just felt completely on edge and unsafe most of the time but Peggy Porschen in Chelsea not only made me feel super safe but incredibly welcome too. They were constantly cleaning. All had proper masks on and everywhere was spaced out so customers weren’t on top of each other. The service was truly incredible, everyone was so friendly and nice and the food and treats were delicious. They even put a candle in my pancake brunch with a little happy birthday sign. They were just so lovely. I also ordered a cake that I couldn’t finish (eyes bigger than my belly) so I asked to take it home with me and when I got home they gave me a fresh slice of the same came in the box. Was such a unexpected lovely surprise. I will definitely be coming back here. It’s beautiful and honestly couldn’t of had a better day so thank you Peggy porschen you’ll never know how much I appreciate how safe you made me feel!
Very pretty
We went to Chelsea branch for my daughters birthday, it was ok pancakes are more cakes than pancakes, coffee too cold, hot chocolate to strong . Service ok but could have been better. But beautiful setting & nice clean everywhere,
