Never Again!

A very disappointing experience with no order received.
On April 6th 2026 I ordered a selection of 10 individual pencils and my account on the website said ‘Order dispacth (their spelling), tracked, number to follow’. After 3 days, still no tracking received so emailed company. After various promises to chase this up, still no tracking. Pencils4Artists blamed Royal Mail with excuses such as they didn’t scan it into their system, didn’t collect it from the locker and finally that Royal Mail had lost the package. A really unsatisfactory and stressful experience with having to send multiple emails and messages to get any information from the company. After threats to involve Trading Standards, they eventually offered a refund but this never appeared. I had to raise a dispute with my bank before a refund arrived.
This is no way to run a business and bears no comparison with service from businesses such as Jackson’s Art or Cult Pens.
Don’t use this company, it is not worth the hassle and looking at the reviews I wonder how they are still in business. I wish I had seen the reviews before I ordered. Never again!

Very slow delivery and awful communication

Firstly it took over 4 weeks to receive my order and when it arrived half the order was missing. There had been no communication about this.
After 4 weeks got a refund for missing item. Communication was awful very slow in replying. Would not recommend

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY

Another case of money taken, but pencils not showing up. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!
I was lucky to have used PayPal who arranged chargeback really quickly. But unfortunately no pencils to use for an online course.

I have ordered 2x and had issues with my last order

I have ordered 2x. My last order was actually shipped 2 days after ordering it, but they didn't inform me about it. I was in the dark until I wrote on 8th of December 25 and then I got an update that the shipment was shipped on 10th. They didn't provide any tracking nr. I was waiting for the shipment and found a custom notice in the mail box. The item had actually arrived on 05th of December and I found out about it on 10th of December. Those people should be more attentive to what they do. Probably an order overload. I think they are fair, but I have seen negative reviews so I don't know what's with their business

100% Scam

I believe that his site is now 100% a scam, avoid at all costs.
This is a direct quote in their email after ordering from them.
"...We aim to get all our orders out within 48 hours, stock permitting...Please note we often use all sorts of different boxes to pack our pencils in so your pencils may well come in boxes from a different type or brand....
Please note items sent with this service are not trackable."

They have things on their site and they don't know if its in stock? They refuse to mail it with tracking?
July 12 2025 I ordered art supplies from them. Contacted them almost a month later and this is their response.

"our sincere apologies that this package is not with you yet. We get our pckages collected by the Royal Mail which then go for processing and it now seems a couple of parcels went missing on that day. We are in contact with Royal Mail but we will redespatch your order."

But once again Now Aug 26, no tracking number no art supplies. This seems to be the MO now, to just apologize, delay and confuse.

I have always ordered from this company…

I have always ordered from this company and had good service so didn't bother to look at reviews. However this time I am still waiting for some pencils which were 'to follow' from 11 June. As everyone has said no response to emails, WhatsApp etc so shall be heading to PayPal for a refund it seems. Disappointing !! 1

Delivered half order and refused to refund the rest.

I ordered some Tombow brush pens at the end of May and within a week half the order arrived with a note saying the remainder would be delivered when they received more stock from their supplier. I waited a while and then tried emailing, texting, WhatsApp but there was little response and no forthcoming offer of a refund either. Eventually in July I went via the Paypal dispute channel and magically two days later my refund appeared!!

Communicate to your customers

I had used this company a couple of times 2 years ago and was happy with everything, so I ordered 5 pastel pencils on 16th May. Although they emailed to say order received, I did not hear from them again to say when they were being dispatched. I tried to telephone, text , WhatsApp and emailed the company but still no response. After 3 weeks I emailed again to say I would cancel the order if they did not reply. Amazingly, I received a delivery exactly 4 weeks from the date of placing the order. There was no explanation about the delay but at least I did get all the items I ordered. If the company communicated with their customers more I'm sure everyone would be more understanding.

Where are my pencils?

Used this company some time ago, no issues. This time I ordered on 5th June, got emails saying on way but now 18th and no signs of pencils. Stupidly I paid by card, not Paypal so whether I see my £18 of pencils I don't know. I keep waiting as I don't wish to re-order if coming but need to start a commission soon. I have emailed, texted, left voice message, whats app !! to no avail.

Don’t bother ordering from here

Don’t bother ordering from here. I ordered on 10 May got an email saying the order had been dispatched on 29th May. How it takes that long for a company to pick and dispatch I don’t know. It is now 4 June and still no package.

received my order from April 1st on May…

received my order from April 1st on May 12! and then an wrong article sent!! Im STILL waiting for my Order from 10 April, it hasnt even been dispatched yet! How can one give to a company like this a good review? So not only are the orders not checked properly before sending, the are so VERY VERY late!!

I have successfully placed 2 orders for…

I have successfully placed 2 orders for Faber Castle watercolour pencils which arrived when they should have
But my third order, apparently despatched 22 April never arrived
I emailed, I sent a message on WhatsApp (not read) and left a voicemail on a landline number
I really never expected to be ghosted
I never thought I’d lose money by not receiving my order
I’m quite disappointed with this
I have lost money I can’t afford
I would just like an explanation

Risky retailer

Update.
I ordered on 17th April and have not received anything. Have sent a text message and left voicemail but haven’t had any response yet. Have ordered before with no problem. Sent a WhatsApp message yesterday and lo and behold I received an email today to say my order has been posted. Not the 48hr turn around they claim to do. Still not received anything and no response to phone calls or messages. My advice would be don’t use this company. Order received yesterday after instructing my bank to apply for a refund. Note scrawled on barely legible invoice/copy of order saying it had been returned as package was damaged. If that was the case they could have let me know. Also one pencil out of stock - they said refunded but not received in bank.
